I ran across a book review in Romantic Times for this ebook. It is every older woman's dream. Imagine being
a 41 yr old single mom and meeting a 25 yr old hunk who is crazy for you. Win, win situation.

Quick read
The story flowed real well I related to the characters. They could easily be my friends. The love scenes were sensuous not trashy.

I so loved this book every woman has to wonder what if? When they are getting older and another friends marriage bites the dust. Or the worst of all they lose their husband by their passing. My heart always breaks for them. Like Nicole my children had always been my life as they got older it had become harder the more they broke away.
But it’s natural and it’s a growing experience for both us and them. Yet, for Nicole to be sideswiped out of nowhere and be asked for a divorce she had no time to downshift and a lot of time to mourn the loss of her marriage due to the fact she had a son to raise. Something, Stephan seemed to take into consideration. Or the well of his son’s mother when he came out of nowhere with the purge.
So, now five years later she was still not secure about who she was as a woman. She saw herself as only as a mom and a provider. At forty-one-years-old, she considered herself undesirable to any man out there her own any let alone any man.
So, when Wil Blanco happened to be at the Salsa nightclub that she and her best friends went to. It was her first night out in forever. Only because her son, six-year-old Josh, had gone to New York from there in L.A. with her. He went to stay five weeks with his director dad. Nicole agreed to one drink with her girlfriends. Well, three drinks later, Annie a realtor, Paulina an aesthetician, and Wanda a fulltime wife and mom were a hoot and her crazy ass friends.
When Wanda told Nicole that there was one hunk of a man that was checking her out and hadn’t taken his eyes off of her for several songs. All of the ladies turned their heads to check him out. She tells them, "Way to be sneaky girls." She tells them that’s no man that’s William my neighbor’s son. They were like he looks all men to us. She’s like he’s like twenty-something.
When the waitress comes over with a round of drinks from Wil. She has to go thank him. When her Son calls. She can’t hear so Wil takes her outside. Now earlier inside they had danced one salsa together and Wil can’t take his mind off how good she felt and how much he wants her. How much he always has.
When Nicole gets off the phone he backs her up against the wall and kisses the stuffing out of her. Things start to move fast which scares her so she leaves. The next day she sees him and they talk over the snake her son didn’t tell her he was house sitting. They start talking and there are sparks. He shows her how to care for the snake.
Little by little, he becomes a staple until he figures out another way in, a way she has to say yes. Instead of saying no, too. This was such a fun story. Love is always throwing wrenches into the easiest of situations. Nicole thought life should go on a set plan with no bumps. But Will was showing her life’s bumps could have some amazing results.

A friend and I are of a particular age and we sometimes joke about women our age being "cougars" when they admire a younger man. I thought this book was going to be one of humour. It was not particularly. I think it might have been meant to be a cozy read. Possibly not. Erotica might better describe it. If you like being a voyeur to telephone sex, lap dancing (same sex partners), Nevada massages (a state where anything goes), lechers, and casual sex, then by all means, have a read. There's some romance going on but it's definitely spoiled by the vulgarity and I learned way more than I needed to about 'Brazilian waxing'. So much is so much better when left to the imagination — people can take out of it what they want.
The cover might have been a tip-off although I've seen worse. I strictly stay away from covers with bare-chested men with rippling ribs but this didn't look too bad. The author (pseudonym?) dedicated this novel to her mother. I wouldn't want my mother to read it — period. Especially if I'd written it! I started it, I have a goal to read 75 books, and I'm a few behind, so I finished it and am reviewing it. Not for me.

•Age is just a number
While Nicholas Don is away during the summer will she give herself a chance to play? Or will she continue to just hole up inside and deep clean? Maybe both? Is Will what she's been missing or is it a huge mistake to even think about it?? He's soooo young. Age is just a number right? You'll have to read The Accidental Cougar see what happens between Will and Nicole.... And her friends of course!! I enjoyed reading my first steamy novel from Tiffany N York and look forward to seeing what else she has available. Due to sexual content this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older. ARC received from Netgalley for an honest voluntary review.

