Three Magic Words

Rate this book
"In the pages of this book, you will learn of the unlimited power that is yours. You will learn how you can turn this power to work for you, here on earth, to make your life majestic and overflowing with good. This is not a religion or a sect or a society. In its entirety it is a series of essays aimed at revealing to you your power over all things. You will learn that there is only one mover in all creation and that mover is thought. You will learn that there is only one creator and that creator is the Universal Subconscious Mind, or God. You will learn that this creator creates for you exactly what you think, and you will be shown how you can control your thoughts, not only to obtain answers to your problems but to create in your experience exactly what you desire. You will not do this in a day or a week or even a month; but do it you will if you keep heart and keep faith. It requires only a few minutes of your time each day, a few minutes that will reward you with greater vistas in life, greater hope and promise than has ever been dreamed. There is a cause! There is a reason! There is a power greater than you are, which you are a part of, which you can use to make your life good and great and vigorous and full of abundance! If thou canst but believe; All things are possible to him who believes." - Uell Andersen

Three Magic Words is a thought-provoking, deeply spiritual and metaphysical book which is worth reading if you are open to expanding your numinous horizons. It will challenge and push you to explore spiritual paths that you perhaps have never previously contemplated. However, I must honestly say that I would not recommend Three Magic Words to everyone as a must-read. It is not the easiest book to read as it does not flow seamlessly, especially in the beginning. I found that I needed a few chapters to get used to Andersen's writing style. In fact, I actually started to read Three Magic Words a year ago and then stopped after the first chapter. On the second go around I persevered and was rewarded by making it to the end and ultimately learning the three magic words. Furthermore, I found the writing in Three Magic Words quite dogmatic and preachy, albeit lyrically poetic at times. Andersen shares interesting, profound wisdom as incontrovertible truths. However, much of the "proof" he offers to support these ideas is anecdotal and unscientific. Another slightly off-putting aspect of Three Magic Words is that Andersen has very rigid, conservative views on certain topics, such as love and healthy living, which I do not fully agree with. For instance, he makes it clear that, from his perspective, marriage and love is only between a man and woman which I personally find quite close-minded and counter to the accepting, tolerant concept of the Universal Subconscious Mind that he teaches. Nevertheless, in spite of these minor drawbacks I greatly appreciated having my spiritual boundaries challenged by Andersen’s ideas. What I enjoyed most of all from Three Magic Words were the meditations at the end of each chapter, especially the first one, which I find very beautiful. Indeed, I intend to refer to these meditations from time to time in the future.

My favoite religious / spiritual book of all time. I've purchased and given away many copies.
"What happened next"? There is really no set of commandments that works for everyone...you need to write your own. Think about what is likely to happen based on your decisions. Only then can you do your best to do the right thing. Gets easier as you get older and wiser and have seen what happened to others based on someone's decision. If you cause someone pain make it up to them. There is almost always a way to do this. Blindly following any kind of scripture will get you in trouble but being able to ask, "what happens next" has kept me from hurting people who hurt me all the time.

This book changed me forever! It doesn't really matter to me if the facts in this particular volume are 'true' or 'false' as the book resonates with timeless truths.

My friends' father gave this book to him and later he gave the book to me at a very existentially difficult time in my life. This book raised even more questions but answered enough of the ones I had in order to soothe me in very troubled times. It is possible that this book may have saved my life.

U.S.A. writes with an uncommon tenderness and love for the reader. Just reading the words make me feel like someone with empathy and unquestioning love was reaching out to comfort me, even if across from an entirely different location through spacetime. This book is a triumph of personal empowerment teaching the reader about their inherent and unlimited agency, their ability to act in the world to create the circumstances that they wish for.

This is an amazing book that will challenge the foregone conclusions of those who feel like the pinball of a pinball machine. The pinball has no agency. The pinball is not empowered to make changes to its circumstances. The pinball is at the mercy and whim of the machine, powerless to do anything about its situation.

Instead, the reader is shown that in this metaphor they are not just the pinball but actually they are the pinball machine and the pinball machine's player, and they have the final say on everything with a greater degree of agency than they probably have ever imagined since being a very small child.

I love my good friend for quite a number of reasons. Giving me this book was one of them.

Again, his father gave it to him, he gave it to me, and now I give it to you in the spirit of unconditional love and compassion.

