Warning: This story is for mature adults only. It contains violence, mature and explicit content and non-consensual/dubious, graphic sexual activity that some readers may find upsetting. This is a dark erotic thriller, not to be confused with a dark romance.

HER

This was never supposed to happen to me. I was smart. I was strong. I was a fucking first degree black belt for fuck's sake, but none of that mattered. Not when you're out-gunned and outnumbered. I was stolen from my life and thrown into the dark and hollow depths of human trafficking. But it’s not all glitter and rainbows...especially when it comes to him. He wants me beaten. He wants me broken. But most importantly, he just wants me and that's the scariest thing of all. I won't let him win. I won't let him break me. I'll come back like steel every time. Because in the end, what doesn't kill me will only make me stronger...

HIM

I'm not a very nice guy. I'm a terrible person in fact, but I'm not going to pretend to care. I have a billion-dollar empire to run that manifests carnage, blood, and money and I crave it all. Nothing ever got in my way, nothing stopped me. If I wanted something, I made it happen, that is until this damn red-head crawled into my life. Strong, defiant, and a mixed martial artist, she was everything I never expected to want in a woman. Breaking her down became an obsession as she'd always somehow pop back up like a damn weed I couldn't kill. It was addicting and it became harder and harder for me to pretend I didn't love the taste of her fire every time I covered her with my ice. I wanted more and I'll be damned if I didn't get it. Because in the end, I always get what I want.

Jay Marie has been writing since she first learned the alphabet, but it wasn’t until 25 years later that she finally decided to take the deep plunge into the depths of publishing. Her written work conveys the darker side of writing, bringing in to light what most may shy away from. She has a passion for writing strong female characters with a brain that can override their sex drives, deliver one hell of a punch as well as take one. They have backbones made of steel and hearts that beat with a ferocity that refuses to be tamed or matched.

Her inspiration comes in the form of a minefield on top of a snow covered mountain. One step and a new idea explodes in her head, and then before you know it, she has an avalanche of ideas rushing through her brain and it does not stop!

When she's not writing until the late hours of the night, she's working as a legal assistant at a personal injury law firm in Michigan. She is also a part time law student at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School where she studies in the evening in hopes of becoming a human rights attorney. IN SHORT —> What a fucking joke

Another dark romance! Yay!

I love that genre, so I couldn’t wait to start reading it. I was expecting a ruthless but sexy male MC, a clever and strong female MC, and a storyline that left me breathless and hanging on the edge of my seat.

What I actually got was a laughable pile of digested food.

The story starts with Jade (I think her name was that…) waking up in a cell, surrounded by more cells containing other women. She is confused and she can’t remember how she came to be there. A girl next to her informs her they’ve all been kidnapped by a human trafficking organisation.

“Where am I?” I asked, my voice dry and cracking, my irritation evident.
“Hell,” she said nonchalantly.

Now, the thing with Jade is, she is a bitch. Simple as that. I didn’t care for her once in the whole of the bloody book, even when she was being tortured or whatever. That makes me sound evil, but bloody hell, she was just so hate-able I just didn’t give a shit for her.

First of all, she’s a bitch to the fellow girls:

“So, what have you learned about this place?”
“What do you mean?” she asked me curiously.
I rolled my eyes. God, I hoped she wasn’t useless.

Uhm… alright, chill, not everybody is as clever as you 🙄

Then she starts kicking the metal lock (??) to try to break it (yes, good luck with that), and a girl, obviously, tries to stop her hurting herself:

“Won’t do any good. Most of us have already tried that.”
“Most of you probably don’t know how to kick properly,” I growled.

I mean, that was a bitchy comeback, right? It’s not just me, right? But wait, after she says that, this is her brilliant excuse for snapping like that to the poor girl:

I didn’t mean to insult her, but I was pissed to be in this situation, and rightfully so.

