Acting as a sequel to A Boy and His Corpse, this standalone story concerns teenage necromancer, Alan Chandler, as he wrestles (No pun intended) with the possibility of his undead federation including living wrestlers in its stable of combatants. But Alan and his band of corpses won't go down without a fight! Will the Undead Wrestling Federation become half corpse/half living wrestlers, or will Alan get his way and keep the UWF just that--undead. Find out in this short story of guts, glory, and braaaaains.
Richard B. Knight (The “B” stands for Brandon) teaches Language Arts during the day and writes fiction at night. He decided that he wanted to be a novelist back in the fourth grade. It was all quite spontaneous. Back then, his teacher asked all of the students what they wanted to be when they grew up, and while many students chose “doctor”, or “lawyer”, or “astronaut,” Richard, wanting to be funny, chose “drag queen garbage man”. It wasn’t until his peers starting reading off their choices that Richard decided that it would probably behoove him to write down another profession. He has stuck with “novelist” ever since.
Richard has a love of movies, video games, and comic books, and all three influences come through in his writing. You can find the website for his debut novel, The Darkness of the Womb, here: http://thedarknessofthewomb.com/. Richard loves making friends. Would you like to be one of them?
Honestly, I just picked up this one to complete my A-Z challenge. (I needed a "Q") ;).
Not a bad short. If you know anything about wrestling (I grew up watching it), it's actually a rather interesting concept. I wish it had actually been a novella length, because the subject matter was rather unique.
I was happy to get my zombie wrestling fix after reading A Boy and His Corpse. This sequel definitely gives you what you want. Zombie-on-Zombie wrestling and an update on the characters from the previous novel. Even in a short story Richard B. Knight is able to deliver on unique, creative, and original writing to give your mind something to chew on.
I'm always excited when Richard messages me about a new short story! He has an amazing ability to pack a huge punch into 20 or 30 pages. This story is no exception! He always manages to take a theme, and make it unique, which draws you in. This is another great addition to the paranormal/fantasy genre. I always look forward to more!
Enjoyed every second I ran through this story , I just want a whole book , I'd say just take the chance if it already caught your eye when you were browsing for books. To the author I just want him to know that I thought it kicked ass. There's no reason you can't continue ,please give at least this fan more and give me a whole like 400 page actual book ,that just picks up from where you stopped on this one. Preferably in the free section ,but if this makes itself into a novel I'll probably end up buying the eBook so please pump it out asap it left me wanting more .
