Torin McCarthy is a whole problem and apparently that’s my type. 😂🖤 Dangerous, possessive and determined to protect Valentina even when she has every reason not to trust him. I loved that she didn’t just accept his promises because he said the right things. That tension between them made the softer moments mean more.
There’s plenty of spice but the trust and hurt/comfort are what make their relationship interesting. Add the secrets and danger and these two have a lot more to work through than their attraction.
Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring Torin and Valentina’s story to audio making this an easy pick for anyone who loves listening to their morally grey men. 🖤

I cannot get enough of Jane Henrys books and the audio was absolutely everything for Torin and valentinas story. The captorxcaptive vibes was everything I needed to finally have Torins story. And I just knew Valentina was a high candidate to be the FMC for this one but to have Torin as MMC yesss please. Wen and Kai as valentina and Torin was the best! Although i loved the duet audio although i wish they did the female/male voices for each others chapters but i still loved it! I cannot wait for the next installment I just know its the sisters turn

The next generation of the McCarthy family saga continues. The story will focus mainly on Torin McCarthy and Valentina Esposito. The McCarthy and Esposito families arranged for Declan McCarthy to marry Valentina Esposito, until they discovered the woman posing as Valentina was a fake. Now, everyone wants to know what has happened to the real Valentina.
The story will have Torin McCarthy being released from Mountjoy Prison. When Declan and Seamus come to pick him up, there are also reporters yelling out questions.
Torin: No, Seamus. Let them come. Let them tell everyone.
“Torin McCarthy, is it true that you were framed?
“Are you eager to get back home?”
“Is it true you were released on bail?”
Torin: Aye, eager to be home. No bail.

I loved the story of Torin and Valentina. I think they are well matched and have great chemistry. Things are a bit tense at first. How can she trust a man who would pay for a woman? She is cautious but not passive. They have their share of moments, power exchange, and power struggles. As they learn to trust one another and, with the McCarthy family, discover who, what, and why, they can start making plans.
The story is shrouded in secrets, mystery, suspense, life-and-death danger, and the good, the bad, and the evil in people. It is a matter of placing all the players involved, determining who did what and why, and then becoming judge, jury, and executioner. The story does give the reader a happy ending with a resolution. This story does have explicit scenes and power exchange.

Wicked Auction is the fourth book in The McCarthy Family Legacy series by Jane Henry. This is a delectable and luscious addition to an fantastic series. The story is about Valentina Esposito and Torian McCarthy. He has been in prison and is finally released after proving the it was a false conviction. Valentina had been kidnapped, well really taken, a while ago and is barely surviving. The men who are supposed to take care of her are abusive and have drugged her. She finds herself on an auction block with a group of other young women. Through contacts the McCarthy's become aware of an auction of young women and one of them is Valentina. Torin is taken to the auction and has the winning bid on Valentina. This sets up a whole new dynamic as she believes it is his family who are responsible for her disappearance and all that has followed. Torin must convince Valentina that someone has set-up his family for her being taken and that he needs to know what she remembers, as they want to get to the bottom of the mystery. Along the way Torin proves she is able to trust him, even if she is still a bit leery. But the more time Valentina spends with Torin, the more he keeps his promises to her, the more he shows her kindness and the sparks start to fly, the more she is unsure she ever wants to return to her family. For Torin is seems that Valentina understands who he is and what he needs, and gives him that. They find a balance that works between them and blossoms into love. But what will happen when Valentina is finally free to leave....will she fly away or will the blossom stay on the rose.

A phenomenal story with lots of banter & spice
Wicked Auction is a page turning, incredible read with all the dark mafia romance vibes that I adore. I couldn’t put the book down. It is a Dark Enemies to Lovers Irish Mafia Romance. The story centers around Torin McCarthy and Valentina Esposito. This is the fourth book in the The McCarthy Family Legacy Series. I absolutely adore that the author allows the reader the chance to check up with some of the members of the McCarthy family. Wicked Auction is a captivating story with unique characters and storyline.
I was waiting for Torin’s story, and the author didn’t disappoint. The raw and powerful connection/chemistry between Torin and Valentina is marvelous. ❤️🔥 I love the banter between the couple. Torin was framed for something he didn’t do. Valentina is kidnapped and put up for auction. Torin is sent to save her and keep her safe. Valentina doesn’t trust Torin, exceptionally when he hid his identity from her. There are secrets, action, and intrigue. Torin and Valentina are perfect together, and one of my favorite couples.
Wicked Auction has suspense, danger, tense moments, secrets, love, intrigue, romance, twists and turns, banter, chemistry, mafia families, banter, action packed, HEA, mystery, lots of drama, 2nd generation family members, enemies to lovers, obsessed hero, vulnerability, and all the feels. This is the fourth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Torin and Valentina’s story.
Valentine is kidnapped and then put up for auction, and Torin purchases her, and is determined to keep her safe and protected, while seeking answers about who kidnapped her in the first place.
This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, friendships, drama, tension, danger, suspense, intrigue, hidden identity, kidnapping, extortion, forced proximity, hurt / comfort, enemies / lovers, morally gray, touch her and die, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, dark Irish mafia romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Torin buys Valentina at an auction to help save her but she doesn’t trust him, especially after everything she’s been through. His past is full of trauma and challenges as well. She challenges him and isn’t a push over and he’s protective and strong as well. They keep each other moving forward and pushing through all while developing trust. Their friendship and bond also grows. There’s plenty of mystery, suspense, chemistry, and finding love in unlikely situations.

This is the fourth book in the McCarthy Family Legacy series. Valentina is kidnapped and is to be sold at auction. She doesn’t know it yet but, Torin has been sent to save her and bring her home. Their story is action packed, filled with danger, suspense and drama. It’s dark, captivating and gripping. An engaging Irish mafia, enemies to lovers romance that kept me turning pages non-stop!

Hot Damn Irish mafia romances are my jam! Torin McCarthy is the total package with many talents up his sleeves. He is a force to be reckoned with and has the most delicious ways to get a woman to open up. Torin is also a man of his word who will punish as he sees fit and apologize when he is in the wrong. Don’t get me wrong, Miss Valentina is just as impressive if not more so. She is cunning, calculating, cautious, intelligent, and very beautiful. This woman has a poker face that is held with such ease and control making her the most dangerous woman to be around. The banter and battle for control between Torin and Valentina is addictive to read/listen to. When these two give into each other it is down right exquisite! I’m excited for the next book in this series. Narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross was phenomenal. These two are definitely made for mafia romances. They set this audio on fire!!!!!!! Chef’s kiss! Thank you Valentine PR and Jane Henry for this fantastic ALC opportunity!
