Victoria Bennett has been blessed with a loving husband, a wonderful son and amazing friends. Always the organized planner, Victoria was thrown life's curve ball when she found herself a widow and single mom before 40.

After mourning the loss of her husband and rejoining her friends and family in her once simple life, Victoria finds herself venturing into the world of online dating with little success.

After hanging up her keyboard and focusing on new experiences and hobbies, Victoria is as surprised as everyone else when her favorite pastime leads to a new career and passion for life. When a friendship turns to romance, her life is once again thrown for a loop. Like everything new in her life she takes on the relationship with gusto, and a series of mishaps.

Victoria soon learns that sometimes the life you've planned isn't the life you lead. It is still your life, just your life rewritten.

A romantic at heart, Andrea has always been a storyteller. An avid reader since a young age, she never planned to pen her own romance novel but, on a whim, and with no plan, she discovered her passion. Known for her slow burn small town romances, Andrea prides herself on writing relatable characters that the reader cheers for and secondary characters who bring the sass and laughs to each story.

Settled in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and dog, she counts down the days when her adult children come home for a visit. Even if it means more laundry!

Life Rewritten has got to be the sweetest most loving and heartfelt book I have read this year. Andrea has given the world an absolutely beautiful story of love, loss, and strength. Not only did I fall in love with the two main characters in this story, I also fell in love with the secondary ones too. It takes a very talented person to give you the amount of feels this book gave me. My heart broke, laughed, got angry and soared. It was a wonderful journey to go on and I am so happy I got to go on it. Thank you very much Andrea. I am very much looking forward to your future work. Victoria is who I want to be when I am I'm my forties! A strong, caring, beautiful, independent woman. We'll done!

Stacy talked me into reading this book, even put my information in to get an ARC and I was not disappointed. I love a good story about a second chance at love coming out of a tragedy. Love Rewritten was that perfect love story for me and I hope that if I am ever faced with having to date again that I can be just like Victoria. I found my heart broken and healed in this book. I cried, laughed, wanted to punch Dillion, then kiss him pretty quickly afterwards.

Very well written Andrea, you are going to go far in the industry. Congratulations on your debut novel. I look forward to reading more from you!

Andrea Johnston was born to write! From the first word to the last I fell in love with this story. It is a story that feels so real, as if, you are listening to your best friend talk to you about her "Life Rewritten." We all set out to live our life a certain way, with certain people, but we forget there can be curve balls. This book will take you through that but it will do so with so many different emotions. I laughed, I cried, and I even drank wine and ate chocolate cake while reading. As an avid reader, I want to relate to characters and to the book. Andrea Johnston made me feel as though I could be any one of her characters. Amazing talent! I can't wait to see what else she comes up with.

Life Rewritten was one of the most enjoyable books I have read in a while. After the last couple of books I have read, that were full of angst and misery, you really need a book like this that uplift your spirit. From the very beginning, I connected with Victoria. I went out on those horrible first dates and laughed at what she went through. After her husband passes away, she puts herself out there and has terrible luck with the men. With the help of her sister and best friend, she decides to open up her own business at her home and not look for a man for a while. She meets Dillon, who is the owner and baker of a cafe in town and they start dating. The banter between Victoria and Dillon was hilarious and the writing flowed. Next thing I know, I finished.

Wonderfully written book, but just a little more chick-lit than I expected.
It also would've been nice to get the hero's perspective. Still a very nice light romance.

Big points for 40+ H/h.

I really loved this book from first time author Andrea Johnston. It was really well written, her words were captivating and consuming. One of the things I enjoyed about most about this book was that I could relate to Victoria, on so many levels. I also loved that, although this was a beautifully emotional read, there were a lot of laughs as well. I found the humor to be perfectly timed, just when I needed it.

I loved the main characters Dillon and Victoria. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters as well, and I am really hoping there will be a story about her friend Anna! I need to know more about her! Life Rewritten is an amazing story about embracing TODAY, because you never know what tomorrow may bring. I really can’t wait to see what Andrea Johnston will write next. Fantastic romantic read!

Amazing Debut Novel!