A fun quick read
I enjoyed the book but it's not one I feel I will reread and so I gave it a 3 star rating. It had moments of humor that had me laugh out loud and moments that made me enjoy the lead characters as a couple. But I felt the beginning of their romance was rushed. No slow burn. The Ladies Night part of the story was fun and reading familiar So Cal places was neat too. I would certainly right recommend this book to someone who was looking for an easy read with a little humor and romance.

No-spoiler funny moments: "He always took his work home ... Imagine if he were a mortician!", "The only one that has gone down there lately is my gynecologist".
Fun, relaxing read. Starts being funny right at the beginning and doesn't stop until the the last few chapters. I thought the end was a bit abrupt and missing something - not sure what 1 star off).
The friends are all great supporters of each other, the dialogues engaging, and the food smelling good.
Not too much drama and/or easily overcome. All in all, good read.

Technically he's her neighbor's son and not actually a best friend's brother, but it's part of her reasoning that she can't go after him, and it was the closest shelf I had for that.
I don't remember at what percentage I DNFd, but it wasn't too far past the end of the sample. The story was okay, but the writing itself needed a little work. I mean, I was drawn in enough to borrow it, I just didn't feel compelled to read the whole thing. Maybe eventually.

Every woman deserves that moment in her life where she feels treasured and cherished. There is no rule book that says the person cherishing you has to be your age, nor does it state that if you are a mom, your love life must be non-existent. For Nicole, she plays by those non-existent rules and lives a rather boring life using her son as an excuse not to live out her fantasies. A divorced mother with a teenage boy, Nicole often uses the excuse that she must tend to her son’s needs and rarely ventures out for her own needs. When her son is invited to visit his father to work on a movie set in New York, she finds herself with 6 weeks of no excuses and takes her friends up on their offer for a girls’ night out. As she watches the dancers and enjoys the company of her friends, Nicole is surprised when a handsome man from the bar sends over a drink.
Curious about the gentleman vying for her attention, Nicole is surprised to see it is her neighbor’s son Will, a hottie that she sees often but rarely speaks to. In his mid-twenties, she knows he is much younger than her forty-one years and can’t possibly be interested in a woman of her age. Will proves her wrong when he asks Nicole to join him for a dance and shows her just how skilled a younger man can be. After five and a half years without sex, Nicole was definitely heating up, but a cold splash of water in the form of a phone call from her son, snapped her back to reality. Leaving Nicole with a kiss, Will left an impression on her that she would soon not forget.
Determined to get to know Nicole better Will could not let his efforts end at the club. Venturing to her home the next day to invite her out, he is quickly turned down only to find himself back at her home to rescue her from her son’s foster pet. After a quick outing to purchase snake food, and some time getting to know one another, Will learns that Nicole is an ad executive and quickly hatches a plan to earn more time with the woman of his desires. When Nicole shows up to work at McGraw Advertising, her boss Eric advises the team that they have a new potential client and that they must be at their best to win the new account. Ready to pitch for Phoenix Enterprises, an urban clothing company, Nicole is surprised to find that her new client is none other than William “Will” Blanco, and he wants plenty of quality time with the woman responsible for his account, even if it becomes a 24/7 job. With a body like his, and his “don’t take no for an answer” attitude, how is Nicole going to be able to resist the temptations Will offers?
This was such a fun story to read that I could not put it down. Nicole is like so many women that find themselves getting older but make excuses as to why they can’t still enjoy life. Just because we have children, it does not mean our sex drives shrivel up and go into hiding. For Nicole, it takes her friends Annie, Wanda, and Paulina to lure her out of her shell and convince her to let loose. When Will makes his approach, they give that gentle push for Nicole to have some fun and once she opens that door, it becomes very difficult to close it. Will brings Nicole into his world and shows her that she is beautiful and sexy regardless of her age.
Unfortunately, Nicole still has a difficult time seeing past the age difference and it often becomes a barrier between the two. As their relationship builds and the pressures of the advertising campaign build as well, Nicole finds it challenging to balance the two. When trust gets in the way of what could be true love, things fall apart and it is up to Nicole to be honest with herself, to stop making excuses, and let love in. While the story does move rather quickly, the characters are detailed and I found that Nicole’s friends remind me of many of my own: those girlfriends that look out for you, but still want to have fun. I only wish the ending wasn’t so abrupt. It seems that just as things begin to reconcile, the story comes to a complete halt. That being said, it is still a wonderful lesson in love. Age is just a number, love has no rules, it cannot be restricted by others, we just need to remember succumb to it and stop making excuses.

