It has been quite awhile since I've felt so connected to a character as I did with Autumn from this book. She's an introvert, a self-proclaimed nerd, and not really a big fan of love because of her past experience and that pretty much sums me up. But, then the unexpected happens and he goes by the name of Ajay. Ajay also doesn't believe in love and basically doesn't think there is one woman that could tame him for an extended period of time.

"Everyone had his or her own definition of what it meant to fall in love, but for Autumn, falling in love meant entrusting that person with every single part of you. Knowing that once someone learned details about your past that impacted the person you are, the individual would stay with you and love you that much harder."

Falling For Autumn isn't your typical romance. The main characters have flaws, baggage from their childhoods and past relationships, and vulnerabilities which made them seem realistic and relatable. Green does an excellent job in setting up the storyline, in using the secondary characters, and there's just enough sensuality and heat (wait until the alley scene) which balances out the love and romance. Fighting For Autumn has set the bar high for the rest of the books in the romance genre that I will read this year.

Such a tender and sensual journey into love, the forever kind, the unexpected, and all dreams fulfilling kind.
This journey between Ajay and Autumn takes its time, the book covers nearly a year's time, as they prepare their sibling's wedding. There are random meetings, dates that were not planned, heated moments in most unexpected places, movie nights at home. Slowly, but surely, they get to know each other, they learn to trust each other, they see each other like no one else does, and share some painful, deep things from their pasts, that has molded them to be the people they are today.
The characters are all highly likable, charismatic, and charming. I like this series, because the stories have enough drama and life built into them, that there's no need for angst in between the characters.
The time they take to move from acquaintances to friends, to something more is delicate, admirable, and enthralling. There's something very glamorous in the life they live, but it is not over the top, just suits them well.
I am completely enamored with Ajay and Autumn, I didn't want the story to end. I hope there's more to come in this enticing and sensual series

Whew (fans self) I can see why multiple reviews mention a certain scene in an alley...
Didn't 100% click with me, but i really enjoyed how this didn't follow the standard romance arc and instead slowly opened up over many months of the characters meeting and acknowledging their attraction but being careful not to take the leap before they were truly ready. It broke the usual patterns in some ways that were nicely true to the characters.

I love it!

I love it! I love it! Two emotionally scarred souls find one another and it's explosive. Autumn and Ajay may not get along at first but their chemistry is off the charts from beginning to end. I love their openness, honesty and you get a little emotional when it comes to their past hurts. A beautiful story well written.

Wow

The Dupree girls have gone through so much! To read Autumn’s story gave so much understanding into why she was the way she was. Ajay also had a tragic childhood but for them both to retain their sanity and become who they were as adults was amazing. Their love brought tears to my eyes.

Complicated Love

Autumn was an overthinker, Ajay was stuck on his past, together they became what the other needed all along. Great story

Sweet and steamy.

Overall, it didn't super hook me nor did I really connect with the characters, but it was a fun story, and a scene involving a fire escape staircase was unexpected and hot.

A great slow burn. The tension between Autumn and Ajay was well done. The layers to their burgeoning relationship was real and didn’t feel forced. Good low angst read.

Great book. Autumn Dupree is a realist about love and weddings. She is paired with Ajay Reed at her sister's wedding. Ajay is also guarding his heart. The two of them can't deny the feelings that are awakened when they are around each other. Everyone around them notices the sizzle between them. It's up to them to decide if they're willing to take that leap of faith and explore what's between them.
I love these two; they're honest about their feelings yet willing to try love again.

Autumn

So good I'm not sure which story is my favorite anymore. Falling for Autumn is definitely high up on the list. Wow it's amazing how we always judge a person from their outward appearance when we don't truly know who the are as a person. We all have so many layers! When we find the right person who doesn't mind pulling each later back to discover the real us, it's simply amazing. Great story.

So realistic.

This book is beautiful. Ajay and Autumn are two broken souls who find comfort in each other. They think they are not made for each other but boy are the wrong. They have endured tragedy in their young lives, but still find love. It's steamy, sweet and funny. A must read.

Falling For Autumn

I really enjoyed this book and finished it quickly. You get the conclusion of Winter and Taheim's story and Autumn and Ajay's story as they fall in love.

Between Ajay Reed and Autumn Dupree as children they were sad, homeless, mocked, shamed, and embarrassed. As adults they have decided to never let anyone in with the same values and views they have the perfect friendship.
The journey to finding themselves was spellbinding as they navigated rough waters. Well written vivid to the point you can see the facial expressions on their face as you read. I look forward to reading Summer’s story, reconnecting with Winter, Taheim, Autumn, Ajay, Jaleen and Danni.