“I feel powerful. It’s almost as if he believes I can do more than I really can. I feel this awakening within me and it scares the shit out of me. There’s no other way to explain it other than I feel like I am standing at the edge of a cliff ready to jump but I can’t see the bottom. It’s an abyss and I don’t know if I can take the leap.”

Life Rewritten is the debut novel of Andrea Johnston and was a fantastic read. The writing is smart, entertaining, and funny. The story-line was so engaging and had me laughing my ass off from literally the first page. Life Rewritten is Victoria’s story. At 40 years of age, she never thought that she would be finding herself starting over. Finally listening to family and friends, Victoria decides to take the plunge and start on-line dating. And let me tell you, her dates were hilarious. Don’t get me wrong, I felt terrible for Victoria, but at the same time, I couldn’t help, but want her to continue to go on bad dates. The stories were a riot! Just when Victoria is ready to give up on love, she finds love in an unexpected place…..

I absolutely adored Victoria. She was so easy to understand and connect with. She was a woman after my own heart, always having things organized and keeping lists. I loved her strength and the way she handled life’s curve-balls. I admired how she was able to just let go and accept that she has to move on; that she doesn’t want to be alone forever.

Dillon was an absolute breath of fresh air. He came into Victoria’s life at just the right moment. He became the friend and support that she needed. He really listened to Victoria. And I loved the chemistry that the two of them shared. Dillon totally made my heart swoon.

Life Rewritten was a quick and easy read for me. You could tell that the author put a lot of heart and soul into the book. I thought the story-line was refreshing and captivating. I couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. This story made me laugh, smile, swoon and brought tears to my eyes. It is also very light on the drama, but has one really great twist; one I totally wasn’t expecting.

Life Rewritten is one of those books that when you get to the end, your heart will be happy and you’ll be left with a big smile on your face. It will remind you that sometimes life doesn’t go as you planned it. It doesn’t mean you have to stop living. It’s still your life, you just have to rewrite it. I can not wait to read more from this author in the future.

Prepare yourself with all the things you will crave as you read this book: wine, chocolate, coffee and a hot, sensitive manly-man. And, if you can't find the guy, just get more wine!

Victoria is a 40-year-old widow coming to terms with the massive changes to her life. After a series of memorable, but unsuccessful outings via online dating, she's decided to take a break from dating. She pours herself into a new business venture centered around her love of reading. I was so moved by Victoria's circumstances and her approach to life and love at this stage of her life; it was honest and real and emotionally charged. And, her internal (sometimes accidentally external) monologue cracks me up!

Enter Dillon, the owner of Irish Coffee, Victoria's favorite coffee shop and haunt. He agrees to help her with the business plan and general planning for her new venture. The relationship grows from a really authentic place. Dillon's patience and understanding of Victoria's emotions and needs make him the most amazing BBF I've read in a long time. He's also the perfect match for her.

Experiencing Dillon and Victoria navigating their new relationship and the burgeoning business is fun and fresh. Dillon is also keeping a bit of a secret from Victoria and it was one I didn't see coming until it smacked me in the face! But, it's perfect!

I think the best thing about Life Rewritten is the way I felt when I finished the story. There is a perma-grin on my face and a lightness in my heart. Not only is it a sweet and poignant romance, but it's a great story to remind us that life doesn't always go as planned. But, Life Rewritten can still bring us more joy and satisfaction than we ever imagined.

This is Andrea Johnston's debut novel, and I'm so looking forward to the next book. I can't wait to see what kind of trouble Anna finds on her upcoming trip! If you like a sweet story, full of rich characters, delightful surprises and a satisfying happily ever after, one-click Life Rewritten today!

A truly wonderful and heart warming story about finding true love again, in your forties!

."Dating is almost like a really long job interview. Except instead of a power suit and a great up do, you're squeezed into some Spanx and trying not to order food that will stick to your teeth." .

A great story about rediscovering love after losing your one true love; and rewriting your life a little. I truly enjoyed diving into Victoria's life, her love of books, coffee, and her son really stuck to me. I felt like I could relate even though I'm a decade younger. I also really adored her friendship with her sister, Charlotte, and her best friend, Anna. Those three reminded me of my own triple threat of a group of friends - we handle life as one, and it's amazing.

