Much like All About the Bear, my feelings towards Mating Dance are largely disappointment. I had not expected much after the first book, but I had been hoping for something more. Instead, I enjoy this one less than the first.
Once again, I feel as though nothing really happened with this one. It could have been a cute story, but there was never any real growth and what action occurred happened outside of what we were reading. Again, it was rather flat.
The only real positive is that it took me hardly any time to read this one.
Love over honeybuns These bears keep getting sweeter and sweeter. The author put a brand new spin to the occupation of lawyer when she penned this story. These two are all about family and peace to enjoy life and when they finally meet look out for the instant sizzle. This book was such a great read, especially when the boys had to go be boys. I guess even a grizzly enjoys their fun. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in Grizzly Cove.
So this book was even more insta-love then the first one. At least with Nell and Brody, they had been talking (at least a tiny bit) before the story starts. With Tom and Ashley, the start of their story is their first time meeting/talking, and the entire thing is only over 3 days.
The most annoying thing IMO was that Tom kept thinking to himself that he didn't want to rush her, but after 2 dates (and less than 72 hours) he proposes. The author could have easily had more time pass - like instead of "do you want to have dinner with me in like 2 hours" it could have been the next day. I'm not even talking about adding more scenes, just saying that the scenes took place farther apart from each othere.
“I should’ve come into the bakery a lot sooner” Mating Dance Book #2 (Grizzly Cove) Bianca D’Arc
Tom Masdan is the one and only Lawyer in Grizzly Cove Washington and he likes it that way. When his army bud John came up with the hair brain idea to invite other bear shifters to live in a community in hopes of attracting prospective mates under the guise of being artist there was some skepticism. When they started getting inquiries and John’s little idea took off it was decided Tom would vet all applications of business owners who wanted in. They had to be very careful with any of the humans allowed to open a shop in their little piece of the world. So when the Baker sisters submitted their application for a Bakery it was Tom who vetted the sisters. Nell, Ashley and Tina Baker were enjoying their new life in Grizzly Cove and Nell the oldest found herself mated to the Sheriff. Since the sisters were human John delegated the job of talking to Ashley and Tina to Tom. He had to make sure they would not let out the little towns secret that all the inhabitants were shifter. Tom had never stepped foot into the little Bakery until now. It was before dawn but he knew he would find Ashley there since she did the first shift. So when Mr. Tom Masdan entered the bakery he got the jolt of his life. His bear was very much aware of Ashley and turned the man into a bumbling idiot. Cutest thing ever. When he finally spit out the purpose of his visit Ashley made a comment and that’s when she found out that Tom knew of her troubled past. Now we all know that when a shifter finds his true mate his beast knows immediately and wants to jump its mate and claim her, but the man (human side) wants to take it slow not to scare her off. Tom and his bear suspected Ashley was their mate but time would tell. Grizzly Cove is turning out to be cute, sweet and a deliciously written light hearted romance series. I love it. I just love the simplicity of the read. Sometimes we just need sweet with a tad of action and the females not fighting their feelings around every corner, and the shifters tearing people’s heads of. Anyone who picks up this little series will totally enjoy it. It’s just fun. It’s a perfect short read when you’re waiting for another release. I can’t wait for Night Shift Book #3 which releases December 22nd. Mine is already preordered. Zak and Tina’s story, this should be really interesting seriously. Bianca 5* lady and keep them coming.
Mating dance was very short but there was a charm into it that I couldn't give less than 4 stars. There were sure sensuality, sexuality but it wasn't full mode. The story short and instant falling in love but the author really kept a reminder about Beings that have that kind of instant mating spot on. Men being more than human but are doing unexpected things. Story that give some kind of opening for more to come with others characters which would be in my list to read. I have to admit I didn't read the 1st book since I don't have it. Do I intend to go back and read the 1st? Not really because I know the result but the next one!! Yeah I will and I have to because bloodletter? Hell I need to know more.
