Series is preceded by the Montana Wolves complete collection.
Chloe Cole is the New York Times bestselling author of steamy paranormal romance novels and one half of the happiest couple in the world. She and her handsome hubby currently reside in Pennsylvania with a four-pack of teenage boys and their two dogs, Gimli and Pug. When she isn't acting as maid, chef, chauffeur, or therapist, she can be found reading just about anything she can get her hands on, from Young Adult novels to books on poker theory. She hates bugs (except ladybugs, on account of their cute outfits), but lurrves chocolate. She also loves writing steamy romance stories, but also hopes to one day publish something her dad can read without wanting to poke his eyes out with sharp sticks. If she had to pick another occupation, she would be a pirate. Or, like, a ninja maybe. Oooh, or a Gryffendor!
The first book was okay, it did enough for me to want to read the next one. It had some great action scenes and I liked how she was willful and brave. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. It was like she had no control over her sex drive and just couldn’t resist his advances. It reminded me of someone who has Stockholm Syndrome.
It was immature and inconsistent. They fell in love in a week. It promoted the whole, “If he is mean to you he likes you” and I’m not in to that kind of thing. It had some beauty and the beast tones to it. I like the idea of a re-telling with a dragon and wolf shifter though, that was pretty original to me.
It was more about the sexual attraction than the emotional or mental attraction and sometimes they are done tastefully but I felt this one came up short for me.
If you like that kind of stuff, this here is the book for you. I love shifter stories but I just didn’t like this one.
This was nothing special, just a standard rmomance with plenty of the usual sex thrown in. I’m definitely glad I had it on KU becaude it would have been more disapointing otherwise.
There are 2 stories: Coercion and Obsession. Each story is broken into 3 parts (hence the 6 books).
Coercion is about Drake and Willa. This was my favorite of the two. Drake is a dragon shifter, while Willa is a wolf shifter. Interesting story, well worth the read.
Obsession s about Etienne & Taya. Etienne is a dragon shifter, Drakes best friend, and Taya is a human. While I didn't love this one as much as the first, it was still very good.
Drake and Willa. Etienne and Taya. Mina and Dan. 3 great shifter stories. I loved how one story was about 1 couple and introduced one of the main characters from the next story and so on. Chloe did a beautiful job of one story flowing into the next. I am also loving happy endings.
The characters are engaging. The plots are decent, if a bit predictable. All in all, there are worse ways to pass the time and I will definitely read more from this author.
Dominate men who love there women so Fierce they would give there lives for them. Don't let that fool you they can stand there own to. Dragon Dominate, Cocky, hot, Loving, Loyal, dragons what's not to love
Very entertaining. Read all 3 right through. couldn't put them down. Want a green Dragon for myself now. I'd love to be a Valkyier myself... Pam James.
i liked the first one best. drake and willa. very good. etienne and taya was good. she wzsvso cute and just rolled with everything that happened.she wzs brave and took matters into her own hands. i live mina and dan. they were awesome
You know the stories are good when you cry. I love that. I usually never read stories about shifters but I figured Id give it a try. I was not disappointed. I read Montana Wolves first and loved is so I had to continue on with the Dragons. OMG, I love that the women in these books are not weak. And the image of both Drake and Etienne was oh so fine....
So here is what love and enjoyed. Willa had a rough life. Yes she got out of an arranged marriage but to be thrown into another one by her cold parents. At first she had not love or interest in it. Drake was hard and cold. He didnt seem to understand that she felt like she was just an item bought and sold. Once they got closer and talked, things heated up. No, I dont plan to say more but it was part heart wrenching and joy.
With Taya, she just was in the wrong place. But thank GOD for Etienne. Ok originally I thought he was so cocky. Especially from the first story. But I warmed up to him fast. Anyway, he saved Taya and she was grateful to have someone that cared. She seemed to have little to none of that. But things arent always what they seem and having to fight for love is the hardest part. Let's just say, it was an up hill climb but well worth it. I was so moved by the characters and cried and felt heart sick but things worked out with a twist.
Now the only thing I am waiting for it when the Valkerie series will be out. I am so looking forward to reading Mina's story and anyone elses that will come from that one.
This complete collection even though it came to be a 6 book collection to me it was a 2 book collection with 3 parts each & they were very good (books 1-3 were called Coercion & books 4-6 were called Obsession = 2 full books). Coercion is about Drake & Willa; Drake is a dragon looking for a wife if not mate & Willa is a wolf who was tricked by her parents into a marriage to Drake as she thought that after her fiancee (another werewolf & another story) broke off their engagement as he had found his true mate that she too would be allowed to find hers. But her mean power hungry parents basically sold her to Drake. This is a HEA story that can be read as a standalone with some sex scenes.
The 2nd book Obsession is about Etienne (another dragon & you meet him in the 1st book) & a human named Taya. Their story starts out when Taya is walking home in the dark when she is attacked by what she initially thought as 2 smelly men & gets saved by Etienne who knows that they're 2 smelly rogue werewolves. Taya gets embroiled in the shifter knowledge & then becomes a target for the shifter council who decides to 1st send a Valkyrie to investigate & report back to them. Mina the Valkyrie actually saves the day by finding a way that Etienne & Taya can be together. This book can also be read as a standalone & is also a HEA story. Both books had some very good sex scenes & had my favorite kind of plot (good vs bad).