"COFFEE. IS THERE anything better? The smell. The color. The caffeine! I'm a firm believer in the concept that nothing starts a day off like a freshly brewed cup of coffee."

"Most mornings I sit here, ponder life, read a little, and people watch. I love to people watch and try to figure out each person's story. I suppose that little habit of mine has contributed to my love of reading."

Not the first man to catch her eye in the book, but Dillon is the catch of the century. While I knew pretty early on he'd be a love interest; I didn't fully comprehend the impact he would have on her life. With a few twists along the way, this story caught my heart and made me laugh out loud; but it also made me tear up a little too. A very well-rounded story. Well done, Andrea.

This was one of those books that I saw on sale and thought why not. Well I am so glad that I said why not, this was an awesome story. I guess some might call it boring because it was so perfectly normal and believable. There were no crazy exes, there was no one trying to kill anyone, there were no crazy other women, and there was no over the top behavior out of any of the characters. I loved that, it was so refreshing to just have an amazing story that could be you or someone you know.

I loved Dillion and Victoria's story. I loved them. I loved Patrick. I loved Justin. I really liked Charlotte and Anna but yeah they still got on my nerves at times. Anna demanding details, umm no, luckily I don't know women in real life like that because I would have to slap them for even asking. I do have to say Victoria is a better friend that I could be to Anna, sorry Anna but I am judging you for your actions...it is part of the reason I couldn't love her.

I also have to say that I totally figured out the big reveal. The only problem I had with it was Liz, that totally peeved me at Dillion. I mean you just don't show up like that with some chick innocent or not, talk about a dumb move. But that was the only time I wanted to head slap him so I got over it.

But everything else about this story was heartfelt and so awesome. For this to be the author's first novel, well let's just say I can see a wonderful future of writing for her after reading this book.

A Beautiful, Emotional Debut!
First let start off by saying that I really enjoyed this read, the author's writing, creativity, descriptions, characters, really everything was just so terrific! I was completely swept away by this novel, ensconced in the story right from the beginning. I found myself really feeling close to the characters, laughing, tearing up, feeling happy, mad, and sad and the whole range of emotions as I read through this book, more than that though I was more experiencing than reading. This is one of the best reads of the summer for sure and I highly recommend it. I am so looking forward to more from this very talented author. I was generously provided a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.

I have read this author several times, but had not yet read her debut novel .... until now!

This book did not disappoint. I love books with characters in their 40's.

Victoria is a widow who is dabbling in dating, but not really looking all that hard. Online dating isn't getting her much (except maybe a few laughs). So she is content with her son, her BFF, her sister, her wine, and her romance novels.

She gets an idea to start up a business, and enlists the help of coffee shop owner, Dillon.

Sparks fly and you'll have to read to watch where it goes. There are some surprise twists that I never saw coming!!

The story was cute and the idea for Victoria’s business seemed really fun. I could definitely relate to wanting to curl up with book in a cozy nook without distractions. I liked trying to figure out Dylan’s secret even though I was unsuccessful. I ended up being surprised once it was revealed and then it all made sense! He was redeemed and such a good, patient guy. The accent didn’t hurt either!

The narration was a bit challenging to get used to. It could have been read more smoothly as it felt quite choppy.

4.25 “my happy place” stars!!

I had a hard time starring Life Rewritten. For a debut novel, this writer did a great job. The romance is swoon worthy and the friendships are entertaining, with an abundance of humor. I sat and went between 4 stars and 4.5 stars for almost 10 minutes before I said, “why not just go with 4.25, you idiot!”

“Somehow along the way I lost Victoria. For goodness sake, it took the entire village to create my online dating profile.”

Victoria’s story is proof that you should take each day as a given and enjoy it. But, Victoria didn’t do that, and there were many times that I wanted to shake her. Can you say insecure and stubborn?!?! And for the life of me, I can’t figure out why she was that way. Previously, she had a fantastic husband who gave her the world and made her feel loved always, so where did all the insecurity come from?!? And yes, Victoria did make me crazy, as a reader, but I know we all are insecure in some ways ;) So, that did make this story feel all the more realistic to me.

