The moment I saw her I knew I was in trouble. I just didn’t care. Once I knock down her walls and get a taste. I know she’s it. I’ll have her and no one will get in my way----not even my club. She’ trying to run. That won’t happen. I’ll use whatever I can just to keep her, even if it is my d**k. I’m an expert in making women give me what I want. Dani just doesn’t realize who she’s dealing with yet. She will. I’ve claimed her… She’s mine.
Dani
I’m running. I’m have secrets that will kill me someday. I need to stay ahead of them. I run straight into his arms. Zander’s trouble. I know, because he sets my body on fire. One taste of him and I keep going back, even when I shouldn’t. All I need is his body, his touch and his deliciously dirty mouth. He’s not mine to claim. One more taste and I’ll leave. Before my past finds me…
I'm just a simple small town country girl, haunted by Alpha Men who talk in my head 24 hours a day.
I knew I wanted to write when it became clear I couldn't be happy with just viewing other people's stories. I always wanted to rewrite them.
Like why did Jack have to die? Why couldn't Rose move her butt over? Because that was a huge piece of wood she was on, people.
Happy Endings should be fought for, but they should always happen. Mine might take some curves and twists, but they eventually get there.
Having published over fifty stories, it always feels surreal that this is my life. Hitting USA Today had me crying for days, but nothing is more special than hearing from readers that they loved one of my books.
Just as I thought... these books get better and better with each one.
This is definitely my favorite and this is also my nr. 1 couple. Dani was one of the strongest heroines I have ever read about and Crusher was the best kind of badass book boyfriend.
I still really dislike Nicole and Dragon. They don't deserve it to be called friends... assholes. Only think of themselves and each other but they don't give a rat's ass about their so-called friends...
This story was heartbreaking at times but I read it in one go and I am really curious about the spin-offs. I think I might skip Bull's story... since I don't really like him either. We shall see...
2.5-3 Very Conflicted Stars..... WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD, read with caution!
Ok, ok, I clearly know that I am in the minority here BUT, OMG.....I was left so damn conflicted once I finished!!
OK, so for Crusher...he was definitely a 5 Star Book Boyfriend ALL THE WAY, hands down that guy was sexy, dirty, kinky as hell and boy oh boy did I love reading about his sexcapades:) Normally, I don't like or want to read about graphic sex scenes with other women but oh my god....HOT freaking stuff and I have to say I loved it as twisted as that sounds. He was pretty near perfect in my eyes!!!!!!
Now on to Dani, ughhhhh, what to say here.... Here goes, so the start of Dani's story is absolutely horrific in every sense, this girl lived through some pretty traumatic events in her young life and my heart broke for her. Once she actually becomes "Dani", i just couldn't take her. She was annoying, she was so full of head games, she was stubborn, I just couldn't stand her... I was so shocked at how her character played out throughout the story and I mean till almost the end, I just couldn't connect or rather had no desire to connect with this girl. The way she treated Crusher and the way she, for me, stomped on or rather disrespected his feelings and their relationship, ya, just a big fat NO for me. I could barely tolerate it, the back n forth, it was way too over the top for me and quite frankly turned me off. I also hated and this has been done in other books but truly hate when a female lead goes through the worst at the start of the book, only for more horrific stuff to happen to her at the end of the book, I mean WTF.. didn't she already suffer enough, but no, ughhhhhh.....just NO and yet it had to go there again for this girl!!!!!!
The ending of their story was sweet but of course, thanks to Crusher...as usual I may add..... I couldn't take Dani much more and thank goodness by the end she smartened up FINALLY but for me I was so over the story by that point that it didn't matter or leave me feeling ecstatic as I normally would have.
I can't stress enough how much I loved Crusher and I wished that his story would have been played out so much better.... Dani for me personally ruined the story on so many levels that ya, I am left feeling very disappointed.. Crusher did deserve better for the most part.... Sorry, these are just my own personal feelings on this story. Will I continue reading this series going forward, yes, because I have truly loved it until this book. I say this all the time, an author that I love is bound to have a hiccup or two with me in her work and this book was it but it doesn't mean I will abandon her and her work. Heck no.... Sorry Jordan Marie that this book wasn't a hit with me but I still do admire your work and look forward to your next book:)
I'm actually giving this book a 2.5 rating but round it up to three and that's the reason why: I truly believed it wouldn't have annoyed me that much if I had read the three first parts. I asked if I could read this story without knowing anything about the series and I got 'yes' as an answer, but this is not a standalone!
I was looking forward to my first MC book, but I was disappointed, or rather f***ing annoyed. TIMEJUMPS. I have never read a story that had that many time jumps that literally tear the story apart. I'm certain if I had read the other books I wouldn't have cared that much, probably even grateful to not chew through everything again. However, I know that it still would have annoyed me terribly. There's no smooth story telling there's scenes packed after another like different colored Legos and that's why I barely did get any emotional connection to all of them.
