From USA Today bestselling author Camilla Chafer...

When private investigator, Lexi Graves, quit her job, she never thought working freelance would be so hard. Struggling to make a name for herself as a solo investigator, she’s intrigued when a wealthy, new client claims she’s being stalked and chooses Lexi as her last hope for help.
Without any evidence, the police don’t believe Juliet Hart is being victimized, and her boyfriend and best friend are also both skeptical. Yet, Juliet is convinced she is being watched and someone is playing tricks on her. Is she simply paranoid, or is there something more sinister at play?
Initially, the case appears easy: tail the client and find out if someone else is watching her too. Yet before Lexi can make serious headway, her client is arrested for a crime she claims she didn’t commit. Now Lexi’s case collides with her boyfriend’s, her ex-boss, Solomon, putting them on opposite teams.
The more evidence Lexi finds, the more convinced she becomes that her client’s stalker is not only very real, but has nefarious motives. Way in over her head, Lexi urgently needs to find out why her client is being stalked, and by whom, before it costs Juliet not only her freedom, but everything she values and holds dear.

Very predictable. I knew who did it the first time the villain was introduced. Disappointed in that. Still enjoy the characters though and the satisfactory endings. And Solomon. :-)

Exciting Story

One question: How long do I have to wait for the next book? This was such an exciting story that I am anxiously awaiting the next! I absolutely adore Lexi and her family, along with Solomon, Maddox and her best friend, Lily. Camilla Chafer is a fascinating author who keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. In this book she is hired by a woman who feels she is being stalked, but the police don't believe her. This book kept me entertained right through to the unexpected ending!

This was by far the worst in the series for me. Why? It was completely obvious who the villain was very early in the book. In fact, I was thoroughly annoyed that Lexie didn't even have that person cross her mind when at the end of chapter 5, it was practically revealed. I guessed something else about that person later, but did Lexi ever ask? No. In fact, Solomon never gave the person a thought either. At best it was very sloppy investigative work.It was obvious from the very beginning, and yet it was 62% through the book before Lexi got any clue at all. And then she threw it our almost immediately, not wondering for even a second if the person had played her. Moreover, Solomon's team failed to do some basic surveillance tasks, and not one of these experienced investigators considered asking important questions that were immediately obvious to the reader.
I like this series, but this was very poorly written; it made all the PIs look incompetent.

Yes yes Yes Must Read

Oh first off thank you for the ending I loved it. I won’t spoil anyone but it has been my wish for the last couple of books. I love Lily, Lexi’s side kick and best friend/sister-in-law. This book was just as good if not better then the previous. I suspected Penelope but it might have been because I was stumped and flipped to read a tiny bit of a later chapter before returning to the beginning I was in, it was something I haven’t done in a long time. I was more worried about Lily and Lexi than the case, me bad. But I enjoyed the story and the adventure that was written from beginning to end.

All I can say that I haven't said before if you love Stephanie plum series by evanovich . You will love the lexie graves series but with a little different twist to the series you need to read the series in order as I said before to understand the dynamic relationship she has with her boss, her ex cop boyfriend, her best friend, lili, and her whole family. The series keep you entertain, and has humour in it . This series involved investigating a stalker whom her client saids no one believes her.

Lexi Graves starts as a freelance P.I. A wealthy client Juliet Hart engages her to find a stalker. But her boyfriend & friends think Juliet is being paranoid. Then she's arrested for a crime she didn't commit & Lexi, Solomon & their crew along with Maddox try to unravel a weird, puzzling case.

Figured out who done it right away. Frustrating to have to read most of the book while yelling at my Kindle - it was so obvious. Did absolutely love the ending!

Fun read

A solid 3.5. Another good installment of the crime series. Less exciting and more predictable than the previous but still enjoyable.

Green

Very few people can pull off the color green. No one, looks good with the green eyes of jealousy. It kind of has that green mucus vibe and that is just gross. Lexi has to wade through a lot of data to find the green eyed monster stalking her client Juliet. Should she move in with Solomon?

This fell flat. You are going to know by chapter 2 who the prime suspect is. Lexi finally cottons on in chapter 14, and the red herring so so blatantly not an alternative solution, it sort of makes finishing the book a chore. Also, I didn't laugh out loud even once. I'm hoping book 9 gets back on track.

