A hilarious tongue-in-cheek look at the south's stereotypical trailer park and the many recipes they share among themselves. Includes vignettes of each of the park's residents as well as all of the recipes. Remember, it's a parody of stereotypes, so substitute ingredients per your own use as necessary. (I don't think government cheese is around much these days, anyway! LOL) The recipes are legit, though.

11/10 - Okay, last night I made "Graham Cracker Puddin'".
When it came out of the oven it looked like a piece of cardboard! It's kind of like bread pudding, if you used graham crackers - flavor is not bad - I used pecans for the nuts, so it's rich tasting. Ruby Ann recommends topping it with whipped cream which I didn't get but I think it would be better with it. :)

Was going to also make the "Honky Tonk Husband Bread" but discovered it called for self-rising flour and I just have the regular kind. May try it in the future since it's so easy.

Eventually resorted to skimming over the recipes. Although it was funny, it got to be too over the top. I'm still planning to skim over another Ruby Ann book that a friend loaned me, though.

Hilarious! Love the intro to all the "sites". As a cookbook? Not so much.