Like, come the fuck on! Those girls have been there longer than you, probably been through tortures you never imagined, and you dare say that you were justified to act like that?! Simply because you were kidnapped? Where’s your bloody empathy and humbleness?!

But God, she gets WORSE! How, you may ask? Well, at that moment in the story, some guards (the bad guys that are ‘staff’ in the compound where the girls are in basically) come inside the room, and some girls whimper at the sight of them. As a Psychology student, I understand that completely. But how does Jade-The-Bitch act seeing that?

All the girls who were awake staggered back into their cages, whimpering and attempting to put as much distance between them and the guards as possible.
Pathetic.

She. Just. Called. Them. Pathetic. For her, victims of human trafficking are pathetic. How in the ever loving God is this girl….?!!!
I cannot…
I just cannot explain the anger I felt at 3am yesterday night whilst I was reading this book.
I swear to God I hate her, I really do.

The gall of her to look down on them. She deserves whatever will come at her. And that was the moment I didn’t give a shit about Jade anymore and kept reading the book like I was reading a shopping list.

But as well as being a bitch, she’s also an arrogant bitch. And one of those types that are so insecure and immature that they always rely on violence. Because, ya know, Jade-The-Bitch is above using words like a proper, mature adult 🙄

This is how high she believes she is (and also how much better than other women she is):

No matter what situation I was in, I never showed fear. Never. I was not someone who was easily intimidated. While other girls might cower away in a corner, probably because that’s all they could do, I would stare the threat down, pick it apart piece by piece, analyze its weaknesses, and formulate a strategy to strike.

*YAWN*

And on top of that, we learn she has been driving bikes since she was 10 (???!) because her father made her do so (what kind of father….?) and she’s a martial arts master. Of-fucking-course she is. And oh! On top of that (like we need more) she’s from Law School, graduated in Psychology, had a minor in Political Sciences…. for fuck’s sake, I was dying of boredom on how fucking perfect and clever she was.

Lucky for me, I was big on fitness and worked my body to be strong and dependable, so my confidence was usually pretty fucking fierce.
I had to admit, my four pack was visible from a mile away. My biceps, though small, were rock hard, my shoulders defined, and my legs lean and powerful.

She goes on and on about how good she looks… when is it ending?! Nobody cares about that, this is a dark romance about human trafficking. Where are the emotions? The gloomy metaphors? The dark ambience? The everyday struggles of victims?
This book only seems to be a pedestal for Jade-The-Bitch to shine on.

And lets add YET another virtue to her (because she never ceases to be amazing). Stupidness. Yep. Jade is fucking stupid.

Basically, the guards punish you whenever you do something they don’t like, one of them being talking back at them. And guess what Jade does? You guessed correctly! She talks back at them, curses at them, and then she gets all pissy and angry that she gets punished. Uhm… yeah, she’s stupid. Like, shit girl, you don’t really learn, do ya?

Oh, and did I mention already she a violent little bitch? Yeah, just wanted to stress it further:

[…]the very idea of someone thinking I was small made me want to punch them square in the face

You’re short. Big fucking deal. Just get on with life, bloody hell.

She keeps on fucking angering the “Owner” (the male MC) and she also gets pissy with him when she gets punished. She starts singing together with the other girls, and gets pissy for getting punished. She fucking has a chance of running after flooring one of the guards, but stays there to keep on hitting him instead of using that opportunity to escape. Just. Fucking. Stupid.

*ARRRGGGH*

Also, she acts like she’s the only victim, and I have a slight inclination she hates males. Why, you ask?

I didn’t fit the profile, but what the fuck did I know about their slave qualifications? I had tits and a vagina. Good enough.

Can I remind you Jade, that there are male slaves around the world too?

“I swear to God, men were pathetic.”

Oh yeah, because you are so much better as a female 🙄

She describes brown as a masculine colour:
[…]and a dark chocolate brown painted the walls, giving the room a very masculine vibe.