What do you do when your boyfriend/ ex boss and you have a case that collide? You collaborate in every possible way, of course! Now that Lexi is working for herself, she has more quality time with Solomon rather than talking cases all the time but when a young executive woman walks into Lexi's office (Located in the back of Lily's bar) she informs Lexi that she is being stalked. While the stalking occurences are strange, Lexi believes he and takes her case. Little does she know but her case is about to collide big time with the case Solomon is working.

Solomon is working for a big investment firm who believes someone is stealing from them. All the evidence points to none other than Lexi's client, Amelia. Yet, something isn't quite right. As Lexi and Solomon begin working together and comparing notes, they believe Amelia is being set up.

Meanwhile, Lexi's mother's house has plumbing problems and she is being asked to host the next family dinner. Lily is very pregnant but always available to do surveillance as well as Lexi's Mom and dad. Solomon asks Lexi to move in with him but she is afraid she is not his equal. The question is what in the world will she do?

"Trigger Snappy" is another great installment. The only reason I didn't give it five star is because there just wasn't enough Solomon and Lexi in this edition and it felt a little like their relationship faded into the background. Hopefully, book 9 will correct this.

Always funny!

This series always cracks me up and keeps me guessing. Lexi tends to get into the biggest messes, and Lily totally amuses me. Solomon also has a flat but fun sense of humor. I really enjoyed this particular story because Lexi is finally maturing and figuring out what she wants. Solomon wants a stronger commitment, but does Lexi? Can she consider going back to work for Solomon and still have her independence? There are so many questions for her to consider, but no time to figure out the answers since she is tied up with a big stalker case with no good leads. The kicker is that Solomon is working the opposite side of the same case. Who will end up being right?

I have to say that the ending of this book was just perfect and has me chomping at the bit to see what will happen next.

The best of a series I love. Lexi's newest case has her rethinking working on her own as a private investigator. The case she has taken on is so complex that she is taking the victim's word that she is being stalked; no one else believes it. Calling on all her resources, even her dad, Lexi is determined to prove that Juliet has a stalker who is so subtle and intelligent that even Juliet doubts her sanity some times. It turns out that she is not the only one interested in the case even though she is the only one who is trying to help Juliet; Solomon has been hired to determine is Juliet has violated laws covering illegal trading. My heart went out to Juliet and her fiancee because the situation seemed so impossible but I had faith that Lexi would find a way to get to the bottom of the problem.

This book is good, when i started it i was sucked back into Lexi and co.
Lily is really funny, i felt some of the dynamic is missing with Solomon, 'a spark' although he's perfect for her and i love him, the author doesn't really delve too much into their romance.
I had an issue with a few things in the plot...
Why didn't the police find the clothes in the alley on their search, even if they needed to return in daylight, as a gun was missing i thought the search would have been very thorough.
Also what happened to the background search on the fiance? if Lucas is such a wizz he would have discovered when he did this who the ex was when he researched the fiance
Also was the loose wire in the alarm an accident and how did the 'perp'
remove the bulbs from the outside lights at the back of the house.

That said i enjoyed the book, taking it for what it is.

While still a fun read, it wasn't as clever as usual, and I picked out the perpetrator early. It was so obvious, I struggled with how Lexi didn't pick up on it earlier. The other problem I had was slight blip in terms of the book/story itself, but is big in terms of the stance it implies the author supports. In the book, one of the children comes down with the chickenpox, and it is mentioned that the parents want another child to catch it from the infected child because it will be more convenient for them both to have it at the same time. This is anti-vaxx nonsense: there's a vaccine for chickenpox, and neither child had to have the disease much less be deliberately exposed. The event wasn't even necessary for the plot. So apparently this author is anti-vaxx, which means I'm done reading the series. While it's disappointing, I won't support this antiscience idiocy.

The Girls Are Back!!

Lexi is a freelance P.I. & Lily is her sister-on-law, best friend, bar owner & 6 mos. pregnant. Both ladies are gutsy, determined, & have a wicked sense of humor. This time Lexi becomes involved with a woman who appears to be gaslighted & unfortunately Lexi is the only one who believes her client is not crazy or guilty of all she's accused of. Lexi's boyfriend & ex boss, Solomon, just happens to be on the opposing side's team. Lexi sets out to prove her client is innocent with Lily's help. Ex boyfriend FBI Agent Maddox, Lexi's parents, & all her cop brothers put in an appearance to add to the plot.