My Review:
This book was good. It's been six years since Nicole's divorce. Six years since she's had any sort of man besides her son in her life. Honestly, she hasn't even been interested. Her divorce was a surprise to her and left her with scars. So it's as surprising to her as it is to anyone when someone piques her interest. Even more surprising is that he's a guy who's sixteen years younger than her. To her code of ethics, that just isn't acceptable.
Wil missed that memo though and he isn't a guy to give up when he sees something he wants. He's young, but already is extremely successful, having started his own business from scratch and built it into an empire. He's not a guy that takes "no" for an answer and he wants Nicole. I liked him. He, flat out, is just a great guy who would be an amazing catch, no matter what his age. He's sweet and romantic. He hears Nicole's concerns, but knows that if they can just spend some time together that he can convince her to come around to his way of thinking.
There were lots of moments in this book that I found felt really true. As a forty-something female, I could relate to a lot of Nicole's issues. For the last six years, she has focused her life around her son, Josh. For the first time in her life, he's not there to distract her and to give her a focus. Suddenly she has to find out who she is again and where her interests lie. She's lost that over the last few years. So while this is a romantic story, there is also a great lesson about a woman finding importance in herself again. I really liked it. I really liked the characters, especially Nicole and Wil. I loved Nicole's circle of friends....definitely a group of characters and their antics, and side romantic stories kept me giggling. Overall this was just a great read. An unusual romance, but one that I truly enjoyed.

I cannot begin to express how glad I am to have taken part in The Accidental Cougar book tour. The last few days have been filled with mostly non-fiction reads so when I started this one I was grateful for the change and it was wonderful to find a new author to read as well.
The Accidental Cougar was a well written romance novel that focuses on 41 year old Nicole and Wil her 25 year old love interest whilst her teenage son is away from home for six weeks one summer. Right off the bat I liked Nicole, I wasn't expecting to connect with her character as much as I did but I really liked her. I thought she was smart funny and a lot stronger than even she seemed to think she was. I loved how much she cared for her son and how she always put others before herself.
I also really liked Wil, despite the fact that he's 16 years younger than Nicole he sees how beautiful she is and sees how worthy she is of love and devotion. I was also surprised by how much I liked Wil. He could be very sweet and I found that completely endearing.
The overall plot was a good one. I'm a strong believer in the fact that an older woman is worthy of love and affection and if she chooses to find that in a younger man then who cares? This was a great romance novel with extremely likable characters, and of course just the right amount of drama. This book was the perfect escape for me when I read it and I loved the fact that the author made her characters so real.
I highly recommend The Accidental Cougar to everyone looking for their next great romance read. If you like contemporary romance novels than I suggest you head on over to your favourite e-book seller and pick a copy up! I can't wait to read more by Tiffany N. York and hope she continues writing.

I wanted to have a break from YA books so when I saw this Contemporary book, I didn’t hesitate to request it for review. What made me want to read it is the plot itself. I’ve known people who had relationships with 10-20 years age gap and I wanted to know how it will be translated in the book.
The Accidental Cougar is a fast-paced, fun and steamy read. I liked how it started. It instantly caught my attention which made me turn each page with ease.
The main character, Nicole Woods is a 41-year-old single mom who just focuses in her son, work and no fun. She came out from a divorce years ago so it’s understandable she’s afraid to find love and trust men again. She’s beautiful in and out, genuinely nice and loves her son and friends unconditionally.
Then here comes Wil, a gorgeous and successful 25-year-old guy who wishes to be a part of Nicole’s life even if it’s just a summer fling. It’s obvious that he’s attracted to her but it seems Nicole won’t make it easy for him. I really love his personality! He’s real; he knows what he wants and will do anything to have it. He’s hardworking and a very passionate guy that’s why he’s so successful at such a young age.
Both of these characters are very likeable. I liked how the main and the supporting characters blend together- Nicole’s friends and workmates, then Wil’s family. For the first part, I was just a bit confused as to who is who because there were a bunch of characters. It took time for me to be familiar with them.
As expected, the book contains some sweet, steamy scenes. But the steamy meter is not on full blast. I can’t explain why, but it needs more!
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It touches not just about romance and love but also about family and friendship. It is highly recommended to those who love Contemporary and Romance Genres.

