To Love A No Good Nigga

Rate this book
To the outside world, the Bird sisters have it all: money, power, a successful interior design firm, and beauty. However, on the inside, these three black socialites are a mess. They have allowed the dysfunctional and at times, emotionally abusive marriage of their parents to color their views on life and love.
Robin is determined to have a family at any cost and is willing to destroy anyone standing in her way. Raven has been married for ten long years and sees no way out of her drug dealing husband's tight grasp, until she begins to fall for his best friend. Sparrow is afraid of becoming consumed by men and love like her mother, so she leaves a trail of broken hearts in her wake and some don't take the rejection as well as others.
When all three sisters put their trust in the wrong men, they find themselves faced with deadly stalkers, scorned ex-husbands, and jealous wives that throw them headfirst into Chicago's underbelly. Help arrives from the most unlikely of sources, their baby brother, Blue-who has secrets of his own. With Blue and his associates by their side, Robin, Raven, and Sparrow are forced to reevaluate their life choices, commit unthinkable acts, and are pushed closer to the line of no return.

The Bird sisters

I was very intrigued with this book. I really liked the way that all three sisters were named after birds. I have never seen anything like that before. That was very creative on the authors part. I really enjoyed the romance throughout the book. I also enjoyed the different perspectives of things. It just goes to show you that no 2 people sees things the same. I will be reading part 2.

The story was good, I found it a little difficult to keep up as the names all had very similar meanings.

Bird Sisters

Damn, this was my first read by this author but it won't be my last. I was hooked from the very first chapter, Sparrow, Raven, and Robin kept me on the edge of my seat.
Sparrow, was the screw them and leave them type. She had a stable of men, and was not trying to fall in love. Yet she meets Isaiah he's even she wants in a man, but when she starts getting threatening message, and bad things start happening to her. Will the truth of her raunchy past be revealed to Isaiah?

Robin, is coo coo I can't believe the different things she went through to feel love, and wanted. To try and trap someone, then stalk, them when things didn't go her way was astonishing. That ending for Princeton left me speechless. Karma is truly a b.

Raven, even though she was very dumb feeding into Deans carp, I'm glad she took her and Pierre relationship to the next level. Yes, they got together on bad terms but they honestly cared for each other. Dean wasn't going to let that relationship go on without a fight, and did eventually in his power to break them. Yet with the help from Blue they got Dean good, and he realized be careful with you wish for because karma really is a b.
This is a must read, I'll recommend to anyone.
I can't wait until part two, Anita got me wondering.

Birds of a feather.....

This story revolves around the three Bird sisters, Raven, Robin, & Sparrow, who each find themselves in a bind with the man (or men) in their lives. Their baby brother, Blue, is summoned to fix his sisters by the very man who may be the indirect root to their issues. Raven is unhappily married, Robin is alone & desperate for a family, and Sparrow refuses to love any of the men in her "stable of hoes". Their mother, T Bird has put up with their father, Jay Bird's infidelity their whole lives.

Each chapter is written from a character's vantage point. I recommend this to readers who enjoy a book with a little bit of everything: Secrets, mental instability, infidelity, sex, & suspense. There were times when I found the story beginning to drag however towards the end (the very end), I was wrapped up in it and will read part 2 when it becomes available.

A Must Read!

This was my first time reading a book by this Author, but it is not my last. I loved this story. After reading the first couple pages, I was going to put it down. But that sister Sparrow made me wanted to keep reading. It was something about her that I wanted to know more. Phoenix Williams this was a really good book and I can't wait to read other books by you. Keep the page turners coming.

A little mistakes in grammar, but a very good read. It held and kept my attention. Blessing.

Because I liked her chosen style from start to finish. Her characters were well in keeping with today's young twenty to thirty life styles.
