The Billionaire's Wife is a full standalone BWWM Romance Novel with a happy-ever-after and NO CLIFFHANGER!
What began as a marriage of convenience becomes much more...and what erupts defies imagination!
Kiona Walker is a force of nature. Exceptionally skilled at totally reinventing herself, reading people, and bluffing her way through careers, she is a corporate spy on the search for her big break. Her charm and flexibility mask a past filled with hardship and anguish, and her brash impulsiveness won't work forever.
But love was the one curveball she could never prepare for.
Cole Andrews is as blindingly rich as he is untouchable. Deceptively savvy. Incredibly withdrawn. One final obstacle puts his empire on the line. He's going to need the perfect partner. Someone who can play the game. But deceit and danger surrounds him, and beneath his calm, collected persona lies a painful secret that will push their blossoming romance to the very limit.
Caring for her was never part of the plan...but can he finally trust someone else?
It was supposed to be simple, but every punishing twist and turn and every last truth revealed only tested our unlikely bond.
I was going to give this 3 stars, but I'm a sucker for books that makes me cry and I cried quite a bit, so 4 stars it is. Halfway into this, I thought that while it's an interesting read I won't put it on my reread shelf. But as I continued to read, it made me tear up (which I didn't think would happen), but I suddenly got attached to Cole and Kiona. I didn't think I would, but I fell in love with them and their story.
I really enjoyed how the characters got together In the first place. I was in tears at the hospital right with key, I wish he would have found out about his assistant before his sickness took over. But this was a very good read.
In my quest to find books similar to Terms and Conditions which involves fake marriage, grumpy/sunshine, hate to love, boss/employee tropes, I stumbled upon this book. It’s not unique story or different from any other romance books however this book was actually sad and kept me glued needing to know the end. While it was a mediocre story with not much development from fake to real relationship, not much banter in it, it did a good job of keeping me entertained. So 3 stars is all I can give it. Off I go to my continuous search for a book similar to Terms and Conditions (which I highly recommend!!)
I gave 4 stars because the story development was solid. I felt connected to all the characters eve the protagonists. This story is one of love and romance but does not have the characters in bed together at their first sight of one another I would like to see more from this couple and will be reading more from the author.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the chemistry between them, and how they had each other's back when they supposedly not trusted each other. I wished their relationship had developed some more, but I loved how they felled for each other.
This story was imaginative, exciting and kept me very at the edge of by seat to see what other twist and turns was coming. Excellent read would highly recommend.
I liked this story, I thought it was an interesting and sweet read. However, I found it very slow in parts and it did not rock my world. It was okay read.
I enjoyed this book however, there were quite a few errors. The primary male lead had a severe lung condition, terminal in fact. Because of the severity of his lung condition, it should be noted further multi system organ failure will occur prior to end of life, without advanced life support of some sort in the moments leading up to death. The female lead was great and supportive which is a positive however, again some of the issues were distorted. I give it a four star because it was a sweet story.
I subtracted two stars simply because I do not know of any hospital that discharges you hours after a major surgery. Send you home with the assistance of a business friend and your chauffeur. Come on, Mia. Why didn't your editor catch that piece of idiocy? 9/2/24 10:47 pm.
The story was rushed and not a steamy as I'm used tp
Not a bad book if you want a quick read and you're not looking for a super steamy romance. It was an interesting story though it did feel slightly rushed
Very enjoyable and this was my second RE read of this story. I loved both main characters great chemistry. The story line was great, I just didn't like the way the transplant was written. The author needs you do a lot more research in that department
Cole and Kiona were greatly structured characters. The book started off slow for me but eventually it became an awesome read. Love was slow to come but it came with a vengeance.
I skipped thru most of this book because I hate not knowing what happens and I barely dnf books. But I definitely wasted my time and data space. I wished he died in the end.
This story was simply delightful. Yes the author mentioned a million times that Cole was a billionaire, moreover I think the story suffered only a little because of it. Each mention was a slight distraction. The basic premise was that Cole needed a fake wife to pull off a business deal. Kiona was a smart and beautiful grifter who came to his business to get hired and then steal his magic box, or the secret to his success. Secrets were revealed about both, and in the end love prevailed despite their differences.
This novel started off slow but steadily improved. About half way into it, the plot became clearer when the fact that Cole was dying was revealed. The conclusion was rushed. I was the author has included more detail of him being able to go back to the company and kick the oilers out. A more interesting plot would have been to let Kiona take over and kick them out. A good book to spend the evening with. No Sweat
Fresh new perspective on a billionaire's romance. The plot, character and relationships in this story seemed real and flowed easily throughout story. I would be happy to recommend it to a friend.
A good read for a quiet Sunday afternoon. It's always good to see an African-American woman portrayed as a person who is intelligent, beautiful, witty who can save the day.
I loved this book I think despite the grammatical errors everything was prefect. It was the ultimate cohesive story. I cried and laughed at points Mia Cadwell really put you in your emotions.
This was a very good book. I enjoyed it immensely. It had everything I like it a book. Time lines of actions (sexual) were unrealistic as well as time frames of his recovery. But all in all a good read
Oh my goodness, this book had me from the beginning! I didn't think I was going to fall in love with this book but I did. To me...this is touching and unforgettable. It is worth reading.
Good Read, BUT Good solid story-line that. Nice twists and the author does a great job traversing such an emotional ride. You won't be disappointed with this one.
