Piper thinks Owen Vincent is a tool. Once they finish up with their internship she never wants to see him again.
Piper James’ first year at Whitney Briggs is starting off great, new friends, a potential sorority, and plenty of guys to choose from. Once she secures a spot in Alpha Chi, she’ll have the greatest freshman year on record.
But it just takes one look at the Alpha Chi “hit list” of things she needs to do to get in and she know there’s trouble—and trouble’s name is Owen Vincent.
Taming a player sounds impossible. Owen is the only player she knows and he certainly fits the bill, cocky, too many notches to count on his bedpost, and an aversion to relationships.
Making Owen believe she wants him is pretty low, even if this entire fling is just a means to an end. But now she can’t stop thinking about him. Yeah, he thinks he’s God’s gift to women, but now a part of her is kind of starting to agree. Girls are still dripping all over him like honey. Piper thinks there’s no way he’d be interested in a commitment with her. Maybe Alpha Chi isn’t what she wants. Maybe it’s Owen?
It’s a brand new year at Whitney Briggs and things are about to get wild.

As I continue reading this series I stand by what I said earlier. This is definitely a guilty pleasure series. It's not the best but yet I can't stop wanting to read the next in the series. In this one we have Piper and Owen. Piper was okay. I liked how she finally stood up for herself against the sorority. I'm glad that I never wanted that for myself. I felt bad for Owen. I can't imagine having a family like that. It sucked that they treated him like that after what his sister did. Thankfully in the end he found someone and was happy.
I love this series, each one is interconnected to previous characters and layer upon layer of story is added.
Piper craves acceptance, whether it's from people whose opinions shouldn't count makes no difference. And she will do whatever it takes to get into the sorority of her choice. When she finds out she needs to play Owen, who's one hot player, she goes along with it. Whatever it takes right?
Owen keeps running into Piper. She reminds him of his sister who is now in jail. She hurt a ton of people in the previous books and ended up killing one of them. Part of her twisted reasoning was to gain acceptance by these same shallow girls. Owen doesn't want that for Piper.
But who is playing whom? There are some nasty things going on in the sorority and outing the worst offenders will have repercussions for both Piper and Owen. Will the connection they share be strong enough when just about every obstacle is put in their way?
I'll start by saying the reason it took so long to read this book was because I was on holiday. Owen and piper story took me a while to get into it all because I felt it was about piper trying to get into her alpha chi group at school but once it became about both of the characters and owen was involved it started to enjoy the book more. There was up and down moments which made me happy and sad but I was happy in the end and happy to still read about all the past characters. xx
3.5 stars cute story. Owen was a little too sensitive for my liking but I guess we have been branded into liking the alpha possessive ones and think maybe Owen's sensitive ways are a turn off at times. This reminds me of a certain lover boy turned into a mangina at the end.
Piper and Owen, these two are adorable together. Piper usually shy actually came out of her comfort zone and stood up for herself, about time. I understand Piper’s character. She feels like she is not good enough and just wants to be accepted by everyone. She lives to please others. I did like to see a male character who was not a dick. He had a sensitive side and showed it. That was really nice to see and definitely something that Piper deserved.
I've always love going back to Whitney Briggs it's likes reunion with old friends. I love seeing how the other couples come in out. Piper and Owen story was amazing. I just loved these two. Yes they both had their secrets but in the end I love how everything worked out for the best.
It's safe to say that Owen is a boob man, "my hands drift to her waist, higher still until I’m cupping the girls. “I’m going to kiss you right there.” I like when a couple can just hang out together and be totally happy, "an hour drifts by as we trade kisses, take turns dipping our tongues into one another’s mouths, watching TV while hanging out. We both keep our shirts off, me bare chested while she plays with my nipple ring, outlines my tats with her tongue while I tell her the story behind each one. But I don’t dare take off her bra." I enjoyed this book I loved Owen.
Have read a few of Addison Moore's books and loved them!! Wild Kisses!! Was a bit slow to start off for me, but half way through, it got going and l enjoyed it!! Awesome ending!! Will continue to read more of Addison Moore's books!!