And then our MC's who are both too stupid to live, no matter their background stories or where thy came from.
And then..."Because your lips might be saying no, but your body is saying something completely different"
That's the moment i know I didn't like Chrush and everything he did after that pretty much put additional nails onto the box I put him in. He's stupid, his brains literally are down under, he LIES to Dani repeatedly... did I say he's f***ing stupid?
I can't really blame for Dani's stupidity at the beginning, but after the time jump when she declares that she's better now, there's still no change. And that's the worst part: there is no character development whatsoever.
I really enjoyed the first third of the book - even the far too graphic start. But it pretty much went downhill from there.
***ARC RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW*** Get ready for one hell of a ride...... Bubblewrap your kindles, keep the tissues close at hand and be prepared not to sleep........
I'm so glad Jordan gave Dani and Crusher their own book and it is DEFINITELY my favourite from the series so far, it also deserves more than 5 stars. In this story we get to relive some of the major events of books 1 & 3. Book 2's events are mentioned slightly due to certain characters appearing but we always know where Dani is concerned then Nicole is there too somewhere. We knew Dani was running from her past when we first met her in Breaking Dragon (book 1 of the Savage Brothers MC series). We were also made aware in book 3 (Loving Nicole) of some of what Dani's ex Michael put her through. But, in this we find out ALL of the gory details and we find out exactly HOW evil he is ! Jordan's done an amazing job of writing this in such a way that you're able to visualise some of the scenarios that happen to Dani, and feel the emotions both her and Crusher go through due to it too. Dani's scars aren't just physical though they're emotional too, and again the way Jordan's written it you can understand WHY Dani is affected and scared of her past. Anyone who has disliked Dani in the previous books will DEFINITELY have their opinions changed of her when they see EXACTLY what her reasons for her actions are. Well done Jordan absolutely loved it !!
Recomendo toda a série! ---------------- I confess that it took me a while to like heroin, but gradually the reader will discover the fears and desires of her and she earns our sympathy. She goes through so much that a weaker person would be completely destroyed, but she gets up, shakes the dust and back to the fight. Our hero is very determined and knows what he wants from the beginning, but he has his moments of doubt. I recommend the entire series!
I've been a fan of Jordan Marie's since I read her debut novel, Breaking Dragon, and with each addition to this incredible series, I've become more engrossed in this MC's story and these characters. I've become more and more impressed with this author and her gift for storytelling.
This is Dani and Crusher's story. We met Dani, Nicole's troubled best friend, in Breaking Dragon, where a series of bad decisions on Dani's part put Nicole in danger and wound up getting her hurt. Dani wasn't that likable a character in BD. In fact, within Jordan Marie's fanbase, she was a controversial one - she was either loved or she was hated. This book also overlaps with the events in Loving Nicole but is told entirely from the perspective of Crusher and Dani.
"There are secrets in those beautiful brown eyes. Secrets that have broken her."
In this book we learn about Dani and her history, which is the driving force behind her bad behavior and poor decision-making. Hers is not a pretty story. This woman has suffered greatly, horrifically and terrifyingly at the hands of her ex. She sees herself as weak and pathetic, and reinvents herself into the "character" of Dani, the woman she wants to be. Crusher, or Zander as Dani calls him, sees right through her tough facade, seeing more of her pain than even her best friend does. Crusher has his own demons. His youth is littered with his "failures" as he refers to them, but were actually horrible tragedies that were way beyond his youthful control.
"Dani looks up and our eyes lock. Hers are haunted and I want to be the man that takes the ghosts away."
As their fragile relationship grows, Dani does the damnedest thing. She begins to trust Crusher. She begins to crave him and the safety she has only ever felt in his arms. He sees her, he sees the woman behind the attitude and the "Ice Queen" persona. He sees her pain, he sees her fear, and he also sees her heart. He may not fully understand what is behind the fear in her haunted eyes, but he will not let it deter him. So exercising a level of control he did not know he had, with extreme patience and very tentatively, Crusher works his way into Dani's life and heart. He knows what he wants, but being a relationship novice himself, he is unsure how to proceed. He sees their future within his grasp, though, and nothing and no one will stop him from claiming Dani as his.
"I need you Hellcat. I need you more than any man has ever needed a woman in his life."
As Dani begins to relax and let Crusher in, she opens up to him about her past gradually. With each piece of her history he learns, however, his rage builds. Being the alpha male biker that he is, there is no other option for him but to seek retaliation against the man who hurt his woman. But in doing so, he unwittingly puts everyone - Dani, Nicole, his brothers - in harms way. He did not fully understand the man with which he was dealing, and when Dani finds out what Crusher is up to, she does the only thing she can to protect those she loves: she runs.