I don’t know in what world she lives, but in my book, brown is a shit colour to paint your walls for both sexes. Pun definitely intended.

“But, Flavia,” you may ask, “what about the storyline? Was that at least to your fancy?”

And I would laugh in your face.

Because. WHAT FUCKING STORYLINE.

It was all about her, her, and more her. Her ranting, her belittling others, her showing off, her doing stupid shit, and her fighting. Yes, more than 10 pages was just her having ONE weird-assed martial arts fight with the Owner. Yes, I did skip that, thanks for asking.

“What about the Owner? Was he as ruthless and dark as you wanted?”

*More laughing in your face.* He sucked. Period.

“…and, the sex? That, at least…!”

Nope, the sex scenes were shit too. Mainly because it was mostly him raping her (*cringe*), but even when she started enjoying it (as you do in dark romances) it was seriously boring.

“But- but, did you even enjoy anything??? Anything at all????”

Why, yes, I did. I really fucking loved it when I reached the end of this sad excuse of a book.

I can’t believe this novel received so many 5 and 4 star reviews. Are we even reading the same thing? So many praises on Jade being strong (*GAG*) clever (*DOUBLE GAG*) and relatable (*UNCONTROLLABLE GAGGING*). To me, she was the only pathetic creature there.

I guess it’s the whole “It’s not you, it’s me” thing…

Well, see you guys on Wednesday for my next blog post, here’s to hoping I’ll read something better, but you can only go higher after this…

Peace and love!

Very well written
Badass heroine
Plot was superbly directed
Cliffhanger

Jaden, a 25-year-old postgraduate student is abducted and held by a sadistic human trafficker. Imagine his surprise when he realizes she is in fact, a mixed martial arts expert. Yeah, Jaden is one badass female.

A heartbreaking book that portrays human trafficking in a stark and utterly realistic view. Not for the faint of heart.

Overall: A fast-paced, thoroughly engaging book. Can't wait to read book 2
Trigger warning for rape, murder, physical and mental torture.

Genre: Erotica
Setting: Detroit, Michigan
POVs:
Action: 5/5
Triggers: Yes.

Jaden Wilder was leaving law school one evening when she was attacked, abducted, and transported to an undisclosed location. She fought bravely for her life prior to being stolen away, but once captured, reality hits her: she's being held prisoner in a cage like an animal. And worst of all? Surrounding her are other cages of women being held prisoner just like her! Jaden doesn't accept her captivity like a meek and willing slave, though.

The action scenes in this story gave me life! They were well-paced and firmly held my attention!

 photo IMG_5169_zpsepdxozum.gif

Who doesn't love a strong heroine who can perform her own stunts and doesn't wait for the cavalry to show up?

 photo IMG_5043_zpsclp5ij1o.gif

►This story fixated on Jaden's strengths but also realistically made light of her weaknesses. Her attempts to escape and frequent moments of rebellion had dire consequences, and most of her efforts were trial and error driven. She had every right to be uncaring, selfish, and withdrawn, but it simply wasn't in her DNA to roll over and play dead while others suffered along with her!

►The villain in this story was a monster who was beautiful to look at but who also bore the classic-case sociopathic signs. I loved hating HIM! He was the disturbed and depraved ringleader of the organized trafficking operation and I wondered just how this story would play out in the next installment. Hopefully, both characters will remain rigid in their stance and not bend...

So why not five stars?
After reading "dark" books written by J.D. Sloane and Pepper Winters, I've become a bit pickier about what I like in an erotic thriller (no romance in this book--ha!) and I needed more meat on the bones of this tantalizing story! It had most of the qualities that I love in a dark-ish book, but it fell a wee bit short. Definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series and seeing how these characters progress! Enjoyed!

