A Must Read!
Makenna Reagan and Kenzie Reese are best friends and roommates, but they share a history neither expected. What begins as a case of mistaken identity leads through a journey of secrets long hidden, danger, and deceit. Poignant at times, humorous at others, this powerful story of friendship, love, mystery and personal triumph is a must-read.

"I have now completed the Mirrors Don't Lie Book trilogy and I loved every line of every page!!! It was a mystery, romance, history novel all wrapped up into one package. This is one of those books that I read in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. Twists and turns throughout the book until the final page. And I have to comment that I love reading a good book with romance in it but not all the sexual exploits and graphic details!!!"
"Loved getting to know Kenzie and McKenna! The ending was perfect and I hate that the ride is over!"
"This series is the best that I have read in a very long time. It will have you laughing one minute and scared to be alone the next."
"I really enjoyed this series, great story lines."

Best-selling indie and hybrid author Becki Willis loves crafting stories with believable characters in believable situations. Many of her stories stem from her own personal experiences. (No worries; she's never actually murdered anyone).

When she’s not plotting danger and adventure for her imaginary friends, Becki enjoys reading, spending time with her family, unraveling a good mystery (real or imagined), dark chocolate, and a good cup of coffee.

A professed history geek, Becki often weaves pieces of the past into her novels. Family is a central theme in her stories and in her life. She and her husband enjoy traveling but believe coming home to their Texas ranch is the best part of any trip.

Becki has won numerous awards—including two Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Awards, InD’Tale’s coveted RONE, and been named Finalist for two Claymore Awards—but feels the real compliments come from her readers. Drop in for an e-visit anytime at beckiwillis.ccp@gmail.com, or www.beckiwillis.com.

Kenzie's character ruined the trilogy

Unfortunately, I found that the high points of these books, the few exciting parts, were not enough to actually make this a trilogy worth reading. I almost stopped in the first book when it drug on so slow and boring, but after chapter 9 it was ok. Ugh I just wish I could have stopped there. Where I grew to like Makenna and Hardin's story, it was all ruined in the second and third book by the pathetic, whiney, selfish Kenzie. How someone honorable and sensible like Travis could physically be around her without vomiting is a mystery to me. And to put up with her constant flutterings over another man after he had spent personal time and energy to save her life! I found her disgusting and down right unlikable. It was even worse in the third book when, every time Kenzie wasn't the center of everyone's attention she threw a fit and pouted like a spoiled two year old. Even after finding out the man she supposedly loves is putting himself in a deadly situation just by worrying about her, she can't handle being under police protection for 5 days? I have never read a book that evoked so much hate and distain for the main character, I refuse to call her a heroine, because after she so selfishly, carelessly and repeatedly puts all her loved ones in danger she is a pathetic excuse of a woman and human being in general. Kenzie's character ruined the entire series.

Mirrors Don't Lie Series is composed of three books concerning twin sisters separate at the age of three. I dislike them both cause of their actions, reactions and stupidity. The story line is full of unrealistic events in order for the story to flow. The dialog sometimes borders on stupid. More thought should have been put into these books because they could have really been great reads. The books do need to be heavily edited. Mafia is uppercase when it refers to the Costra Nostra, otherwise lowercase is OK if it's like the "diaper" mafia wrecking havoc at the child care center. 3*

The Girl from Her Mirror #1 - Well written, but need to be better though through. I've read other books by Ms. Willis and enjoyed them. I was disappointed when she made the character stupid in order to advance the story. I would have found another way for the separation instead of believing a total stranger in a phone call; yep, no face-to-face. She also disregards her instincts about another character. She Googles everyone, but the Ranger after all he's done for and with her?

A few action scenes were awkward, but there's no reason for the author to have experienced what she put her character through, so take with a grain of salt or tolerance. (For example: they're speeding and he wants her to turn left in 100 ft, which by the time he tells her what he wants that exit is long gone.)

There's reasons explained for everything the character didn't do and some got a bit redundant. The flow of the story is continuous and doesn't bog anywhere. Other than a few unrealistic bits (action and dialog), the story is entertaining and the language is clean. I skipped what looked like a sex scene; written sex is so boring but sexual tension is fun. I like the family members and the roommates, all come across as likable. There's no cliffhanger, but the Mafia is still in the picture. 4*

Mirror, Mirror on Her Wall #2 - It's the other sister's turn and she's a terrible person. Not all the secrets were uncovered in book one and this book does well with the clues and investigation, and is fast paced. But too many things weren't realistic and wouldn't occur in reality. The main character is a meadow muffin; self-centered, selfish and irresponsible. She places others, and herself, in danger without a clue or though in her head. She's always so smart and thinks she always right. Of course, she comes out smelling like a rose because the unrealistic events that are written for the story line. In real life, she would have died and the others with her.

Kenzie also can't make up her mind between two men. She's already in love with Travis, yet when she mets pretty boy Craven, she doesn't owe T her loyality or her heart. Say what? She also confuses caring with controlling. He's trying to keep her safe and Ms. Stupidity goes feminist and insulting. SW? Travis the Texas Ranger in love with this twit needs his head examined. Where's his self-esteem when she's treating him like something on the bottom of her shoe after strolling through a pig pen? Texas Rangers are not stupid men and to see him treated as an eejit is an insult to all Rangers. I don't care what body part is thinking when he's around her, he or any self respecting man would not tolerate this behavior. 3*

Light from Her Mirror #3 - I couldn't read any more of this series. The second book just irritated me beyond tolerance. I have read other books by Ms. Willis that I did enjoy and were better written and thought out, so maybe this was an earlier effort before she hit her stride. Because I don't expect improvements, I'll just cheat and give it 3*.

A great boxed set! Two friends that meet in college find out the have a lot in common even though their situations growing up couldn't be more different. They find a series of clues that reveal a scandal involving the mafia and prominent politicians and business executives. The girls also want answers to their past, but are having trouble and the search leads them across the country and several states. Meanwhile they are protected by a couple of very attractive Texas Rangers and find themselves falling in love. The author is able to construct a very interesting, suspenseful 3 book series with an interwoven plot. I highly recommend this box set!

Well, Becki Willis went out of her way to take us on a journey of hair pulling, edge of your seat kind of ride..I thought poor Kenzie would NEVER catch a break! The twists and turns and who is who really leave wanting to jump in the book and do something to some of the characters. More than once I found myself wanting to either shake Kenzie or Kenna or beat up other characters it was unreal, I just couldn't get enough! I loved these books! Absolutely AWESOME job done by Becki Willis on these books! So glad that I received these books in return for an honest review.

Delightful. All 3 books held my attention from the very first page. With just enough suspense to keep you interested, and enough questions to keep you wondering. The characters are easy to relate to. Some you love right from the start while others you feel sympathy. I was lucky enough to receive this set as a gift in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for the pleasure. I will be looking for more books from Becki Willis.