The main character, Nicole Woods is a 41-year-old single mom who just focuses in her son, work and no fun. She came out from a divorce years ago so it’s understandable she’s afraid to find love and trust men again. She’s beautiful in and out, genuinely nice and loves her son and friends unconditionally.
Then here comes Wil, a gorgeous and successful 25-year-old guy who wishes to be a part of Nicole’s life even if it’s just a summer fling. It’s obvious that he’s attracted to her but it seems Nicole won’t make it easy for him. I really love his personality! He’s real; he knows what he wants and will do anything to have it. He’s hardworking and a very passionate guy that’s why he’s so successful at such a young age.
Both of these characters are very likeable. I liked how the main and the supporting characters blend together- Nicole’s friends and workmates, then Wil’s family. For the first part, I was just a bit confused as to who is who because there were a bunch of characters. It took time for me to be familiar with them.
As expected, the book contains some sweet, steamy scenes. But the steamy meter is not on full blast. I can’t explain why, but it needs more!
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It touches not just about romance and love but also about family and friendship. It is highly recommended to those who love Contemporary and Romance Genres.

I’ll just say right away, I really enjoyed this story. I’m a total sucker for a good romance and well developed characters so The Accidental Cougar ticked all the boxes. Nicole is such a typical divorced mom. Once she is alone, her son becomes her world. How could she possibly expect to be in a relationship when she has her child to consider? And at 41, the chance of finding love again seemed daunting.
Enter sexy, confident, and YOUNG Wil Blanco. He has a thing for older women and he sets his eyes on Nicole. At first she resists, thinking there is no way a gorgeous young man could be attracted to her aging, saggy body. But eventually, Nicole gives into temptation and enters into a whirlwind summer affair with Wil while her son is away visiting his father.
Of course, just as their relationship really heats up and it appears that maybe, just maybe, it could be more than a little fling, Nicole and Wil have a misunderstanding that threatens to ruin their relationship forever. I won’t give away the details but you know it ends up happily ever after…it IS a romance after all :)
I really loved how real Nicole and Wil were. They had their hang ups and secrets, but they let themselves just enjoy each other and fell into love. An added bonus were the side characters: Nicole’s close girlfriends, her boss, and Wil’s family. They all added that depth and fun to this story with their quirky characteristics.

The premise sounded interesting and completely different than the very worn out much older man with a barely legal girl. There were things about this story that were great but there wasn't enough of that for me to love it. Mostly because of Nicole's behavior, particularly at the end and even considering doing that for her "friend". Sorry but hell to the no, not to mention some friend to even put you in that situation. But then again her "friends" were ridiculous and quite frankly beyond annoying for the most part. Then the end was just a little on the abrupt side for me after all that went at the end. Honestly Wil, Eric, and Pez were the best parts of this story.

2.5 stars. I love older heroine/younger hero books but his one was, meah...too much time was spent on her friends. I really didn t care ab her family drama or her friends. When I finished I realized I didn t get enough time with Wil and he was the best thing ab the book. I would have loved to know more ab him, his dad, how he came to be so succesful etc. in stead we got endless women gossip and boring bs from the heroine. I felt she didn t do enough grovel after the way she treated him. He forgave her too quickly

This is my first romance novel and I was totally engrossed in it. It was a fun read and the characters were well developed and entertaining.

Being "of a certain age" I thoroughly enjoyed the fantasy of a wealthy, hot 25-year old falling for the 40+ divorced, single mother. It was a fun, sexy read.

This was a decent read, not bad but nothing outstanding about it. I didn't really find the relationship between the hero and heroine to be believable.

WOW!
The title caught my attention. I felt like one the girls reading this. At times I felt like I was Nicole. I connected with the characters and enjoyed the ride. I am looking forward to reading more of Tiffany N. York's writings. Kudos, job well done.