You might think you like, "dark" erotica but you won't know whether you really do or not until you read this book. STOLEN is the definition of, "dark"! If you're the type who claims to dislike, "senseless violence" in your books, don't bother reading this one because there's a lot of violence and for those who aren't into depraved fiction, it won't make any sense. For me though, what happens in STOLEN defines what a truly, "dark" book is. This book is sick, disgusting, depraved and twisted = it's fabulous!

There are only 2 things on my mind. I wish I knew this was an unfinished series going in (4 books out of 5) because I enjoyed this way too much.

Although I had heard of this book for a few years, I hesitated because I really steer clear from romances based on a trafficking storyline. I tried reading them, whether it's the hero being an enforcer, the leader, or the buyer but I can't get into them casually. I've only read 1-2 that I've enjoyed, but there were still some things in there that really depress my spirit, as it generally deals with the H breaking down the h. I much prefer this storyline when it's purely smut. Anyways, another reason that held me back was some GR reviewers found the heroine too badass to be believable. I've also been burned by romances that feature the kickass heroine.

What I ended up reading in one sitting was an amazing female fantasy novel with good smut that didn't take over the plot. I found it more sensual and erotic than explicitly dirty. Odd but true, what I remember and can't get out of my head are the moments that reveal the hero is obsessed with the heroine, and these are his actions outside of the proverbial bedroom, so to speak.

I really want to start the next book (!!) but I also heard the unfinished series ends on a cliffhanger and I cannot do that to myself.

Some random notes:

+ The hero is brutal to the heroine but the brutality in Jay Marie's Stolen reminds me a lot of Whitney Bianca's I Know What Love Is. There is a fine line and these authors know it. I honestly felt it was clear from the beginning that the hero was turned on by the heroine's fight and that any violence he doled out to her was an excuse to fight with her. It becomes clearer but it was not obvious, and the hero was unpredictable so it made everything so much fun to read.

+ I love this book as a "what if a 'normal' girl with an interest in being strong is taken?" The scene where the hero asks his computer whiz/head of security guy to look her up and then proceeds to question the guard who ordered her to be taken why he hadn't done the research to figure out she's going to be trouble... that was a hilarious scene.

+Jaden does beat up a lot of guards. Was it wise? No, but you know what? Her thought process made so much sense. She knew she was doing dumb stuff. She couldn't help it. And you could see her decide what she'd risk. Her pride and her desire to help the other captives were her downfall.

+Jaden is sarcastic, but I liked it. She was funny. In fact, humour is used effectively here. Not too much, but when there is, it's a good surprise, sprinkled in among the violence.

+Jaden's trauma was well written.

+I also found myself going along with this plot because 1) There was no "training" of the captives to become mindless, scared objects. They were mostly in their cages, so it felt more of a prison romance. When Jaden thought what would kill her was that mental defeat, that is honestly why I can't stomach these storylines, 2) The hero's operations is not based solely on this. I really liked that it was explained the hero was only there because he was getting rid of a manager that was cutting side deals with customers. He's absolutely not a good dude, but idk that little bit of information was like ah ok not that that it excuses his actions. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but thank you for just sharing that. It makes it better even though it doesn't matter.

+The violence also didn't disgust me because of the fine line, the heroine's own abilities to keep a calm head (she knows how to itemize the impact of attacks, and how to protect herself, shield from the worst of it, as well as how to calm and take care of herself the best she can afterwards) and her fierce determination to never bow down. One of the first extended fight foreplay scenes between Jaden and him was giving major Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibes where both of them are fighting, and it's more like fun. Which it was for him. Probably for Jaden, if she wasn't in that situation but in a gym tbh.

+Hero is possessive and obsessive. The 3 guards pulling Jaden out of her cell at night for revenge is such a highlight.

After Jay Marie adapted Stolen,i re-read it,and it’s even better than it was before!
The overall storyline may still be the same, but she’s added scenes, and altered a few details.
It still is NOT a romance, but a story about a girl being caught by human traffickers.
A girl that’s not going to give up fighting for what she believes in as well as her freedom.
It is still a story about the dark underworld, where human life is valued in hard cold cash.
And it’s still a story that left me shaken to the core, knowing that this happens for real.

