K.C. Falls' new romantic adventure is the story of a wounded warrior whose love for a woman is tainted by the past and threatened by the present. When his loyalty calls him back to pay old debts, his bravery is tested in ways even fiercest combat could not equal.

A Driven Hero: Part One

I married a man with peculiar taste in whores. I didn't see it coming.
I was a shattered survivor. I didn't trust myself or anyone else.

Then I met a man who needed my trust as much as I needed his.
His subtle limp was not the only scar he bore.

Finding myself naked beside him was inevitable. The strength I found there revitalized me. The soul-deep longing he inspired brought me back to life. His penetrating wounds were a gift that only I was allowed to share.

He taught me how much loyalty costs.

This is a five-chili hot steamy military romance meant for adults. This book is part one of a trilogy of short and sexy reads and ends in a cliffhanger.

A Driven Hero by K.C. Falls
Same book as 'Surviving Me'

*Note#1: I had 'Surviving Me' on my GR shelf & in my kindle. When I opened it to read on my kindle it showed up on GR as 'A Driven Hero'. The books need to be merged on the author's GR page as one book & needs to be fixed on Amazon. See note 3 below.

Genres; Adult, Contemporary, Romance
3.5 Stars

Part 1 of a 3 part trilogy serial.
I liked it.

Review ⤵

The synopsis is a bit misleading & this story is better than what it portrays.
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I truly enjoyed it. I don't normally care for serials but I will try to read the other 2 parts of this story in the near future.

I know for a lot of readers 150 or so pages is considered a short read. Well, this one is written so well and the pace is so perfect you will think you read a 50 page short. The characters are very interesting. The beginning truly setup Trina's life in such a way you connect with her very quickly.

It takes awhile for the hero to come in, but once he does the sparks are hot and the romance is sweet, sexy and steamy. They really connect, and you really like them both.

My problem was the angst brought in towards the end. Gotta have a reason to make a book 2 and probably a book 3. Really should just be a full novel of maybe 300 pages, but it's not. And while I don't like that, at least Ms. Falls gives us a HFN.
Hopefully the other books in this serial aren't ridiculously priced and I will be able to pick them up quickly.

*Note #2: My kindle notes & highlights show up under 'A Driven Hero'.

*Note #3: This book is listed on Amazon as 'Surviving Me', but when you open it on your kindle it changes to 'A Driven Hero' on GR. Yet, if you search for 'A Driven Hero' on Amazon 'Surviving Me' is what shows up. Very, VERY, confusing. This problem needs to be addressed by both sites.

What a start to a new series

I'm a fan of K. C. Falls from a Tear if the billionaire series. I figured. A war hero series was right up my alley.

May contain spoilers --------

I thought I was mistaken at first because Trina marries Sal and he drives a limo for her company after losing a job, until things end the marriage abruptly and she meets the sexy as hell former military man Reggie who propositions her to join his limo company.

There are sparks and chemistry like you won't believe. Trina and Reggie are explosive and made for each other until something happens to threaten their happiness.

Will Reggie and Trina work through the incident that claims his memory of Trina? Can they figure things out?

Wow! Wonderful beginning!!

This is a special kind of book. The hero and heroine are perfect for each other. Lots of Love and adventure. This is a love story with an edge. Can't wait for the next part. Trina and Reggie are great characters and they are just getting started. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It was a chore to read.

I chose this rating because the characters don't appear to be fleshed out, at least to me. There's unnecessary and boring parts that don't relate well with the rest of the story. It doesn't read like its well thought out. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone.

Who Is Your Driver

This a story about a small limousine company and the people who run it, a family. Sadly, it is a great tale, and too short. Where we could have some story line, we have intense sex. I want more!

Not really sure

There are too many holes open and I don't feel like buying six or more books to see an ending to a mess. I realize I am being harsh but it started great and near the middle went off the board.

This was really fast paced and because of it I had a hard time connecting with the characters. There are some good moments in the book like the parking lot scene.