“Well, Ms. Bennett, I am not all men.”

Now Dillon, can you say PREFECTION!!! He is the perfect book boyfriend. Patience is one of his best qualities. He always seemed to know what to do and how to do it best. Even at the turning point of this story, I still loved him!! And that brings me to that turning point. Throughout most of this story I kept thinking, “I am enjoying this story but when is the WTF moment coming?” I know all books don’t need that drama moment, but for the drama lovers like me, I always hope for at least one small moment. And it’s there and it is written in such a great way. We are dealing with grown adults in this story and thank goodness they acted like them ;)

“So Patrick didn’t leave a letter for the man he knew you’d be dating, did he? Frankly, if I’m honest, that is kind of intimidating.”

This author has definitely won me over with her writing. I recommend you all give this one a read, and I look forward to future stories by this author :)

From the very start you are drawn into this refreshing second chance romance by Andrea Johnston. But this isn’t just a second chance love story, it’s also second chance at life, at discovering the strength you have within.

In Life Rewritten we meet Victoria, who three years after a devastating loss is trying to move into the next chapter of her life. With the support of her family and best friend she embarks on the adventures of online dating that yield comical situations that will have you laughing out loud. Once she decides to take a break from dating and focus on where the next phase of her life will take her things really get interesting.

Enter Dillion, the handsome bakery owner who Victoria has finds attractive but a bit of a mystery. Oh what can I say about Dillion, sigh. I found him to be incredibly supportive, caring and oh so handsome. I mean who doesn’t love a handsome man who can bake?

I really enjoyed how their relationship developed. Slowly and on a foundation of friendship, respect and yes an attraction that had sparks flying.

Life Rewritten is a smart, witty, touching read that will have the reader feeling that we should value every moment given, love those around us and write our own stories.

Victoria is a widow at 40 years old after losing her husband to cancer and is raising an 18 year old son. She has spent the last three years grieving and is giving into her friends and son to 'put herself back out there'. She goes the online dating route and her dating adventures are nightmares that she puts hilarious spins on. She decides the online dating scene isn't for her and wants to focus her energy on something else. She decides to open up her house as a retreat for those who share the passion of reading. Starting up a business is new and she asks Dillon, who owns the coffee house/bakery that she visits daily for advise. They become close friends and start a relationship. I'm not going to say much more as it would be too easy to say too much and spoil it for others that haven't read the book. I will say that the Victoria/Dillon combo is great!

I absolutely was hooked on this book from page one. The author did a fabulous job pulling a person in to the story. I felt I was right there drinking a glass of wine while Victoria was sharing her dating experiences.

I can't say enough good things about this book. I laughed and cried while reading this book. This is the best book I have read in quite awhile. In fact, I am already reading it again as I feel this book will just get better each time you read it.

Great job Andrea!!!

Victoria is a grown woman who is having to start over with some very unexpected encouragement. She is determined to find her new happiness.

Dillon is a (hot as the oven he bakes in) baker with a Irish accent. *That's all you need to know! Swoon* ok, so maybe he has one flaw.

The banter back and forth between these two reminds me that no matter what age you may be, you can be fun, flirty and sexy. Their journey is heart wrenchingly sweet.

Life Rewritten reminds me that you are not destined to be the crazy cat lady because you've lost love. It's a reminder that love is not just for the young. It's meant to be lived by every heart that beats, every woman that dreams and every man that desires.

"This isn’t the story I planned but I think it is the one I’m meant to have."

Now go, live a life not planned!

I won this book during a take over. I am so glad that I was introduced to Andrea and her writing style! She had me laughing one minute and crying the next. She really gets you in the feels.

Well I didn't see that coming! What an enjoyable read about a second chance at love. Once you get past how completely neurotic Victoria is to the point of being extremely annoying it is a really good clean read (minus some language). With all that's happened to Vic and her promises to embrace life she is still holding on and protecting herself, thank God for Anna and Charlotte they help round her out. Dillon has some secrets that just might put a crimp in things but only time may tell. Lots of laugh out load dialogue and fun times making lemonade from lemons that have been thrown Vic's way. In the end isn't this the opportunity of a lifetime, to be able to rewrite our lives and make them what we want.