It's a dark and depraved world Jaden is dragged into, the world of human trafficking and she has to find a way to survive it in one piece....Fighting with everything she has,Jaden tries to find a way out, away from the owner that punishes defiance with brutal violence.....My heart racing,i was on the edge of my seat until the last page. I have to know what happens to Jaden...So now i'm going straight to Survival. And hope i will survive the ride.....

I can't say enough good things about Stolen! Ok so yeah this story is NOT for everyone. I mean it. I'm not going to say DO NOT READ IT, because as soon as I say it, someone will see it as a challenge and read the book. Said person would be traumitized and therefore raise hell about the book and leave a bad review.

Warning: Stolen is pitch black. Stolen deals with a subject not really discussed in polite society but is so blantant in execution, I cannot fathom why it’s not discussed more. Human Trafficking. Nasty nasty business but a huge part of the world, A multi-billion dollar business. In Stolen, Jaden's story is almost a carbon copy of most acqusitions. However, she’s not the average acquisition. The differences in Jaedan are what bring this story to life! Jaedan will ultimately find herself front and center of attention....then BOOYAH! Things go from sugar to moonshine in 0.5 seconds!

To reinterate, this story is not for readers who are vanilla or gray readers. This story WILL traumitize you. Although the story is fiction, it does offer a very realistic insight into Human Trafficking. There is abuse of all kind in this story. Its not pretty. And the reader should not expect it to be all flowers and gumdrops. I've never heard of a handler asking permission to have sex with an acquition. So don't behave as if its a shock because now you know!

For those of you who choose to enter Jaedan's world, woooosa! It's about to get very dark in here!

5 amazing stars!

Warning! This book contains disturbing situations, strong language, graphic, sexual content, some forced, some not. If darkness scares you, then you should probably move on. If you are up for a dark, exhilarating, dangerous read, sit back and enjoy!

This book! WOW… Where to begin… This is an erotic thriller series about a girl who’s been abducted and forced into the savage world of human trafficking. Jaden wakes up, literally, in her worst nightmare after being drugged and stolen away from a life she worked so hard to build. What's worse is that she’s dedicated so much of her life to ensuring that she would never be victimized. She’s spent years training as a mixed martial artist. She is beautiful, but not your average girly girl. She loves the outdoor sports, motorcycles, guns, UFC, and she’s not a big fan of pink. She soon finds out the hard way that no amount of training could have prepared her for the Owner.

Jaden : Strong, beautiful, vivacious, spirited, sarcastic, determined, fighter, smart

description

” She’s probably going to be my biggest challenge ever, and God knows I love a challenge”

Owner : Cruel, sadistic, violent, gorgeous, powerful, rich, alpha-male, controlling

description

”I was the type of man who took what he wanted in life, whenever and however he wanted, and anyone who had the guts to get in my way was met with a bullet to the kneecap or worse. I was not a man to be taken lightly. I exerted my control and dominance over everything and everyone around me as I was raised to do, no exceptions. In my world, I was not an enemy you wanted to make in this life, and the entire underground would knew that.”

This story is about the strength and endurance of the human spirit and the turmoil that one girl goes through in a struggle to maintain control of her life, body, and soul.

”Why was he so hell bent on keeping me around? Was I so much more special than all the other slaves? I supposed they certainly behaved better than I did. And maybe that was what he loved – my defiance because it didn’t just come with screams and cries, it came with fists and blood. I had been giving him exactly what he wanted, the challenge he so clearly craved. He wanted to break me so bad; he wanted to prove that he was the victor and I would be the sold sore loser. Well, that wasn’t going to happen. I wasn’t going to let him beat me at his own game. He could push and pull all he wanted, but I would only bend with the wind and bounce back when it was over.”

