This book is for 4-5 year old kids. As a non-Japanese reader, I didn't find it so easy for two main reasons. One is the frequent use of onomatopoeia which is one of my weak points. The other is the references to Japanese folk of which I am unfamiliar. There were a couple of non-Japanese references, too. It is very short and took a few minutes to read. My wife doesn't really get it either. Nice artwork.