This series is fast paced & full of surprises. I found it impossible to put down. Eagerly awaiting the next installment, book #9, A Few Good Women!

Hi
I am writing about the series as a whole. I don't understand the double stand and !exi has for Maddox and soloman . Maddox does nothing wrong and she treats him like crap,Soliman is dishonest and deceitful with her and she loves him. All that tells me is she is stupid and has no morals or integrity. Solomnan !ears her around by the nose and she is OK with that and women who have read this like it. I do t get it. Maddox was nothing but honest with her and she consent like honesty ? While she has a smart character in the mystery's she comes across as a bimbo in the romance area. I have to give up this series because this doesn't make any sense and the heroine is now a tramp.

It's called Gaslighting someone

They just keep getting better! Lexi is running her own PI business out of an office at the back of Lily's bar (very film noir!) when she is asked to investigate what is really going on in a woman's life. Does she have a stalker, or is she really losing her mind? Before Lexi has barely started looking into things her client is arrested for insider trading and at the police station she runs into her boyfriend, Solomon, who is working for the company. Can they join forces again to find out the truth? Always laughs along the way with Lexi's friends and family mixing in.

What a ride

Lexington has her first case flying solo and at first you worry along with her that she is out of her depth. Her client has a stalker, but no one believes. The stalker moves things around and plays some harsh mental games. Solomon then gets pulled in on the other side of the case and they end up working toward the same goal. The interaction between Lexie and her family is always hysterical, but the diamond in this book is the relationship of Lexie and Solomon. Highly recommend.

2 1/2 stars

It was obvious early on who was gaslighting and sabotaging Juliet, so it was frustrating to read about Lexi and crew floundering about for so long, easily misled away from the perpetrator. Chafer's frequent misuse of the subjunctive mood (were vs. was) and occasional misuse of whom became a distracting annoyance as well. On the positive side, there was some good relationship advancement in this book which made it worthwhile to finish. It was not enough, though, to really make me look forward to the next book.

Another great book in the Lexi Graves series. Lexi is working on her own now and it's not everything she hoped for. In walks Juliet, a woman who thinks she's being stalked even though friends and family just think she's under too much stress. Lexi takes the case, believing her story. As she gets going, she finds that her new case is linked with Solomon's new case. So begins all the same fun and drama of a Lexi Graves story. I love the characters and was extremely happy with the ending. Can't wait for the next book.

Lexi Graves has left her job as a PI at her boyfriend's agency and is striking out on her own. Her first major case involves a woman who beliebes that she is being stalked but doesn't have any real proof. After learning that her client is also the target of Solomon's, her boyfriend, current case they team up to figure out what is going on.

I love this series and cannot wait for new books to be released. A mixture of romance and suspense, the Lexi Graves series offers readers everything they could ask for.

Sadly it was very predictable. I figured out who did it and why they were doing it very early on, with no second guesses or at least questioning what the motive might be. But still a cute story over all. I really like Lexi and look forward to the next book. I wish we saw more Maddox, though. I'm still not over him! I've never trusted Solomon and Maddox is my choice for Lexi. But that ship has sailed, apparently, so perhaps we'll get a Maddox series now that his character is taking off for foreign lands on a secret mission.

I love the Lexi Graves books and look forward to the next. Although I liked the case Lexi (and Solomon and the whole gang) worked, the baddie was easily recognizable.
It was great reading about all the well loved characters and the ending was perfect. After the last I was a bit dissatisfied in the relationship between Lexi and Solomon but I am totally on board again.

Nicely done and written in a pleasant way. Yes, I enjoyed this one!

Lexi is better than ever!

I love this series and couldn't put this book down! Lexi is on her own in the PI world now and has her first case trying to prove someone is stalking her client. Her boyfriend is also investigating only to prove that Lexi's client is guilty of quite a bit! Lexi gets into her usual scrapes almost with Lily and she also has some questions of Solomon's to answer!