Jaden wakes up and finds herself in the middle of her worst nightmare. She's been kidnapped and is locked in a cage in a room full of more caged women. When she's taken to meet the gorgeous Owner, her fears are confirmed when she's told they're all going to be sold as slaves to the highest bidder at auction. Jaden is determined not to give up and plans on escaping.

Jaden is unlike any woman the Owner has ever seen. She's tiny and beautiful, but with her martial arts background, she's a challenge and the first one he's faced in a long time. The closer it comes to the auction, the more the Owner wants Jaden for his own.

I probably shouldn't like the Owner because of the kind of man he is. However I find I'm always drawn to the sexy bad boys who become obsessed with the leading female characters. Jaden was stubborn to a fault and didn't lose hope no matter how badly things looked. Her only fault was her inability to realize that her actions caused pain for the other captives. There's a twist at the end that has me intrigued to see where this story is going.

I purchased this book from iBooks since it's not available at Amazon. There are some intense scenes that are dark and violent. Books 2 and 3, Survival and Spark, are both available and I'll be continuing with this story to see what happens next.

4.5 stars purely for the enjoyment factor. I appreciated that there was no beating around the bush. The writer got straight to the point while still having the necessary build-up that this type of story requires. The chemistry was there, and the back and forth between the main couple was very entertaining. I appreciated that the writing managed to avoid being cringy, particularly with the very typical Captive/Captor storyline.

One thing I would have preferred is for this story to not be dual POV. I found the male pov to be quite unnecessary and taking away from the suspense of the story. But it's not anything that affected my reading experience too much. Overall, I'm loving this and definitely recommend if you have a high tolerance for pitch black romances.

I really don't know what to rate this book. On one hand I couldn't put it down, but on the other hand it was choc-a-block full of triggers, dark (human trafficking) and IMO a tad too realistic. I like to suspend disbelief in my reading but this book felt real and made me feel uncomfortable.
I could only wish I were as strong as this heroine....physically and mentally...to survive this type of situation. There were times though, that I was yelling at my kindle, telling the heroine to sit her arse down. Her pride got in the way and she paid for that a lot. But it made me think and ask myself...would I submit or fight?

Fantastic writing featuring a strong h who didn't fall for the gorgeous H after a few romps. So tired of wimpy h's who "melt" after the H's touch and it was refreshing to witness a truly courageous h with a good head on her shoulders who doesn't like the H at all.

I consider this a dark thriller rather than a romance because of how brutal the H or villain is...hopefully by the end of the series, the author will have redeemed him. But despite his cruelty, he is extremely obsessed with the h and would do anything to keep her by his side. She's as essential as the air he breathes and he can't bear to be away from her. After making the h his, he only looks at her and would never even think about being with anyone else. This is the epitome of a villain who's only weakness is the h, so though he's the most diabolical "H" I've ever read about, I still found his devotion/passion/obsession for the h to be endearing and (in romance land) prefer that to a wishy washy H who cheats.

Also, the writing was smooth and hooked me instantly, so I love this series!!! Wish more authors had the guts to write about "true villains (who stay villainous) falling hard for the heroine" stories...I really am a sucker for the well-written ones. J Marie is one of the few authors alongside Anna Zaires who write beautifully and can successfully churn out "antagonistic H's fixated on the h" stories. Highly highly recommended for those who have a strong heart and love these kind of dark stories, esp. with obsessive villains.

The new version is even better than the original. The narrative is basically the same but with some fun additions and upgrades.

What an amazing first book by Jay Marie! I love dark books that don't pull any punches and this one definitely delivered. In Stolen we meet Jaden who gets abducted and thrust into the world of human trafficking. There are a lot of stories with a similar theme out there but, for me, this one was the one that didn't sugar coat the subject matter. It was raw, gritty, dirty and DARK.
Jaden may be my favorite heroine of all time. This is no damsel in distress. The girl has some major balls. Aside from that, I love her refreshing voice and her sense of humor. I could see hanging with Jaden. The male mc (the owner) is so deliciously and unapologetically dark, cruel and twisted.
I love Jay Marie's writing style. The plot kept me engaged and at the edge of my sit from beginning to end. Overall, this was a great beginning of the series!

