Every Tuesday night, a mysterious man named “Ito” visits Kyosuke, who is a prostitute, and talks to him about silly things until dawn. One day, he brings a briefcase full of money and tries to give it to Kyosuke, telling him that he wants him to quit his job and do something he truly wants to do, however…
Kuraka Sui brings forth a beautiful, dark story revolving around the gunsmoke and blood of the underworld. This is her very first BL, now in tankobon!! “Cage,” a story about an S&M school of domination and control, is also included.
This one is definitely worth reading if you're into Nakamura Asumiko, Ogawa Chise and Harada-sensei's works, especially the dark and twisted ones.
Anyway, I really still can't believe this is a debut from Kuraka-sensei. Can't wait to see the next BL work from this mangaka.
To be honest, Ito-san's cold gaze really gave me the creeps at first and the way he lavished Kyousuke-kun with money and brutally killed Kyousuke-kun's clients really chilled me to the bone. I thought this guy must be a psycho or sadist that loves mutilating people he loves or what. Turned out he isn't. :) And guess what, I found myself crying while reading and even cheering for their love as I was prepared myself too for tragic ending. The story is so well written and really intense that I was sooo completely drawn into its world and even startled a bit at the end of the book because I didn't realized I've already reached the last chapter, lol.
Simplemente me fascinó.
A shocking and fascinating piece of work that was an emotional roller coaster, so much so that trying to explain it, I do not know where to begin.I am worried that I may not be able to come across another piece of work that will surpass this in my whole life. It is a story of “recreation of love” about a man who was created as a “breathing killing machine” becomes a “human with feelings” by meeting a young boy.
reading this story we, the readers begin to understand the strength of the feeling of love and the enormity of love which cannot be manipulated or erased by anybody else.
I am sure that all those who read will be touched by the scene at the final stage of break of dawn. I burst into tears and my tears dried out. Being able to recollect this scene made me extremely happy as a reader but the author, Kuraka-sensei, has a continuing story of the two in the second volume for those greedy readers. However, I should not go on. As to what happens here on in, I would like a lot of people to feel the strength of love depicted in this story with their own eyes.
Kuraka-sensei said that she agonized over the story line. That is obvious. There is no way that a fascinating and moving story as this written meticulously that touches the heart of the readers can be written easily. I’m so lucky to have come across this work and also appreciate to be able to let my feelings out which allowed me to recover from the emptiness which occurred from being so moved by this story.
