Mark Waid (born March 21, 1962 in Hueytown, Alabama) is an American comic book writer. He is best known for his eight-year run as writer of the DC Comics' title The Flash, as well as his scripting of the limited series Kingdom Come and Superman: Birthright, and his work on Marvel Comics' Captain America.
The way Archie acts around Veronica, this extremely frivolous side of his is just damn irritating. Makes me wanna punch him in the face. The only character that I like so far is Jughead. He is the only one with some sense in him and more. Betty gets fired up at last against Veronica and agrees to free Archie from her clutch. So next issue will be Betty Vs. Veronica and also the revealing of #Lipstickincident.
Okay...so Veronica is finally here & its her first day at the school.. She's all modern & extremely status conscious! She's very particular about her high standards & cannot really merge into her plain & simple surroundings. She finds people here of average standard or maybe below to her high profile class. Archie is going crazy after her already & helping her out on her 1st day but she is treating him not less than a mere servant & Jughead cannot accept this treatment for his friend. Jughead is shown a very wise person here. Loving his character a lot! The traces of love triangle can be seen, & Betty has beginning to sense the trouble coming up very soon.. Lets see.. what happens! I just don't like Veronica, as I don't want anyone to come in between Archie & Betty. While this disturbs me & the rest of the comic lovers, one thing is sure that I am loving the colorful illustrations a lot! <3 ^_^
Veronica "Ronnie" Lodge is in Riverdale now, and Archie Andrews has become her own personal lapdog, making her every wish his command. That is really sad, y'all. He is better than this.
Jughead alerted Betty, but Betty played it cool most the time. But, finally, Ronnie crossed the line. So, soon, it will be no more Miss Nice Betty.
Also, can't wait to find out what the #LipstickIncident actually is.
She and Jughead are never going to be buds - I think Jughead sees too much of who he could have been in her behavior.
Archie becomes her pack mule almost immediately, due to a combination of "horndoggedness" and the implication of blackmail. This is just another new dimension added to the relationship thanks to the reboot!
I wish they weren't making Betty & Veronica JUST rivals. One of my favourite parts of the old series was that they were best friends, but also rivals. It was so weird, but it kind of worked.
Still love Jughead to bits. So far this series he has had the best lines!

Veronica is TERRIBLE and Archie Needs An Intervention!
To quote Jug in this issue: "Is there some reason you've decided to let this diva put a leash around your neck? I mean, other than your natural horndoggedness?" I can safely say I absolutely hate Veronica and Betty isn't being a particularly good friend. I'm not a fan of the obnoxious mean girl trope or the way Veronica is treating Archie like a slave, especially since Archie is acting like he's "under her spell" and disliking how he's treated one second then bowing to her every whim the next. It leaves a foul taste in my mouth.
The only reason I didn't hate this issue was Jug. He served as a voice for my thoughts while he constantly criticized Veronica and showed disdain for Archie's obsession with her. Somebody save Archie from this disgusting diva!
Ronnie and Betty WILL warm to each other right?! Cause they've always had some sort of relationship so it would be a loss to lose that chemistry. Veronica's character is very OTT at the moment. Some parts gave me major discomfort to read. I'm liking the remaining characters so far though. I wonder what went down with this #LipstickIncident..
5 Stars! ★★★★★ Veronica’s first day in school is epic. She went from parading around with her nose in the air like a queen to humiliating herself in front of the whole cafeteria. I’m surprised that this is her character personality in this series, because in two other spin-off series she seemed nicer and more down to earth.
So, Veronica Lodge makes her first appearance... And she's a reality tv star!!!! And Archiekins is falling over himself getting stuff done for just like the good ol' days.
Madam, may I help you. Archie's subservient act is downright annoying right off the bat. Veronica ain't that pretty. ALso Kardasian Klone is clueless, even get's his name wrong. Betty helped her out for a bit. Betty was Betty for a second.' A nice build up.
Veronica has arrived. And for the first time I am asking myself, what is the super rich chick doing at a public school? Love the nostalgia comics a at the end. Read and enjoy!
Love the characters and the storyline is interesting, but the issue I have is length. Each book is very very short, wished it was a much longer read like other comics.
THIS SERIES IS ACTUALLY SO ADORABLE I'M SCREAMING. I wish I'd gotten my hands on it earlier. 5/5 for tumultuous teen drama and frickin' cute friendship origin stories.
