If you haven't read any of this author's prior works (which I hadn't) much or the story does not make much sense. The missing back story really impact this one. While it is supposed to be a "shifter" romance, it might as well have been an historical or contemporary romance. No shifter action happening, except during a sex scene-which I skipped. Do yourself a favor ans spend you valuable reading time on something eles.

2.5 Stars. Not bad, but unremarkable, Desirable had too much of the uninteresting stuff - instalove - and nowhere near enough of the interesting stuff - New Orleans and hints of bayou flavour. It looked for a minute there as though there was going to be some bestiality, so thank God we were spared that.

Natalya was a spoiled brat, equally ready to stomp her feet and have a hissy fit to get her way as she was inclined to flirt her way to a successful wish. She was an overindulged spoiled, entitled, rich, troublemaking brat. Right up until the moment she laid eyes on Lezare. The man who quickened her breath, her pulse and her tigress. The man who dared to turn her over his knee – and she didn’t doubt that he would for one moment.
Natalya had changed. Oh, she didn’t expect anyone to believe that. Not from the way she had acted in the past. Yet, she had gone to school, worked to quiet and control her temper and worked at a homeless shelter where she learned another lesson in humility. If there was one thing she longed for it was Lezare. The shifter who could tame her in an instant if he only tried. The mate that she believed she’d never have. Well, perhaps she’d not be welcomed at his home considering her past, but she was determined to attend the annual masquerade ball put on by the Arceneaux family year after year. She wouldn’t actually approach him – just to be near him would be enough… or so she tried to tell herself.
Lezare knew that Natalya was his mate. He didn’t expect to be able to claim her. That hellion had given herself a very bad name with his sisters and his extended family. But, still… if it were only possible he’d have her bonded claimed in a heartbeat.
There was a family connection in one of the older, sweet residents of the homeless shelter that Natalya volunteered at. As she learned more about Ms Claudette she knew that somehow she would need to bring Lezare to his relative and soon as Ms Claudette was fading fast. Events happen as they should and soon Natalya would have all the answers she’d ever need.
Desirable is a steamy, sexy romance between to strong, prideful and passionate shifters. It is also the beginning of the Arceneaux branch of shifters stories to be told. There are many more adventures for this family to embrace.

Sparks have fly between them in the past when she was still acting like a spoilt brat.
Now she just want to see him once again and what better moment as a ball masquerade?
But her volunteer work is getting in the way as is his family., but he doesn't want to let her go.

This story is filled with a LOT of world building. I hope it pays off in the rest of the series. As for the 2 MCs of this story, I'm not feeling their chemistry. I'm wondering if I missed their initial meeting in some other story.

The first look into the Arceneaux branch of the family and it does not disappoint. Gathering for the annual Escape weekend and Shifter Masquerade Ball we get to know the history behind the cousins labeled as black sheep. Some of our favorite shifter couples join the party adding some exciting drama and keeping us up to date on their lives. Lazare struggles with keeping to traditions and following his heart encountering some unexpected twists and turns. You will never guess his love interest and how said tiger has changed her life. Another well written story sure to capture your attention and emotions making you fall in love with the black sheep. Ms. Thorne threw in some interesting twists leaving you wondering what she is plotting for our future friends and wishing it was time to start the next adventure. Well written, great characters and easy to read. Just what you would expect from our favorite author.

Elle Throne has done a fantastic job continuing her shifter serious in Desirable. This is the first book in her new series Only After Dark which features the Louisiana shifters, the Arceneaux white tigers. There are of course characters from each of her other shifter series Shifters Forever, Never After Dark, Always After Dark, and Shifters Forever After. It's not necessary to have read the other series first but it will definitely help give the reader a better understanding of the characters.

Lezare is one white tiger shifter you won't soon forget! He's smooth, sexy and totally a southern gentleman who knows what he wants. More correctly, who he wants. His home is a beautiful and lush plantation where he & his sisters host their annual Escape weekend, a huge shifter party culminating with a fabulous masquerade ball. I loved that Elle brought so many characters from her other books together in this wonderful new story of Lezare & Natalya. Elle Thorne has brought another sizzling story to life for her shifter-hungry fans. I am delighted to give it 5 roaring-good stars!

Loved their story. It was sweet and heartbreaking for both of these characters. Both think the other one doesnt want them. It was a short fast read and I wanted more I sorta thought their getting together would have been a little more explosive. Lezare was so very intriguing and really sexy and kinda cute with all his information and stories he had. Natalya used to be a shrew until she grew up and out of it. I even understand why she was the way she was. She's changed into a good woman...very sweet woman. Enjoyed reading their story. :) Can't WAIT for more!

Another great story by Ms. Thorne. I don't know how she keeps all these characters in order. The characters she comes up with are amazing, sexy, strong and complex in their own stories but to have all these different characters and books interconnected yet still for the most part stand alone stories, it's just amazing.
This is a good start to what looks to be a very good series. The story is exciting and hot. I eagerly await the next book in the series.

This was a surprising book. I really liked getting to know more of the family. And...getting to see another side of Natalya. This book had a lot of growth and forgiveness, emotions and a couple of hints to get you interested in the next books. Pulls you in and then lets you off, even when you don't necessarily want to get off the ride. Another book that's great to read anytime or where. Fun, tugs the emotions some, and a good HEA. Ready for more!!! Enjoy!

OMG, this book had me hooked from the first paragraph. I especially liked how the story line pulled you with its edge of your seat action and suspense with a mix of sexy thrown in. I absolutely love how intricate the love and family hierarchy was told. This will be added to my favorite list!