"If he gets his hands on me again, I won't survive."
The events that unfold in this book are the flip side of the coin to what we saw in Loving Nicole. This book delves more deeply into what happened the day of Nicole and Dragon's wedding and the days that follow told from Crusher and Dani's perspective. Jordan did an amazing job capturing Dani's terror as well as her strength. She also fully fleshed out Crusher's behavior during this time, and you couldn't help but be consumed with his panic, rage and anger.
"If she dies, I won't mourn her. Hell no. I'll make sure I join her. It's just that fucking simple."
This book was positively gripping. Jordan Marie took her readers on one hell of a ride through the minefield of both Dani and Crusher's pasts. The bright spot was the development of their relationship. It was beautiful and something that neither had ever experienced before. In this book, we saw how Dani's decisions impacted not only herself, but also Nicole and the Savage Brothers MC. We also got a look back into Dani's history, and it's not pretty. There is a reason she is the way she is, and it's disturbing, upsetting and heartbreaking. Once you read her story, you'll be able to look past her tough girl shell and see her for what she is - a damaged, scared woman that is hell bent on protecting herself and those she loves.
"This is it, Hellcat. This is where we're supposed to be."
This was an incredible journey. Dani held so much pain, but it was her strength that surprised me the most. Jordan Marie continues to surpass my expectations with each book, always delivering an incredible story to her readers. She started this series very strongly, with an amazing debut, and incredibly each addition to the series has been better than the last. Richly developed, full of detail and emotion, this author's writing abilities leave the reader breathless, emotional and anxiously awaiting the next book. Without any hesitation or forethought, Jordan Marie is an auto buy author for me. Well done, Jordan, well done!

I'm starting to hate this part. I just read another amazing story. And I want so much to share. To tell you how this journey made me feel. But I never seems to find the right words.
Crusher or Dani? Of whom to speak first? Not to mention, there is another characters who got my attention.
Um...Dani, well a lot of readers said from the first book Breaking Dragon, that she is on the 'I hate you. So if you are gone, I will not care. Actually, I will dance.' list. For me, well, I didn't hate her. But that doesn't mean, that she didn't play with my nerves on some occasions. And though, I didn't hate her, I wasn't all excited waiting for her story. But still knew, that I can’t miss Crush and Danis journey.
And when I started to read... I was annoyed, I was pissed...I just wanted to fork someone. No. Not someone. I wanted to fork him. Michael Kavanagh. The man was pure evil. I don’t even can call him a human being. He was....I don't wanna to talk more about him. The more I speak of him the more pissed I am. Not to mention he don't deserve to be remembered.
I was also frustrated with Dani. Or as she was at that time, Melinda. And I know it's unfair to feel like this. It's wrong. I wasn't in her situation. I wasn't through her hell. Every person fights as long as he/she can. So, maybe fight left Melinda a long time ago? Maybe there wasn't to fight for? But isn’t the biggest instinct in human is to survive? No matter how? No matter what you have to do?
And maybe I was not so frustrated at her, then about the situation. You know when you are wishing, praying that something, someone would interfere. When what happening makes you feel so helpless.
And what's fallow after what I already thought was a nightmare...I just was ready to burst from so much rage. Well, I think I will stop here. Because if I think or talk more about what happened, I'm going to damage my smartphone. Just be warned. It's brutal. And this was not the end of the torment. May it was last of Melinda. But time come for Dani. Because he found her.
This book reveals so much more of Dani. One think I found out is, that Dani is...Fake. Melinda is gone, Dani appears. But not first, nor the second is the true woman. She doesn't know herself. She tries to be someone strong, loud and bitchy. But that's like I say is fake. It’s sad to watch how much Dani is struggling. Stuck in a place where she is lost and can't find a way out. Find herself. The real her.
But no matter how sorrowful I found her pain, I'm frustrated that she kept comparing at the beginning the sadist Michael with my precious perfect man, Dragon. Yes, Dragon is dangerous. Yes, he has this dark aura around him. But he isn’t anything and anywhere near that monster. Dragon is your dream come true. And yeah, here it come that thing, that partly I can understand why she's so confused. That after all hell Dani been through, she can't see the true. She can't seperate the two. She can't seperate 'sadistic dangerous' from 'protective dangerous'. But still, I didn't liked her look on Dragon.
Crusher...What can I say about him. I kinda love him. Sometimes he's pushing my buttons to much. Open his mouth, when he should shut it. And I wanna to kick him. But I still love him. You can’t help but love him the way he is with Dani. He doesn’t know her hell. But he sees there something haunting her. He makes sometimes mistakes. And thats ok. Because we are humans and we made mistakes. We learn from them.
And in all Crusher is slowly healing her. Letting Dani to find the real her. The woman that always was waiting to be free. It's really beautiful and fascinating to watch Crusher around her. She his whole world. She's his soul.