Stolen doesn't really stand out in the genre of dark romance/ erotica. It's pretty similar to Captive in the Dark, except for the fact that the heroine in this novel is a total badass (which I really appreciated).

I may eventually finish the series, but I don't feel compelled to do so at the moment. Maybe when the fourth book comes out.

Nevertheless, I do recommend this novel, especially considering if you buy it part of the proceeds are given to an organization that helps the victims of human trafficking. It's really beautiful of Jay Marie to do that, God bless her.

Sex trafficking villain who meets his match in Jaden to whom he is so drawn as nothing matters except what he wants and that she yields to him while keeping her feistiness. Jaden can be over the top badass, yes, sometime less than cautious, but Darren warrants her push back, and in fact, thrives on it. A dark story with physical violence, sexual coercion (r@pe) and a match of wills and fighting prowess. I am on the edge with how this story will ultimately unfold. A true villain not antihero, and I can’t wait to read more.

This book kept me on my toes every step of reading. The suspense was awesome and the story itself was amazing. I look forward to reading J. Marie's 3rd book. I am left in suspense awaiting for her next book. I have never read books as I have J. Marie's that have kept my attention as her books have. I highly recommend that you read her book!

STOLEN is definitely NOT a typical dark romance story. More of a suspenseful page turner with the focus on human trafficking, rape, murder, physical and psychological abuse.
A dark, noncon read with a kickass heroine and a manipulative, abusive, evil monster.

I loved Jaden Wilder, she is a strong, feisty female who won't back down from a fight to get out of her current hell.

'He wanted to break me so bad; he wanted to prove that he was the victor [...] Well, that wasn't going to happen. I wasn't going to let him beat me at his own game.

And 'The Owner'. A hard, commanding, brutal, ... hot as hell man. Ah yes definitely hot. Hate that I liked him so much.

'I was the type of man who took what he wanted in life, whenever and however he wanted, and anyone who had the guts to get in my way didn't last very long. [...] I exerted my control and dominance over everything and everyone around me...'

The power play between the two main characters was incredible, intense and violent. The push and pull, the many attempts of The Owner to dominate Jaden, to get her to submit to her slave status and Jaden fighting him every time no matter how hard she would get punished for it later.

Stolen is a dark and violent but explosively hot, suspenseful read (with lots of triggers). Some parts were hard for me to read but I wanted to know what would happen to Jaden.
Would she surrender?
Escape and survive or die trying?

I am so so curious to see where this story will end up.

How can’t I said that I love the book but at the same time hated.

The story is strong and is about a world that is really tragic but real, is sad that this things happen in real life and are hard to read.

But this is fiction and is dark, is well executed. The story traps you from the begging. Every line you read is waiting to know what is Jaden to do and the reaction she is gonna get.

I have to say that the rape scenes were awful because is rape but are really well executed in this book.
This is the first book that I read of this author and she is engaging and knows how to keep the reader wanting more.

This is one of the books that stays with you, that left you thinking.

I can’t wait to know more about Jaden and “the owner”

Why has it taken me so long to read this book? Like seriously one of my friends should have known I’d love this book and tell me to read it lol

I read this in one sitting. Went to bed with my kindle and a bar of chocolate and devoured it- the chocolate and the story. I could not put my kindle down.

How amazing is Jaden? She wakes up in a cage and already she has her head screwed on. She was scared but didn’t show it. I absolutely loved how feisty and strong she was.

After that ending I’m so happy book two is already released so I can jump right into it. My mind is on a speeding train wondering what is going to happen next.

Be warned this is a dark read with plenty of triggers. Not for the faint of heart. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to read more.
