Yoshiki Nakamura (仲村佳樹) is a Japanese mangaka. She was born June 17. Nakamura made her manga debut with "Yume de Auyori Suteki" in the manga magazine Hana to Yume in 1993.

Shockingly, this one did not impress me too much. Maybe because I was too frustrated with just how naive Kyoko is. Honestly girl-Fairies are not real. You see a guy who looks like Ren, sounds like Ren but just the hair is different and you still take it at face value that he is a fairy?! And shame on Ren for keeping on the fake "Corn" (why Corn by the way? Could she not say Koun?) Enough with the childhood games! Although there is improvement by the end. And a squeal-worthy kiss scene. But the characters fantasy behaviors and mentalities actually annoyed me a bit. I still loved the volume. The healing/lifting of the curse, etc and character insight. Some of Koun/Ren/Corn's expressions are priceless!

Two words: TURNING. POINT. This arc made me feel all the emotions and then so much giddiness in 210-212, I can't. (Please let the series finish by like Volume 40. I can't be reading this forever, I want it to end so I can reread it forever, and not cry every month waiting for it, and then cry again reading the new chapter, I can't.)

I loved this volume! Kyoko is in her element visiting with Corn. Ren's internal monologue during all this was rather funny as well. I am interested In seeing how Ren will eventually explain his past to Kyoko after playing Corn the fairy again as an adult. I feel like she's going to be in complete denial when it happens.

Io adoro Kyoko. Fosse una persona vera, la vorrei conoscere. I film mentali che è in grado di mettere insieme sono qualcosa di mai visto. Il suo amore per le fiabe e per il mondo fatato le permettono di credere, anche se con qualche momento di perplessità, a tutta la storiella che Corn le sta presentando - ovvero, lui non può mostrarsi con il suo vero aspetto e ha assunto le fattezze (e la voce) di Ren Tsuruga solo perché l'attore è una presenza nei ricordi della ragazza. Un genio. E quando Kyoko si accorge che il Corn che ha davanti agli occhi non riesce più a sorridere come un tempo, beh, il genio, prendendo spunto dal mondo delle fiabe, le dice di essere stato maledetto. E qual è il metodo preferito per spezzare maledizioni nelle fiabe? Ovviamente il bacio del vero amore 😂 l'ho già detto che è un genio? Certo, Kyoko dovrà un attimo entrare in modalità recitazione per poter esaudire la richiesta. Ah, peraltro Corn/Ren sgancia pure la "L word" per eccellenza, love.
Diciamo che tutta la conversazione permette all'attore di sondare i sentimenti della ragazza nei confronti sia di Corn che di Ren. Kyoko non sa che si tratta della stessa persona, ma nella sua mente sono entrambi insostituibili - Corn l'ha fatta sorridere e l'ha ascoltata quando la bambina non sapeva a chi rivolgersi per parlare della sua tristezza, Ren è sì una fonte di ispirazione a livello professionale, ma ormai sappiamo che c'è qualcosa di più che bolle in pentola. In questo contesto, si sente addirittura grata per la stupidità del pirla biondo, perché le ha permesso di conoscere Ren - un tradimento che l'ha fatta soffrire, ma che ha contribuito a formare il suo carattere.
A dispetto dell'astio che prova nei confronti di Sho Fuwa, Kyoko è una ragazza dal cuore d'oro, capace ancora di guardare il mondo con occhi pieni di meraviglia. È una persona estremamente empatica, che non riesce ad ignorare le sofferenze altrui: sarebbe molto bello se Kuon decidesse di presentarsi a lei senza il filtro Ren Tsuruga, di rivelarle il loro passato in comune e gli eventi drammatici che hanno segnato gli ultimi anni negli Stati Uniti (tipo la morte di questo Rick). Forse così sarà finalmente in grado di perdonare se stesso e fare un passo avanti. Teniamo le dita incrociate!

This series is just taunting me at this point :P We finally got some "Corn" [that wasn't purely from Kyouko's memories] but Kyouko still isn't aware that Corn = Ren (or even that Corn = Kuon), despite coming SUPER CLOSE to working it out - damn Ren and his quick backtracks!

I gotta say though, Kyouko's dilemma over providing "true love's kiss" to Corn in order to rid him of the curse was the best thing ever, and then the actual kiss being barely even a peck and still having her turn beet red (and making Ren VERY disappointed - serves you right :P). It was honestly amazing from start to finish.

It was definitely nice to know for certain what circumstances brought Corn and Kyouko together that first time (especially with Kyouko being Japanese [and living in Japan], while Ren was ~1/2 Japanese [and living in America]).

