WHAT COULD THE KING WANT WITH AN UNKEMPT URCHIN? Even one as sensuous as a fairy queen? Wolfram Colston could not fathom the royal command to bring Kathryn Somers to Court. A hoydenish sprite, she was nothing like the noble ladies of London—yet everything like the woman of his dreams!
No matter what was whispered about her heritage, Kit Somers refused to go off with Sir Colston, a lone wolf of a knight pledged to Henry V, for how would her betrothed ever find her? And what would be her fate if she road away in the arms of such a brooding, darkly handsome man?
As a nice, sane break from the drama and fast pace of working as a registered nurse in an intensive care unit, Margo Maguire returned to college to study history, and fell in love. Writing about the historical characters she encountered in her classes was a good way to unwind from a crazy day in the unit. She soon started creating her own fictional characters and putting them into historical settings.
Margo is the author of twenty historical romance novels. Her books have been published in numerous languages, and have even come out in Japan as manga—animated books. She is the mother of three grown children and lives with her scientist husband in southern Michigan.
Ok, I was surprised by this book. Lately it has been hit or miss with the Harlequin books. This book was a good quick read. As usual there was murder, suspense, and action with some steamy live scenes. Both main characters, Kit and Wolf are strong characters that carried the plot from beginning to end in the book. Having two villains in the book, I thought was a good twist. My fellow readers this would be a good book to read over the holidays vacation. Happy reading.
First book I've read by this author, and really enjoyed from beginning to end, Wolf and Kits journey was written very well, the secondary people added a lot to their story,! Book was easy to read and had interesting plot, very interesting love story, would recommend anyone who enjoys a wonderful historical book to read this book, will be reading other books by this author!
I enjoyed this book. It kept my interest from beginning to end. I wasn't tempted to read ahead because the story moved along and wasn't constantly repeating itself. I would read it again somewhere down the road.