And when the time come when he have to fight with everything in him for his woman....Well, lets just say, he cut a piece of your heart and took it with him. Never to be seen again.
That was a journey. And I'm a little sad that it's over. But also glad, that Dani found her long deserved happiness. Well, Crusher, too. He too had his demons that needed to be shaken off. Happy that for each other they are a balm to their hearts and souls.
So originally in the book Loving Nicole (book3), I had stated that Michael needed to die slowly and painfully. I retract that statement, instead I would like to say he needs to be held captive and treated to the exact same treatment he does on others specifically Dani aka Melinda. Slowly overs months of mental and physical abuse then slowly so slowly killed. He is the epitome of evil, sick, twisted! That people like him in real life exists sickens me! In this book we find out everything Dani has had to go through and we now understand her so much better. My heart broke for her and my anger strengthening for the capture and punishment of michael! I am in awe of Dani and her strenth and compassion for her friends with everything she has indured! Crusher and Dani are the perfect couple and my heart soared that Dani found and let someone in after everything she went through. Dani deserves nothing but good times and a life of love, happiness, devotion and drama free! But of course living with a Savage MC man, drama free is impossible but at least she has friends, family love not of blood surrounding her. This is the 4th book and you definitely need to read in order as the stories and characters are a continuation of each other. ***warning*** there are definitely harsh, tragic situations Dani endured that can be triggers for some! Be warned there is dark, horrific events that take place in this book that may be to intense for some. Rape, physical abuse, mental abuse and torture. There is also growth, love, acceptance and learning to love and understanding oneself after such events. This was an amazingly good book although a difficult read at times. 4.5 stars
I was sent an arc of this for my honest and impartial review.
Holy freaking shitballs! Well I literally just finished the rollercoaster of a ride that is Claiming Crusher. Jordan Marie has gone and done it again. Every time she writes a book she just gets better and better.
Claiming Crusher actually runs alongside the first three books, meaning that they intertwine. Jordan has managed this flawlessly and with consistency throughout the entire book. Writing a book that coexists within three other books you would expect at least one or two accidental flaws. But NOPE. None. That to me proves what I have known since book one.
Jordan Marie is the BOSS when it comes to writing!!!
Ok now about the book or a certain authors head will get too big!!
I didn't exactly hate Dani like most people but she was pretty non existent to me. I didn't really care about her at all.
Until I read this story.
That poor poor woman, the things she had to endure at the hands of Michael!! I wanted to kill the bastard. What sort of man treats a woman like that?!
Crusher (Zander) is lovely, I especially like his name as my hubby is called Alexander. (I wonder if he would mind me calling him Zander?....)
The whole book is filled with drama and excitement and I loved it from the start to the finish. I cannot wait for more in the series and I don't want it to ever end. EVER!!! You hear me Jordan Marie???!!!
The thing I love about Jordan is she is a wonderful storyteller. When I read her books I feel like I am hanging with personal friends. We are both from Kentucky so I can relate with her characters fairly well and get sucked into where they are and what is going on around them not just becasue they take place in Kentucky but Jordan has the ability to tell/write a fantastic story. Storytelling can't be taught and she has that thing that just sparks and brings it to life.
Now the review :) Dani gah that girl is frustrating but so strong willed you have to root for her to get an HEA. I know a some readers don't like her and I really don't know why they don't but that's their prerogative any who Crusher sweet lawd have mercy that man is golden- like make a book boyfriend statue of him coated in gold cause he is all about his woman. I don't want to give spoilers in case someone hasn't read the rest of the series cause yeah that would ruin everything so go read the rest if you haven't yet so you can get down with the savage boys.
I have to start off by saying that I absolutely love this authors books.I am so glad that I came across her books as we can't get enough of them.I love both her MC Romance series.
I have to say that I love this particular MC series. This author made it so all the books are read as standalone titles but, act like a series. The stories are all about the Savage Brother MC members and their women.I recommend however reading them as them came out only because I think you get more out of the characters development this way but , reading out of order you still will be able to follow the series easily.I love reading books in series.I love following the characters from book to book.I know that the story focuses on two main characters but, all the other brothers and their girls made this story so much more exciting and fun to read.
When I started reading about these character's Dani was one of my favorites from Breaking Dragon.I was so glad she got her own story.I have to say that Crusher ended up being the perfect match for Dani's wounded soul.I am thinking that although I love all the stories in this series Dani's my favorite of them all.I was rooting from book one that this broken women would find love and happiness at some point in her treacherousness life.