Ok this is the second book about the sister of the heroine from the last book and the town lawyer
- I liked how the hero reacted when he first met the heroine
- The heroine got a misunderstood past but it was nothing to be so gloomy about just f*** people, like seriously it always happen people don't know the full story and they prosecute the good guy and hail the bad guy
- To tell the truth I don't remember much about this because I'm reviewing it after I finished it couple of months ago and after 10s of books
Ashley is on the run from a devastating event in her past, desperate to hide out where nobody can find her. After given an opportunity to open up a bakery in the town of Grizzly Cove with her sisters, they not only set up shop, but quickly discover that all is not as it seems. And, sometimes, secrets catch up to you. When Tom, the town’s only lawyer comes to her rescue, it would appear that sometimes, all it takes is for a special someone to believe in you, to make all the pain disappear. After having stayed clear of the three human women since they arrived in town, Tom is beginning to wonder why it took him so long to check them out in person, especially when his bear stands up and takes notice of one in particular. Now all he has to do is convince her she’s all his. Will her secrets keep them apart? Or will it be the catalyst that brings them together?
Tom Masdan was the one and only lawyer in Grizzly Cove, Washington, and he liked it that way.
Ashley, the middle sister of the bakery of three human females had a sorted past. She just wanted to start over. She liked how simple the legal paperwork was by the only lawyer in town. She hadn't met him yet, wondered why too. It seemed meeting him would happen one day, hopefully soon. Big John was the Alpha of this bear town. It seemed he wanted Tom to meet with Ashley. Upon walking into the bakery, Tom was strongly attracted to Ashley. He set up a date for the next day. Ashley quickly accepted.Tom did an extensive background on all the sisters before they got here. He knew of her past. She was relieved by this. She was strongly attracted to him too.
I purchased Mating Dance as part of an anthology by Bianca D'Arc.
In Mating Dance, Tom the town lawyer in Grizzly Cove is asked to speak to Ashley Baker about keeping the secret that the two is mostly bear shifters. Ashley agrees as she finds Tom exciting and very attractive. Tom realizes that Ashley is his mate.
When trouble from Ashley's past comes calling at the bakery, Tom and his bear friends join together to solve her problem and protect her, as she is now part of their clan. This is a sweet romance where Ashley and Tom do a Mating Dance to figure out they belong together. I loved another great shifter romance that is fast, hot and sweet too.
Tom Masdan: lawyer to Grizzly Cove; in charge of vetting applicants for residency/businesses; appointed to make sure younger Baker sisters will keep their secret; meets Ashley Baker for the first time, and his inner Bear sits up...
Ashley Baker: trained as lawyer, but railroaded in New York, when given a high profile divorce case, and fellow new lawyer sabotaged her, leading to scandal and firing; she joined sisters in bakery business, and pulls the 4am shift, to start the baking off...
Instant attraction between the two...

This book had the potential to be really good. I liked the premise and the characters but it all fell flat when the main resolution to the suspense happened essentially off camera. The story alternated POVs between the 2 main characters and when the big moment happened we had the POV of the character who wasn't there. It would be like if this was a detective novel and when they finally reveal who the killer is we have the POV of the off duty detective who only gets told about the reveal after the fact.
This story was sooooo funny. I was cracking ☝ up so much!!! I could somehow imagined that Ashley had a contagious laugh. It was very romantic and I love reading this book. I recommend this book but you need to Freed book number one to get the story & continue it. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Series: Tales of the Were: Grizzly Cove #2 Rating: 3 stars - I liked it
This was another quick and fun story. Tom and Ashley’s relationship was a very fast fated mates story, but like the previous book, was still enjoyable. I like how hard and fast these bears fall for their mates and while there isn’t a lot of plot or world development, these books are still fun to read.
Still a sweet, down to earth novella, with a little bit more drama then the first. It is a shifter romance, but has the small town love story. While some may complain it wasn’t very eventful, sometimes we need stories like that. But I have a feeling, the storyline for this series will develop a more complicated world.
Ashley is Nell’s sister and works in the bakery in the early morning. Ashley and Tina knew a out bear shifters before Nell, but Tom, the town lawyer, needs to make sure that they will keep the secret. Tom and Ashley fall for each other.
A good book to begin to try and understand the shifter bear way of life. It would be amazing to see shifter bears in action to see how they fit within their community with human rights.