This is the first book I have written from this author and I am happy to discover her, This is a standalone but I sense there may be more books about some of the characters we met here, mainly Anna, Charlotte and Liam. I think this writer has the imagination to take us there.

I love Victoria and her journey of essentially finding herself. Andrea writes the story and makes me feel like I'm right there with them. Victoria had the her support system with her best friend and little sister. The journey of her new life was a great experience nd I admire her for that. Between the online dating and the new business adventure, and throw in a sexy Irish man....yes, please. This story is inspiring to self confidence and new changes.

I loved the idea of this book. Victoria's life has come to a stand still. She's unhappy so she takes the steps necessary to make her dreams come true. Her dreams where ones as a reader that I could relate to making the story that much better. I really liked how while there was romance involved the storyline didn't revolve around it.

Anna and Charlotte are amazingly supportive, crazy, and ball busting best friends that really added to the story. Justin wasn't your typical teen. His bond with his mom was extraordinary. Their relationship brought a lot to the story.

Dillion was a great character. He was easy to love. But he also added twists and turns to the story that kept it exciting. A great summer read that leaves you with a smile.

I really enjoyed this story. It was nice to read about someone in their forties instead of being college aged. It's a emotional trip following a mid aged widow trying to find her new path in life. I enjoyed MC Victoria and MC Dillon's relationship. I think anyone who reads this book will also fall in love with Dillon!!! The story makes you think about what decisions you would make. It also has some good messages such as hope, trusting yourself and just enjoying what life brings you. I only gave 4.5 stars because I felt more description in the love scenes would have been nice. The book started a little slow for me but I was sure it would pickup and I wasn't disappointed!! A very nice read. Hopefully Andrea will tell Anna and Charlotte's story in the future. I was given an advanced copy and tried to give my honest opinion xo

This had so many positive reviews that I thought it'd be a winner. It's okay - perhaps good for reading on a vacation. But I found the plot and character development rather shallow. I also found some of the stuff hard to believe - who has sleepovers with grown women? Really? The main character Victoria comes off more like a 20 something rather than a woman in her 40s. I also am not a fan of using profanity. Just don't see the need for it in a well written book. I did like the ending - I anticipated some wild twist as Dillon has this secret life that Victoria doesn't seem to know anything about. But here again, I also found this unbelievable that she wouldn't question him about it. I'm glad I only paid $2.99 for my Kindle edition and I probably won't add any future books from Ms. Johnston to my to-read list.

This was an amazing story. I loved reading it. This was a different story that was not the twenty year old, googly eyes, fell in love for the first time story. This is a story about mourning, friendship, dating, and falling in love.

The online dating experience for Victoria cracked me up. Bless her heart, she dated some doozies! When she finally comes into her own and finds a new career, things begin to take off. She begins a relationship and turns back into a twenty year old.

I liked how Johnston wrote this book. Victoria never stopped forgetting her past and had a few conflicts but her new relationship knows how to help her. Victoria finding love again is wonderful and very well written. I enjoyed this story tremendously.

Life Rewritten is an entertaining debut novel that isn’t solely focused on the romance, which can be refreshing depending on the reader. For me it was a quick and easy page turner. The story has heart and keeps your attention the entire read.

Both the main and secondary characters, as well as their experiences, are easy to relate to. Their story reminds you of the twists and turns life can bring, and that it’s okay to embrace change.

A recommended read that will get you in the feels department. I’m looking forward to checking out more from this author. I was provided an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Kicka$$ best friends and a chance at a new life? Yes please! There's nothing I like more than finding a new author that knocks it out of the park on the first try but Andrea Johnson has definitely done exactly that. I love the story line and the great characters. Victoria is starting over as a single mom after her husband succumbs to cancer. She has amazing friends that are supportive of her dreams and want her to be happy. Dillon is the exact thing she needs at that exact time in her life. *sigh* all the feels are overwhelming. Be prepared.