Gotta say though, that farewell from Corn was just cruel :P "Let's meet again" he says... and then JUMPS OFF THE ROOF. I mean sure, he just flung himself onto the floor below, but Kyouko didn't know that!

Omg i loved that Kyoko ended up stumbling across Ren in his Natual form ,without his dyed hair ,it was so great to see Corn (as Kyoko calls him) again :) i loved this volume and i can't wait to see whats gonna happen next :)

Kyoko has encountered Corn, really Kuon, actually Ren Tsuruga when she arrives in Guam early for the latest shoot. Confronted by her childhood imaginary friend all grown up and in a body that eerily resembles her senior at her talent agency, Kyoko sets out to try and save Corn from the curse he s under, while Kuon/Ren tries to keep his real identity secret from Kyoko's curiosity.

What should be a turning point for the series is indeed one, but instead of changing the relationship towards a more honest exploration, it instead turns Kuon/Ren into a manipulative bastard, willing to use the situation for his own benefit and honestly casting him in a light comparable to Kyoko's nemesis ex, Sho Fuwa. In a resolution that is supposed to show growth and emotional stability for her implied future love interest, instead we someone who is wiling to take advantage of her trust.

I hated this volume, hated, hated, hated it. I will continue reading, but with a new view of one of the characters, one that makes me dubious going forward.

5 MILLION SHINING STARS. Best volume yet.

OMG. OMG OMG!!! I'M FANGIRLING SO HARD IT'S NOT EVEN FUNNY. Why does this manga torture me so much??? AHhhhh!!! The freaking scenes. The KISSSING scenes.

My. Heart. Can't. Take. It. Anymore.

I NEEEEEED THE NEXT VOLUME NOW. I would force myself to learn kanji or romanji or hiragana or whatever if that would mean I can read the next volume already!

I absolutely LOVE this series, but alas this volume just wasn't quite as good as I'd been hoping. The entire volume was one single scene that was just too long, and what happened just didn't have the impact I've grown accustomed to with this series (and was actually a little confusing in parts). SERIOUSLY looking forward to the next volume, though!!

Loved this volume. Kyoko finally gets to meet her childhood friend Corn. I love how she still thinks Corn is a fairy and she is so cute worrying about him. Since Corn was saying he was a fairy and could the way she saw him was by him having Ren's face and his voice it was fun seeing her react to different things he said and what he did. In this volume there was a surprise to Kyoko and to me a very happy surprise :)

Nisam mislila da ću ikada dati tako nisku ocenu serijalu koji obožavam, ali... Šta je ovo bilo?

Znači, koliko god da je Kjoko naivna, nemoguće je da nije skontala da je Ren laže i da se poznaju odvajkada. Drugo, cela ta priča da je on vila koja je došla na ovaj svet i zaposela Renovo telo je najveća glupost koja je ikad smišljena (okej, nije, ima gorih slučajeva, ali svejedno, zaprepašćena sam) i neverovatno mi je da išta od onoga što se desilo nekome pije vodu. Baš sam se razočarala. 😔

Volume da incorniciare. Solo Kyoko poteva cascarci con tutte le scarpe nella storia imbastita da Kuon. Ma quanto belli sono? Ren, nei panni del principe delle favole, si lascia andare a un'azione che in un qualsiasi altro contesto non avrebbe potuto assolutamente prendere, che meraviglia! Chissà quanto dovremo aspettare per avere il bis... intanto però, mi godo il fatidico momento! 😍

What Lory did for Kyoko in 34, she did for Ren here. The fairy aspect is a little silly, but it works for comedic effect and to deliver scenes we want to see while not wholly delivering and making us want more. (ﾉ≧∇≦)ﾉ ﾐ ┻━┻ Still love Ren. (Sighs)

Kyokos Begegnung mit Koon war klasse! Ich habe mich oft gefragt, ob sie gleich herausfindet, wer er wirklich ist. Aber alle heiklen Situationen wurden wie immer witzig gelöst. Diese Reihe macht mir unglaublich viel Spaß!

This one feels like it’s mostly building up that slow burn romance. There were some charged moments I loved, but I want more! These two characters are ridiculously stubborn when it comes to admitting feelings (not that I’m complaining!).

The author is adept at incorporating fairy tale elements into the narrative. The scene where Kyoko touches Ren's lips and he sneaks on the floor is endearing. The little spirits at the end of the volume are suspicious of Corn-Ren's identity, which will be revealed as the story progresses.

I am not invested in Corn/Kuon/Ren identity. Still can't piece together when he had the time to be in some pewpew trouble and why. Only care how Kyoko uses the memory of Corn to process challenges. Sad that Ren took /that/ opportunity while he was in fairy disguise.
