In the third book of the Montgomery Chronicles trilogy, the witches have almost gotten to the point of claiming Marcie Montgomery, at least since the Witch Test. If Janet Travis has anything to do with it, however, Marcie would be banished to the next universe before being publicly acknowledged as a Super Duper Witch.
Marcie doesn’t care about Janet’s antipathy; she has other things to worry about. Mike is dying and she thinks she’s the only one who can save him. Opie reveals herself to an unlikely ally. Dan’s assistant turns out to be a redhead with a body made for fooling around, and Marcie’s things are disappearing. Plus, she’s developing odd powers. She can view things remotely, control vortexes, and “feel” Dan. A good thing, too, because he’s disappeared. Just when Marcie was ready to tell him “the” secret, he ups and vanishes.
What’s a goddess to do?
Well, fight the vampires, the Brethren, and anyone else who thinks they’re going to hide Dan away. That includes Dan’s mother who has kept a secret all this time. So has Dan. He isn’t quite human. In fact, he’s the one thing she never considered. Oh, dear, how will that affect the baby she’s carrying?
I’m a writer who’s been privileged to have attained the New York Times and USA Today Bestseller Lists.
Although I've primarily written historical romance, I've also written contemporary romantic suspense, a murder mystery, and I'm having a wonderful time writing about a vampire who is being challenged by her new state of being. (The Montgomery Chronicles: The Fertile Vampire and The Reluctant Goddess coming March 12, 2015.)
I believe in the power of the individual, the magnificence of the human spirit, and always looking for the positive in any situation. I write about people who have been challenged by life itself but who win in the end.
Other than a quick laugh at the end, the ending was just ok. Not sure if it's me or the book but while it was good, there were so many loose ends that never got solved.
Really worth reading this series, like were the story line and the previous books went ,different point of view for your vampire interest. Will be following the author with interest along these lines.
Liked the world, the story, the characters, and the way the author managed to do to both the expected and still work in surprises. Needs a good editing round or two (possibly 3), or I'd have marked the series as 5 stars.
"Pranic, Pregnant, and Petrified" by Karen Ranney is the third novel in "The Montgomery Chronicles". Marcie just found out that she's pregnant. Any other time in her life she would have been ecstatic. But with a master vampire wanting her child, several organizations possibly gunning for her, and her former bodyguard drained beyond being able to be turned, she's feeling a bit emotional. Which is totally expected. Especially since she's not sure which of the two men she was with is the baby daddy. Can Marcie keep it together long enough to keep her long enough to forge the alliances she needs to keep her child safe? Overall, I really enjoy reading this series. Even though Marcie is a very powerful individual, she acknowledges her flaws and works on improving the circumstances of the events that have happened around her.
This was a good wrap up to the trilogy. I just wish that we would have got to read where Dan met his daughter. I thought that would have been sweet. I also hope that we get another trilogy where Marci and Dan find his sister, or his sister gets her own trilogy. I guess I am not ready to leave Marci's world.

Loved it! This is a little bit of an odd vamp series, but I have really liked it from the very first book. There are a few typos. Other than that, some of the descriptions of the rooms in the castle were a little bit more than I cared about.
Cute ending... I hope Ms Ranney will write more of this type of book.
Witches, weres, and evil vampires still run around trying to make use of our pranic, pregnant and petrified heroine. The humour is still strong and we wait with bated breath as truths are revealed and odd powers come to light. Dan comes into his own giving readers a very nice ending. Great reading.
It took me a while to get back into this story as I read far too many paranormal themes and the characters were a bit fuzzy at first. But it was a great story once I got on track. I wish this author had more paranormal tales to tell since I have very little interest in historical romances.
I really liked this series. It kept me glued to the story, waiting for the next and though I liked the ending, sad to see it end. As to why I liked it, well I pretty much like everything she writes and this was welcome surprise departure.
I really enjoyed the series The Montgomery Chronicles. Lots of action and adventure. I would enjoy another installment, but the last book ended the series well.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only way to describe this book.I really enjoyed the series .Recommended to all who want a interesting, cannot put it down read.jmj
