I’m putting all of my cards on the table with Blue. And yes, I do realize that I can’t seem to stop these irrational (and slightly impure!) thoughts about Max—Max, my best friend. And I know it’s a risk. You’re right! And I’ll probably never make a move but I so wish that I could get just one kiss from those lips…maybe that would stop the madness once and for all. Anyway, that’s not likely so… Regardless, I’m gonna meet THE one. If Blue never shows up, I’m on a mission to find my Mr. Right and this time I won’t stop until I do. Cross your fingers and say a prayer for me, okay?
The “Single Wide Female” books are written for every woman out there who has struggled with their weight, self-esteem and any number of issues that we all face as we work to become the best versions of ourselves that we can be.
They are meant to be light-hearted and fun, but I do hope that they will inspire you to live your life to the fullest, loving yourself completely as you do so.
I found the whole book and the interactions between the characters to be stilted. I figured out the "secret" immediately as well.
While I can identify with the heroine on all the online dating catastrophes, I just found the book lacking. There were no surprises. No sizzle. I wanted to like it but it just didn't work for me.
This is the ending that we should have gotten for the Bucket List series! However, my enjoyment of the book was diminished by the manipulation that Max kept doing and Sammy's insistence that she date other guys rather than just confronting Max and telling him her real feelings. And now, I suffer through another series of Sammy's antics...at least the books are longer now!
I have enjoyed all of this series so far. There is some of me in it, so It makes me think about how I react to situations and people. I especially enjoy the humor in her books and if you want a light, quick read you have found them.