The amount of contradictions found within this book is staggering! A strange mixture of New Thought's optimism and power and the fatalism of the Eastern traditions. The author thinks that he could impose his beliefs as if they were axiomatic and approved by everyone. Throughout most of the issues discussed, he appears to resolve one issue only to raise another in its place and keep your mind confused and unsatisfied.

I thank this book for challenging my thoughts and beliefs. It opened up my world to understanding life and the power within me in a different manner. Truly an empowering book! I Am...

We must truly be careful of our thoughts and words! We are all of the same spirit and must come to treat each other as brothers and sisters, not of blood but of humanity!

Oh my word this book is just one run-on, repetitive sentence. I made it through two chapters. Barely.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this - it did not feel like a task at all. The author does such a good job at making you feel comforted whilst reading.

This is definitely one of those books that will subconsciously change the way I go about life without me realizing it further down the line on top of the immediate conscious changes I’ve already experienced right now.

He covered so many points that I really wanted to read about, but he also touched on a concept that I feel lucky to be able to understand due to a very specific scenario that happened in my own life. I have only ever heard another human talk about it maybe once or twice ever, and I think had I been another person, I would really be able to grasp the significance of it, but to read about it really took the book up a level for me which was a nice bonus.

He has really changed the way I think about consciousness as well. It’s always interesting to hear different takes on what we’re part of, but there seems to be an underlying agreement to them all, so when you read a well written book on the subject such as this, it just adds nicely to your overall perspective. He does make a claim specifically about reincarnation saying it absolutely cannot be true - which I think is a stretch to say… who can actually say they know for sure? Regardless, I really like his take on it.

It’s hard to review this one without spoiling the joy of reading it, but I would definitely recommend this to someone interested in metaphysics style books.

A few years ago, I read this book cover-to-cover, after skipping to the end to find the magic.
Perusing it this time, I'm pulling meaningful passages from the book that are helpful by illuminating certain issues that arise. Recently, "The Spiritual Law of Cause and Effect" and "Do Not Suffer Remorse" have come to mind. There was a time when I was a grand champion of beating myself up for errors I had previously made. Now, I've forgotten most of them, but new ones remind me of my own advice, "Let go of the pain, keep the lesson."
Quoting the author here:
"...every error in your life is for the purpose of revealing truth to you and not to stultify your divinity in shame and remorse and fear." USA

I have been a seeker for a very long time. So there is nothing “new” to me here. But the chapter on faith I thought was worth reading more than any other. It put faith in a new light. I certainly didn’t ever look at fear as a form of faith. Faith is working all the time. It is another way of saying law of assumption or law of attraction or power of thoughts or beliefs. It takes a lot for me to go whoa at this point on my journey but this chapter did. And so maybe that chapter will rock you or another one instead…regardless I thought it was time well spent. I would say if you are interested in this topic take the time. You are bound to learn something or reinforce what you already know.

I've probably read this book at least six times & I'm currently reading it again. It's one of those rare books that you get something different & amazing with every read. So many nuggets of info & helpful jewels.
It's not a book one can read in one sitting. It's a read a paragraph & ponder book. I love those kinds of books! Each chapter has a meditation after it & I find it helpful to listen to them from an audio (youtube) as well.
Wayne Dyer (my favorite author of all time!) recommended this book & I couldn't agree more!

Loved it but...

This book was unequivocally amazing. A very meaty and dense read. I definitely will revisit it in the future to get an even better understanding of the concepts presented. Though it was equal parts eye-opening, thought-provoking and entertaining, the abundance of typos were truly nerve-wrecking. Literally the most I’ve ever encountered in one book. All-in-all, a solid read! I highly recommend it! Special thanks to Nero Knowledge on YouTube for the recommendation. I am forever changed!

As a philosopher and theologian, this book spoke to all I believe and know to be true but have rarely found clearly expressed. The guidance here is spiritual, and comes from the primary sources of various religions rather than from the doctrine. An intellectual read and not for the faint of heart, but potentially life changing.

Nothing new or magical to read here

The title is both misleading and at the same time it is the same spiel that is written in hundreds of New Age books since New Age and spiritual books have been written. A Course In Miracles or a Return to Love is more thorough and the Power of Now is much more to the point.

Great if you're trying to fall asleep. Seriously. Had this ebook for 9 months and each time my mind is racing I just open it and I'm sleeping within 5 minutes.

I've made it 24 pages in. Lol.

Three Magic words? More like unnecessary amount of spiritual stuff said in unnecessarily complicated way?
