All it takes is one person to put their trust and faith into you, you can survive. Astonished to even think that somewhere out there a kind of lecturer as good and kind as Yonathan exists. And also the friendship, the bond, the struggle, the life, everything proved to be more than just a university love story, it proved to be how humans interdepend and live together. I love the way the story focuses more than just Tigist and Abel’s love story but of Yonathans undying fight for Abel Libling’s undying fight along her husband, Eskender’s love and commitment to his friend, Samson’s odd way of showing love, Debert’s affection less sense of friendship, everything interrelates, everything matters in its own way and everything is about love in a bigger picture.
This book reminded me of my soon left campus life, it gave me a weird sense of nostalgia I have never experienced before. A feeling of being there but also not being there, a feeling of a memory that if too close yet to distant. It is a masterpiece, I thank the hands that wrote and the mind that thought.