I always pick one character that I love to rave about all the things I liked and loved about them.My pick this time around is Dani.Dani is the type of character that latched on to your heart strings once you start reading her story.Just as she did mine. I am amazed at how Dani survived and endured the treacherousness life she had before she came to the Savage Brother MC.She was an amazingly strong women (previously known as Melinda) to do what she did an not become just an emotional shell of a person. What happened to her did not totally destroy her just made her stronger.Dani's story was so mind blowing that with every detail we discovered about her the more the tears fell.
I found that she could be funny, sassy, playful when joking with the men at the club.I love how she teased a few of brothers who seemed to allow it .Making you laugh out loud at her antics and choice words. Not all the member's liked Dani and she constantly felt their distrust. Some of the brothers gave her a Nickname the Ice Queen.Anyone who made any attempt to get to know her new that name to be a false one.I admired her for controlling all her emotions and keeping them bottled up.It must have been a full time job for her because every word spoken you new she was living in hell.
Dani came off as a loud mouth, feisty hard a**bitch but,in reality I think that she wasn't any of those things.I think however she needed to become that person just to survive. As the story progresses you catch glimpses of the real Dani but, in a blink of and eye there gone .Making those moments more previous to us.I loved how she was fiercely loyal to those she loved and cared about.I loved her protective nature she had when dealing with the few individuals she let in like Nicole and Crusher (Zander to her ).
Crusher was the perfect man for her ,Zander as she calls him . Zander took Dani to task more than once and challenged her something she needed in her life to grow and heal. She needed a man who pushed her to make her feel something other than pain.
Favorite quotes
This is Dani speaking! My favorite quote showing her sense of humor and fierceness when first meeting Dragon.
"Hello there,Tall Dark and Do-Me-All over."
Can you just picture this tiny little thing looking up at this fierce looking bada** biker appraising him for head to toe saying this .I laughed out loud and couldn't stop laughing.
Crusher & Dragon discussion lead to another favorite quote.
"She's got trouble written all over her,"Dragon replies."Yeah but what a trip. Some things are with the trouble man,".
How could I not fall in love with Zander after saying that about Dani that she was worth loving .(sigh)Crusher is the type of man you should be very afraid of.One look in his direction and your brain flashes Danger Beware.Top that off and he has one heck of a sexual appetite that is known all to well throughout the club to share his women. It will take a special women to tame the beast.I personally think that Dani is up for the challenge .I know Dani is the one to make this fierce biker fall just like his other brothers. Zander will not be able to stop himself from loving this broken women as she has all the traits he has always wanted in a women .I loved how Zander/Crusher interacted with Dani with patience and kindness knowing that this was not really his style he was more hard edge.Being with Dani brings out his caring and softer side his protective instincts. With this being said it makes all their interactions more endearing and heart felt because its so out of character for Zander. Loved these moments (sigh)I liked Zander giving Dani a nickname ,he names her Hellcat which fits her to the tee. This nickname was more of and endearment that meant something and it was only for her. This making Dani feel special. When Zander spoke the nickname it made Dani feel things instead of keeping all her emotions locked up inside her.I loved seeing that side of her .Crusher was so hot in and out of bed that he made my heart speed up a bit with his dirty talk and dominate nature.I loved Zander's playful manner in bed .Wow ! Can you say fanning myself and smiling!
I loved following Zander and Hellcat's journey on falling in love.I also enjoyed seeing this couple heal as the story went along just by being together and loving each other with such a fierce passion. This story was a page turner that filled you with all kinds of emotions and feelings. There is so much going on throughout the story club drama, clan rivals wanting them dead creating danger for its members and their families. This story also dealt with abuse rape torture both physical and emotional. The plot dealt with love ,laughter, healing, pain with a bit of suspense making it even more of and enjoyable read.It helped me to connect with the characters I was reading about as you could not but help feel their pain.My heart ached for Dani.I shed more than a few tears when reading this story.I felt connected to them which I love and that with the added element of erotica and you had a super hot read.
Another keeper and a recommended read.We are giving this read 5 stars and recommend you check out the other books in the series as well.
OK...seriously, what did I just get punched in the gut with...the depressing history of a woman that everyone wanted to hate? Dani might not have been on your top 10 list of favorite biker babes, but after reading her story (and Crusher's) in-depth and way too up close and personal, I want to give her a hug and "most resilient and badass girl of the year" award. Claiming Crusher takes place over the course of the first three books in the Savage Brothers MC series and although you really "should" read all three of those awesome books to have a clear picture and understanding of all the relationships and back stories, Jordan Marie has written this one in such a clever way that you "could" read it and understand enough of what is going on to not feel lost and appreciate their story for what it is. My personal favorite is and always will be biker romances and I have read my fair share of them over the years, but this one, seriously had me holding my breath, sweating and just reading voraciously to find out what happens next (even though I already knew the outcome from the first books!). There was such an intensity of emotions, complex characters who had so many layers to them and such deep connections (both physical and spiritual) that I really came to a whole new understanding and "got" what we weren't told in the earlier books. Reading what happened before "after the fact" did not diminish the impact of what I was reading, and this book was well thought out and carefully put together to attract old and new readers as well. Bravo on a job well done and although I will warn you that this book was really tough to stomach in some parts (very graphic and brutal treatment of women), it was still a pleasure to read how it all plays out in the end. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.