This seventh instalment to the 3:am Kisses series shows off some wonderfully formulaic writing, loaded down with predictable, problematic, & slightly puritanical repetitions to anyone vaguely familiar with the series.
What does this book bring to the series that the others lacked? Terrible sex scenes. All… *checks notes* two & a half of them.
Firstly. Dimples. Are Not. That Common. There’s at LEAST one main character in each book with dimples. In the first three books, dealing with siblings? Maybe that one family all has them. Sure. Okay. More than 7 of any given group of 14 people having dimples? Unless they’re ALL related… Nope.
Secondly. She’s always a naïve, Innocent, Virginal person with A Sad Past™️. Complete with Male relatives frothing at the bit to “protect her virtue”. Fuck off with that buuuuullllll Shiiiiiit. Oh it gets worse! These young people n their late teens, very early twenties, often the chick’s first relationship… it’s all tied up in a neat little “she found Mr. Right so they’ll be Together Forever™️”. Cause that’s not deeply concerning. Sure.
Thirdly. He’s always a Womaniser who needs to be “drawn out of the darkness” & freakin’ “saved” by this virginal little girl who is somehow magically different because she’s “so pure”. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck ooooofffffffff. In this particular case, the guy is a stripper who’s been consensually intimate with people he’s stripped for. There’s no shame in sex work. There’s no shame in stripping. Especially if it keeps you alive. Demonising it in books like this doesn’t help Anyone.
Fourthly. The idea that virginal women need to save wayward men who have no self control is terrifying in its implications. One person with no experience of what their partner has lived cannot fulfil all their needs, all the time. The idea that a guy needs to be redeemed in the eyes of someone who cannot possibly understand what he was doing, or why, is deeply upsetting. Screwing around isn’t inherently bad. There’s no “saving” that needs to occur. That’s a hell of a burden to foist on young women. “Go find a guy. If he’s sexually experienced, get on your high horse & make him beg your forgiveness for doing absolutely nothing wrong; you must save him from himself & this evil sex business”. Nope. Nuh-uh. Baaaaaad message.
Fifthly. Heterosexual Coitus need not be this painful thing… if you bother to do a bunch of foreplay. Get her off with your tongue BEFORE shoving a giant penis in her. The orgasm will help her relax & it’ll reduce or eliminate any pain. Hymen only tear when they’re not warmed up. I understand the author is Very Christian. That’s fine. I’m not here to Yuck their Yum. There’s no need to make your characters suffer or perpetuate bad practices. Monogamy from a young age & over-valuing virginity is bad enough. Don’t perpetuate bad sex, too. Think of the CHILDREN.
Sixthly. The stupid-ass “problems” at the crux of these books are getting increasingly nonsensical. Book One: attempted murder. Book Seven: he’s a stripper cause we all gotta eat & these two people who barely know each other aren’t great at communicating yet. Yaaaaay. So Intense. 😑
Seventhly. “Shoe-in” not “shoo-in”. Uuuugh. Also many other little idiom, grammar, & syntax issues.
So yeah the somewhat creepy conservative Christian viewpoints (white people, goddamned Dimples, monogamy, heterosexuality, virginity, “the Right One”) are getting much louder, at the expense of anything resembling a true plot, or even decent bloody sex scenes. The Most Frustrating read in a while.

I read this book a while ago before I started my blog and I am now slowly going back to review books. I never actually realized how important and useful they are to the authors. On top of that, if I love a book, I want someone else to know how much I enjoyed it. So without going into to details of the book, I am writing to let you know this is an amazing series by Addison Moore. She has without a doubt become one of my favorite authors. She writes multiple genres and always keeps me wanting more. Even when there are currently many books to a series. Each book is tied together by the setting and characters. So even after one story is finished, you will most likely see the main characters again. The best part about this series is they can be read as standalones! That means ... no cliff hangers! Yay! Honestly just go out and purchase the book. It is well worth it and you will thoroughly enjoy it!
