The Real Thing

Rate this book
Jane and Mitch Devereaux have had what appeared to be an unshakable marriage--until now. Jane's sudden success as an author and Mitch's dissatisfaction with the changes in their life drive a wedge between them. When Jane uses their sex life to practice scenes for her novel, it's the last straw for Mitch. He doesn't intend to stay away, just spend the night somewhere else. But his injured ego won't let him walk back through the door. Jane is confused by his departure; Mitch only wants to have things back to the way they were. Their marriage teeters on the edge of disaster until they realize that sometimes love can be found in the most unexpected place--right where you left it. (No part of this book is AI generated.)

Reviews:

"Unconditional is an important story about love, redemption, family and the amazing power of forgiveness. The heart and love can expand endlessly and these characters are setting the pace."

Reinventing Christmas is a fun, light-hearted holiday story. Linda Rettstatt is a pro with flirting, sexy banter, and sweet romance.

NEXT TIME I’M GONNA DANCE is a fantastic tale of family and friendship and the bonds that strengthen when forged in fire. Ms. Rettstatt has definitely created a remarkable story filled with hope, and I will look forward to whatever she happens to write next.

In addition to being an excellent work of fiction, "Act of Contrition" is an in-depth look into a woman's struggle with survivor's guilt and grief after the deaths of her husband and young son. Jennifer Barnes' journey through grief touched me on a personal level and is so realistic that it brought tears to my eyes. I especially liked how Linda Rettstatt described Jenny's efforts to avoid involvement with her first love when he reenters her life at her most vulnerable. This book is a page-turner and I hated setting it aside to do my chores. I heartily recommend "Act of Contrition".