***** 5 ***** "claiming each other through death and beyond" stars
Phenomenal.... Story telling at its absolute best.. Claiming Crusher blew me away I have nothing but the highest praises for Michelle Dare.
In Claiming Crusher we get a bit of a walk down memory lane for those that started this series from the beginning with Breaking Dragon. You get pieces from all three of the Savage Brother MC's. Michelle Dare does an outstanding job with staying on the story line when rewriting those events. Those events that are recapped take on a whole new life for us being they are written through Crusher and Dani's eyes. The story is seamlessly entwined and smooth flowing.
We have been getting small gimps of Dani and her past throughout this series. She is not a favorite of some of the Savage Brothers MC's mostly due to the incident with Nicole in Breaking Dragon. However Crusher aka "Zander" sees something more in Dani and he is determined to fix what is haunting her even if it means he has to go against his brother's.
We finally get the full story of Dani's past and be prepared it is not a easy one to read. Your emotions will be all over the place. We also learn of Crusher past and the demons he carries. There are plenty of hot steamy sweaty sex scenes that are guaranteed to leave you breathless and wanting a Crusher for yourself..
This has been an exceptional read. Michelle Dare's talent as an author really shines in Claiming Crusher. This whole series has been amazing.
I Highly recommend reading it you will not be disappointed.
Sorry, but I had to stop reading this book. It was just pissing me off. If Dani and Crusher somehow redeem themselves in the end, I don't see how, but I really don't care. I think both Crusher and Dani made stupid decisions and I don't understand why they kept all their secrets. Doesn't Dani care she's putting Nicole in danger and leaving her out there like a sitting duck? Wouldn't Crusher want all his brothers around to help? It made no sense to me and their reasoning still didn't make it any clearer. To me it seemed a contrivance to create and prolong the drama, it was just not very well done.
Truthfully this might be a decent book if you haven't read the others first. I have read them in order and have enjoyed them(5or4 stars) but this bored me to almost tears. It was retelling of events from their views where we learn a little more about them and their pasts but still.... ZzzzZzzz..
She did mention in the forward that she wrote it so you wouldn't have had to read the whole series. I guess that should've been my first clue. I strongly urge you to read them in order starting with Breaking Dragon...
I will most likely be reading the next one which is Bulls story. He's intriguing to me but I just hope its better than this.
I finished this 2 days ago but with how emotional this story was i had a hard time putting into words what i was feeling, I really really felt for Dani and Crusher and Jordan's done such an amazing job with each and every book, This really for me is another hit with each page i felt like either crying or screaming lol, This is a must read and i hope you love there story like i did. Thank you so much for another amazing story Jordan i can't wait to read more from you.
I liked this book, but I didn't LOVE it. I'm drawn to Dragon and his mama's story, but just don't feel the same about Crusher and his hellcat. Dani is truly a tortured soul with all the unbelievably horrible things she endured at the hand of her abusive husband and Crusher seems to be able to soothe her soul. I cannot WAIT for Bulls story next. I hope we get Diesels story too.
3.5 stars Dani and Zander are good together. After reading this from her perspective I kind of feel differently than I did when we met her in the first book. I also feel like Nicole is kind of an absent and bad friend at times. That said looking forward to Bulls book!
Claiming Crusher was boring for me. It was essentially a recap of the first few books just in Dani's and Zander's POV. I get why the author did this because it did help to show what was going on behind the scenes with them during Dragon's & Nicole's story and Dancer & Carrie's.
Still, I found myself skimming a lot when really both are great characters and deserved to have a more original story. They kind of got the short end of the stick in my opinion. It wasn't until around the 60% mark that it finally became interesting. That's not to say the crap Dani endured wasn't horrific and brutal, it was and Zander (Crusher) was a dream come true for her. I'm glad they got their HEA.
This is the 4th book in the series and features Crusher/Zander and Dani. The thing about this book is that it fills in all of the gaps from Loving Nicole.
It explains all of Zander’s motivations, Dani’s backstory, and what happens to Dani when she’s taken by her ex-husband. Mostly though it explores the depth of love that Zander and Dani have for each other.
This book is truly the love story of Zander and Dani. A good end to the their journey with the Savage Brothers MC since Crusher joins a new MC club In Tennessee so he and Dani can have a new start.