This is a reading bonanza! Two dragons. Two women as different as the dragons they are drawn to. Two stories--exciting, steamy with characters you love and want to see win. However Ms Cole doesn't make it easy and there is danger keeping the would be lovers apart.
Willa, wolf shifter leaves the pack she leaves with her parents -- little does she know what is in store for her. A dragon shifter, Drake, plans to take her as a mate. It would have been nice someone had mentioned it to her before she was left to meet him sight unseen. Just a hint--she doesn't take those plans in stride.
Set two, while Willa is strong physically and emotionally, Taya is a human school teacher with little luck in the romance department. Attacked by a rogue wolf shifter, Etienne, dragon charmer rescues her. As the story continues and the danger increases, she wonders if life would have been simpler if she had been left to die. But Etienne won't let her wallow in her situation. As things get worse, she comes into her own and the growth in strength and internally is a pleasure to watch. You will meet another woman (who is much more) who will infuriate Taya, Etienne, and you the reader, but you will want to know more about her.
One of the best things about a boxed set of a series is no cliff hangers, and here you have TWO full stories with no cliffs! Don't miss this! A hearty recommend from me.
Book 1-Coercion (Part 1): Having not read the "Montana Wolves" books, I don't know the whole backstory but there is enough shared in the beginning of this story to help the reader understand why Willa ends up with her dragon. Part 1 covers her leaving the pack with her parents and heading to a new pack. But Willa's parents have other plans for her. They've already signed her away as wife to a dragon shifter without her knowledge and they drop her off and haul ass away without a word. Her reaction is pretty much as expected, shock, anger, denial, fear, and hurt. She also experiences a strong sexual attraction to the dragon and uses her perceived power over his desire to try and control him. She bites off more than she bargained for. This is the first few days of their sharing a home and a bed. Willa remains defiant and intends to get away as soon as possible while Drake is hoping that their forced closeness is wearing down her resistance. This is a serialized story with an abrupt ending. In order to find out what happens, you must read parts 1-3 to fully complete "Coercion". Parts 4-6 are about a second dragon shifter, Etienne Beauchamp.
Paranormal contemporary with sex. This is both books of the Montana Dragons.
Book 1 is Coercion - 3 stars, maybe 3.5. This is Willa (who's a wolf shapeshifter) & Drake's story. Drake is a Scottish Dragon shapeshifter.
Willa is a former member of a Pack in Montana that has become less conservative. Her promised mate has taken another. Her parents make a deal with Drake without Willa's knowledge. What happens next is pretty predictable. Don't get me wrong, I liked the story.
Book 2 - Obsession. 3.5 stars, is Etienne's story. He saves a human girl, Taya from rape & murder by feral wolf shapeshifters. He then falls for her...hard. The dilemma is that he's obligated to mate with a shapeshifter, not a human. Even if she IS his true mate. We're also introduced to Mina, who gets her story in the next series.
This is one of those serials, where you get 6 - 8 chapters in 3 books. At $6.99 for 6 books, that's not too bad.
Three great paranormal romances. The first two were with male dragon shifters as the heros. The first story the dragon had a heck of a temper when he was hurting. But he loves with his whole heart. The second the dragon was a real charmer and a real hero. But his would be mate was also helped by a Valkyrie! And in the third story the female Valkyrie was the heroine, and she got some help from the dragons. All three stories had different couples and HEAs, just the way I like my romances.
And I loved it!!! I can't even get the words out of my mouth. The stories were hot & sexy but they were sweet and romantic too! I laughed, I cried and even worried about these characters.
The writing style is conscience and the characters all have big thought out personalities and it all works together!!
I picked up this book through ku but Have to buy the book KNOW..it was just that good! Can't wait I discover more from Ms Cole. One-click the one, I guarantee you won't be disappointed!!
Three Individual stories and yet all a part of a series. Each book can be read as a self-contained story but is better when read in order to know the characters. All very well written and very entertaining and enjoyable to read. Lots of action and adventure throughout the books.
I really enjoyed this series. Judging by the improvements from the wolves series to the dragon series, each book Ms. Cole writes gets better and better. I am hoping for even more depth of character and increased details about this shifter world she has created.
At first I was hesitant to read this set as I thought it can't be that good but oh was I wrong. This set has 4 short stories that are well worth the read,". Each is a little over 20 chapters and have romance and a little suspense with some action too. Well worth the read.
Absolutely loved this series. All three books were fun, sexy and full of suprises. I suggest reading Cole's Montana Wolves series first. BBW Dragons series starts off were the Montana Wolves ended. I hope Cole continues with Montana shifter series. I would love to know if the dragons finally have babies. Happy Reading!!
This collection required a marathon read. You could feel the love through the pages. It made me wish that I was one of the female characters even though the thought of finding one's mate so fast is just in our imagination.
I love shifter books! Sets are even better. These books have all that I look for in a great story. Adventure, danger, feelings and emotions that are all mixed together, then sorted out. I know I will read more of this author's books when I can.
A nice spin on alpha dragon romance and the shifter community was well thought out and amusing. The last story had an amazing ending that I never saw coming. All in all a worthy read that is sexy sweet and oh so alpha
I only read the first book in this series. I've never read a dragon and it was interesting but maybe a little to far for my tastes and there was no epilogue... So although it wasn't a bad read I did not complete the series. I was one and done!
Really enjoyed this series. A lot of laugh out loud moments. The author managed to keep it fresh and interesting. Which isn't an easy feat with the amount of paranormal books around these days.
