Heightened Perceptions

Rate this book
The paintings in Heightened Perceptions, chosen by juror John Seed, dance across many familiar "isms," from Photorealism on down the line towards abstraction, defying stylistic categorization. This curated issue of "Poets and Artists" contains works by fifty painters, all of whom take their subject matter into the realms of imaginative perception. The images are arranged thematically, starting with a section titled The City in honor of Jim Doolin. Four other themed sections-Human Presence, Interiors and Objects, Towards Abstraction and Into the Landscape-follow. The artists are: 1. Amnon David Ar 2. Benjamin Björklund 3. Rebecca Campbell 4.