I really enjoyed reading a lot of these events that happened in Dragon and Nicole’s 2 books from Dani and Crusher’s points of view. It gave us basically a behind the scenes version of events. I think Jordan Marie had said that at the beginning of the series Dani was going to be just a throwaway character but I’m glad she decided to write her story. This series so far has made Dani a huge catalyst to many events that took place so far.

Oh this book...it was simply phenomenal!!! It was beautiful, heartbreaking, souls shaking, haunting, gritty, raw, powerful and a superb addition to the Savage Brothers MC Series. I laughed, I swooned, I cried, and I feel like I bled for this story. Could you tell that I liked it? I have thoroughly enjoyed every story in this series, but this book brought another level of depth and emotion out of me. If you thought Loving Nicole ripped your heart out, Claiming Crusher gutted you completely.
I am always entertained by this writer. She has a way with words that makes me laugh, and leaves you yearning for more. Each book has gotten progressively better in both the character development and detail, the writing style has gotten more refined, and you really feel as if you have connected on a visceral level with the storyline. This is the type of book that you get so entrenched in that hours have passed before you realize you haven't moved a muscle.
I needed this book!!! I feel like this whole series had been leading up to Dani and Crusher's story. Every other book in the series has given us bits and pieces of the overall story, but this book tied it all together perfectly. I was anxious, excited and nervous to read this book. I will admit that I haven't been a big fan of Dani in the past. Not to the point that I wanted her to die or anything, but I just didn't understand her choices and rationale. We got a glimpse of what she experienced in her past in Loving Nicole, but this book reopened that wound and let it fester. I now understand the decisions she made were not because she was so cavalier or stupid, but rather from a place of intense pain, brutal heartbreak, extreme trust issues, and a lack of self-confidence. I think that anyone who had been through so much trauma and abuse throughout their lifetime would react the same way.
I really loved the way the relationship developed between Dani and Crusher. It was natural, and full of realistic hurdles for the two to overcome. It's a fine line knowing how much of yourself to give in a new relationship, especially if you have trust issues. Crusher was the perfect man for Dani. He was patient, kind, giving, and understanding. He knew when to push and when to back off when pulling Dani out of her shell. She hid who she really was from everyone, yet she felt a pull towards Crusher that was unexplainable. She slowly began to overcome her fears and let him in.
What these two had was beautiful. Their vulnerability with each other, the tenderness they shared, and a passion that was sizzling hot made them a couple you could easily fall in love with. These two are incredibly strong people, yet together they are truly unstoppable. They overcome overwhelming odds to find their happy ending, and even though it is not quite what they expected, they were willing to risk everything for the other. That is true love at its finest.
I could go on and on, but I won't. I can say that I wholeheartedly recommend this book. You will not be disappointed, and I think that if you weren't a Dani fan before, you will be now. Go one-click this fantastic book and series!
***I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are 100% my own.***
We’ve known Dani since Breaking Dragon. We’ve known that she’s sassy and ballsy and free-spirited. Or rather….we THOUGHT we knew. And honestly she was likable…kinda in those other books. You wanted to wring her scrawny neck most of the time for making such STUPID decisions or thinking with the girl between her thighs instead of the girl between her ears. So we’re getting her story.
We’ve known Crusher since Breaking Dragon as well. Crusher…Dragon’s right hand man, his friend, the VP of his MC. And in Loving Nicole we saw him fall apart and do some things that didn’t seem right. That didn’t seem to fit into what we know of him.
Their story is almost as complicated as the woman herself. This book goes WAY back. It goes back years before Dani became Dani, back when she was Melinda. And Melinda suffered greatly. These years really formed the woman, even as she tried to reinvent herself as Dani. And as Dani, she was all smoke and mirrors and the only man who could see behind the illusion was Crusher. Everyone was clueless to what lay beneath. And this is their story. The bad, the good, the ugly and the beautiful. Only the very end of this story takes place beyond what we know from Loving Nicole. After they meet Crusher and Dragon, pretty much the events are the same, but Dani gets into different places and we can see the motivations and situations from a very different eye. One that actually has more facts than the rest of the players. And we can see that this woman is grossly misunderstood…on purpose. All except Crusher.
I enjoyed this story, though I will say my heart hurt more during this than any of the other books. I can say that I like her better than I have, though I’m still not a BIG Dani fan. I can definitely empathize with her and I’m overjoyed that she’s found her happily ever after.
Ms. Marie has taken a wildly unpopular and disliked character and made her completely empathetic and sad. It makes you realize that you should truly put yourself into someone else’ shoes before laying down judgement even if the person is trying for such judgements to cloud over the truth. Truly, the work is brilliant, even if I didn’t “enjoy” it as much as her previous ones. There’s a lesson in this book that you don’t get in the others, and this is by far more serious. So would I recommend this book. I would but just know there is EXTREME violence against women. There is rape. There is revenge. There is love. There is lust. There is bitterness. And there is redemption. Definitely not for the kiddos or the faint of heart.