I liked the story. I ended up crying because I felt so bad for Piper. What he did for Peter was the best and Peter connecting with his daughter again was the best. This story was a lot different than I expected. When people who can afford to send their kids to school don't it just really sucks because they should support their children. Every parent who can't do this wishes they could. It sad that they can't value their children. The whole thing about needing to stay with their match up was a lot especially saying they much have sex with them. That's A personal choice and should never be handled like they were trying to do. I'm glad she made the decision she did.
To be honest, I couldn't even finish this one. To "same 'ol, same 'ol". Boy meets girls, both extremely attractive. They have totally the wrong ideas about the type of person the other is. They spend most of the book fighting the attraction. They to know each other. Find out the others secrets end up in bed hot and heavy. H.E.A. Like I said, I got bored and didn't finished but this sounds about right.
I kept reading because I liked what I've read from the series so far. (Didn't read in order)
I won't say I didn't like the book, not all of it irritated me. I started reading thinking of Piper as an intelligent young lady and she had me questioning her intellect on every page. I did enjoy the ending when she finally started being herself. Was looking out for An "Owen's parents find out where he works chapter" but oh well.
Took a while for me to get into this one. The story ramped up mid way, and though predictable, I really enjoyed Owen and Piper’s story. I only read the first book in the series prior to this one and even though it is billed as a stand alone, it probably is more enjoyable if you read them all. Other characters are referred to with good amount of familiarity and I did get a little list keeping up with who was with who and how they were all related.
Owen is hot and a sweetheart and Piper certainly keeps him on his toes! She's feisty but also has some hidden hurts to overcome so you can't help but root for their romance to grow. I love how Piper stands her ground at the end, rather than blindly follow the masses ... although it is touch and go for a while!
This sorority really messes with people, I'm glad after everything, they finally are shut down. I'm glad Owen wasn't put down because of his sister and Baya didn't hate him. I really enjoyed that. Piper was a bit over dramatic about her high school experience but hasn't everyone gone through that? And not end up as bitter as Piper? Wait maybe I am!
I'm having mixed feelings about this book. Although it was well written and entertaining it had an underlying theme. College sorority girls selling pledges to high paying fraternity boys. Without the pledges knowledge of course. I hope this really never happened in the past or happens in the future. It's also about a budding romance that has a happy ending.
Fantastic Book. I didnt want to put it down. Piper and Owen's story kept me riveted. Piper seemed like a spoiled rich girl at first but she's a sweet spitfire. Owen was a mystery. Jaw dropped when I read about Pipers visit to his work. It got spicy really fast. I'm now going back to read books 1-6. Cant wait to read about the other characters.
This novel had a lot of good moments, a lot of sweet moments, and a lot of amazing moments that just brought a warm smile to my face; however, there were the times were it would lull and I would think about placing it down in favor of another, but in the end I'm glad I stuck it out and finished it.
Love this series. I love how all the characters link together through the whole series. So you get to find out what happens to the other characters from past books in the series.
Really enjoyed Piper and Owen's story! Owen is trying to help Piper, but Piper wants to make her own way with no help. When Piper realizes that Owen is sincere in trying to help things between them change!
Aw man I just love feisty characters. This book was just so good. It was right up my ally. I didn't like it at first because of the sorority and how she was willing to do anything to get in. That kind of stuff is so stupid to me. The book just kept getting better though. It was a great read.
It wasn't bad. I thought it could be better. But the overall feeling of the story was light and cute. It was a pretty quick read and I read it because I thought it would be a good "refresh" to have as an in-between book. And it was. I liked it.
I didn't know what to think but man I sure loved it. Piper was sure a spot fire and Owen enjoyed chasing her. I loved it can't wait to read more of this series
All these 3am books follow a formulated, hate to love, taming a bad boy type romance. Nothing wrong with that. Very predictable and fluffy reads. They are fun to pick up when I’m in a reading slump. I am sure I will pick up the rest in the series at some point.