I am a huge fan of Jordan Marie and the stories that she writes. She truly has a gift. Claiming Crusher is by far my most favorite of hers. I have been waiting for Dani and Crusher's story since the very beginning. The entire Savage Brothers MC series is a must read!! Jordan is truly talented to be able to go back and write what happened in the past three books and tell it all over again. This allowed us to see it all from Crusher and Dani's points of view. I loved this aspect. We learn about Dani's past and all she has suffered and endured by her husband. My heart wept for her. She was not too popular because of her choices, but after learning her reasons why, this just made me grow to love her more She is one strong, brave woman. We learn more about Crusher's past and his failures. I loved how he put Dani before the club, which I am sure was not favored upon. He also stayed true to Dani. All this just made me love and respect him even more. All the pieces of the puzzle were finally put into place. Once these two got over their push and pull, they are just dynamite together. Dani and Crusher healed one another. Their stories did put my emotions through the ringer. There is plenty of action to keep the pace of this book going strong. Plenty of steamy, hot sex. Crusher getting his kink!! Once I started reading Claiming Crusher, I didn't want to be disturbed until I was finished. Five golden stars. I absolutely loved this book and Crusher and Dani are two of my all time favorites now.
When you get that look in your eyes, I want to pull you in my arms and kiss you until it leaves.” Talk about book freaking hangover!
“You’re shitting me? Well fuck my ass and pull my hair, I think I’m going to be his Beauty at least for a night or two. Yo! Beast! Turn back around here and let me see those baby blues.” Let me just tease you with these for a minute…..crusher already making me swoon and Dani….just breaking my heart
This one just might be my favorite so far but I do love Dragon! ( excuse me while I day dream of that sexy man)
Okay this story was beautiful. You know when you just connect with the characters your reading about when you feel like you know them? That this story is so real….that is what flowed off these freaking pages! You may know nothing of MC life or what it’s like to be broken and beaten but you will FEEL LIKE you have walked miles in there shoes. It was spectacular to read!
This is a beautiful and raw book. The rebirth of Dani was amazing and the Lord Zander had for his women was perfect. I love how Jordan doesn’t make you feel like you have already read this story before…no it’s fresh and new and I want freaking more!
As you know we hate spoilers here so I can’t even explain how much I loved this book without giving it away…so I say BUY THIS FREAKING BOOK!
I have read all four books in the series, and each one has had me hooked.
**Positives about this book:** Jordan Marie can definitely write Dragon and Nicole will always be my favourite Made me understand Dani/Melinda a little better Crusher i definitely want one of him in my life.
**Negatives about this Book:** Most of the book went over things that we already knew, even though it was from Crushers and Dani's POV - which i can understand, but we knew most of the story from the previous books (not what Dani went through with her husband, cause obviously this book is about her and Crusher and their stories) then in the epilogue we get their new life, I was hoping that we could get more of their story after they left for their new lives in another MC Club Some Editing - speech marks in places that there shouldn't have been.
This series is good, loved all of them, but this one, i think wasn't for me. It made me understand Dani more, i didn't hate her from the first few books, i think she was just being a "friend" - a delusional friend, but still..
I will definitely continue reading this series cause its definitely worth it.

Wow Crusher and Dani where to begin!?! So we know from previous books that Dani has a very haunting past that she is terrified about catching up to her. Dani has maybe not been the most well liked and perfect person but who really is? Crusher we learn is a very persistant man (as most men are) when it comes to a woman. He is pushy, demanding, mysterious, amd sexy. He pursues Dani like she is his next meal! Claiming Crusher takes us on a journey into Dani's past that will show just how haunting and terrible it was and how she has survived this long with that past hanging over her head. We learn about Crusher and what makes him tick and what from his past has formed him into the man that he is today. Together will both Dani and l be able to overcome their past and move on or will the past destroy any possibility of a future they have... Jordan Marie brings a world of emotions out in Claiming Crusher to tell one hell of a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat straight through to the very end.
I just finished Crusher and it was an ok read for me. This is apart of the Savage Brothers MC and trust me when I say I was looking forward to this. I bought it immediately when it was live and it took me a few days with being in the middle of another book to be able to read this and I'm sad I didn't enjoy like other people. I wanted to see the whole climatic part with Dani and her husband Michael. Dani's story is sad and tragic. I really felt her pain. Crusher was who I was wanting to read. We got snip its from the novella so this story starts from where Dani and Nicole met Dragon and Crusher. I thought that was cool. We get to see it in their perspective. Once it got further in, there was for me to much back and forth. I felt that some of the things that caused them to go back and forth left little to be desired and felt that it was just a conflict that wasn't needed. I did finish it because I do love this author. I do want to read Bull. I think that one is gonna be great!!
