A hopeless romantic with a bit of sarcasm thrown in for good measure, Shanna Hatfield is a best-selling author of clean romantic fiction written with a healthy dose of humor.
In addition to blogging and eating too much chocolate, she is completely smitten with her husband, lovingly known as Captain Cavedweller.
Shanna creates character-driven romances with realistic heroes and heroines. Her historical westerns have been described as “reminiscent of the era captured by Bonanza and The Virginian” while her contemporary works have been called “laugh-out-loud funny, and a little heart-pumping sexy without being explicit in any way.”
She is a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, and Romance Writers of America.
OMG just when I think I can't love this author anymore Shanna Hatfield makes me do just that love her even more!!! I ABSOLUTELY loved Celia and Kash's HEA in Capturing Christmas!! This is a wonderful story full of all manner of emotions that bounce on every heartstring available Shanna is officially one of my favorite favorite authors ever. This story definitely pulled all my heartstrings I ABSOLUTELY loved it and can't wait to read even more by Shanna Hatfield!!!!! I am doing a Happy reader dance yes yes I am!!!
Capturing Christmas by Shanna Hatfield is superb. My favorite so far in this amazing series. Celia and Kash wrapped me up into a romantic tornado that just kept spiraling and building, until the epic ending. These two sweethearts engulfed all my emotions and kept me turning the pages to see what was happening next. A beautiful love story that should be a Hallmark Movie. Ms. Hatfield has an amazing talent that warms your soul.
Just more of the same eye-rolling inducing constant kissing and lustful thoughts by the H & h! I am an ex-Christian ,but I do not feel these lust-filled books are a good choice for Christians, or anyone seeking 'clean' romance reads !
I prefer my romances to have more story,LESS STEAM to them, so I won't be reading anymore of this author's DRIVEL!
The third book in the Rodeo Romance Series is just as wonderful as the first two. It is a story that shows the healing power of love. It is a perfect way to put you in the holiday spirits.
I enjoyed the audio-book version. The narrator Luke Andreen did a remarkable job as always. I hope that he and Shanna collaborate again in the future.
Once again Shanna Hatfield brought me right back into this series from the very first page. There are several things that I enjoy about the Rodeo Romance series, believable stories, main characters that I can see as real people, secondary characters that continue throughout the series even after their own staring roles are done. Although I am somewhat binge reading the series over a few weeks, I’m hoping that each year we’ll continue to get a new installment of this series and it’s very believable characters.
The twists and turns in this romance begin rather early, and to talk much about them would include spoilers that I don’t intend to give out. Celia and Kash are rodeo people who work more behind the scenes but are still a vital part of the whole picture. Kash’s family business provides some of the bulls that are the mainstay of this competition. And Celia has always taken breathtaking photos of the rodeo. She’s aiming to be the official rodeo photographer but she’s meeting with several stumbling blocks for that position. That doesn’t stop her from taking pictures and being an important part of the rodeo circuit.
This couple are going to go through some really rough roads before finding their happy ending. Tears, laughter, misunderstandings, and things left unsaid will follow them until the end.
Capturing Christmas is a beautiful romance, completely believable and is filled with people you’d likely already know. We also get the chance to catch up with some couples and their families from the first stories of the series. Tender, caring, lighthearted with a twist that at times hurts beyond belief, Capturing Christmas will grab your attention and not let go until the final page. I’d recommend this one for any reader who loves a realistic couple, and situations that aren’t really that different than the rest of us.
I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
My favorite story so far in the series. Kash and Celia captured my heart. They each have a romantic past that has affected how they approach a relationship. For him his mother's desertion at a young age shaped his life. Celia longs for a strong and loving relationship like her parents and brother.
When Kash's identical twin brother pulls some pranks to sabotage their relationship, it almost works. They realize that communication and trust is vital to a successful relationship but it will be enough.
After a misunderstanding caused by Ransom, they break up. On her ride home the old truck she's driving dies in a snowstorm and Kash rescues her. She's feverish and sick so he takes her home to the ranch to recuperate where they mend fences and grow even closer. Once she's well enough to return home the parting is bittersweet but a Christmas surprise is in store.
Celia McGraw has a dream of being the official photographer for the international rodeo in Las Vegas so she is working diligently to take as many rodeo photos as possible until she succeeds. She takes many risks and faces danger to get the right photo. When a failed public proposal leaves her flustered, she is rescued by the stock contractor from being trampled by horses. Kash doesn’t have time to be rescuing the pretty red headed photographer but there seems to be something about her that turns his head. He does another good deed for her later when he takes her home from a wedding she has photographed. What happens when his twin brother decides to interfere in the relationship by pretending to be Kash? Neither couple are looking for anything serious when the attraction hits them. Some of the banter and sexual innuendos in the book are a little crude and may bother some people.
This is another absolutely wonderful story by this author. I laughed, I cried, I got mad at both hero and heroine but loved them both the same. Ms. Hatfield always write believable authentic and awesome characters in her books and she writes them as if they are alive on the pages. You are pulled into the story every time and delighted as well as frustrated. But identical twins, this poor heroine had no idea that the man she was falling in love with had an identical twin that was the bad boy. Well it certainly kept her and me on our toes whenever one of them shows up. It’s a good thing our heroine figures out how to tell them apart most of the time. This is one you want to read and do it now if you haven’t yet. I highly recommend this story and all in this wonderful, fun series of Christmas Rodeo Cowboys. I love this story.
Capturing Christmas: Sweet Western Holiday Romances (Rodeo Romance Book 3)
The love story of Kash and Celia. Kash and Ransom and Kash Kressley are identical twins. Ransom hates the rodeo and the ranch work and he does everything he can to show it. Kash love the rodeo and ranch work and he is know as the best of them. When he meets Celia and she does not know he is a twin and All kinds of trouble breaks out because one is treats her great and the other does everything possible to make her angry. Will love win out. Great Christmas story.
Wow ans wow! Another great book by this author. I had just finished her latest release: In The Market For Love, it was Ransom Kressley's story (former bad boy trying to redeem himself). When I finished the last word, I wanted to know who his "perfect" twin brother "Saint Kash" was and, hopefully, the story was already written a decade ago by the author! Fun fact: She wrote Ransom's story because some of her fans asked her to! She explains it in the traditional 'author's note she puts in all of her books or at the beginning, I don't remember. This book was a true page-turner!
I love Shanna Hatfield stories but I really enjoy rodeo stories. They take me back to my youth and the mostly wonderful rodeo cowboys. What a twist on a story, identical twins, at least in appearance, thankfully not in personality. Kash is thoughtful, kind and a gentleman, Ransome is rude, uncouth and full of himself. No wonder Celia feels like she’s on a roller coaster or trapped with a guy with a split personality. This has been a wonderful series and this book is just another addition to that. I really enjoyed meeting the Kressley family.
This was a really good story. It is bout Celia and Kash. He raises and supplies cattle for the rodeos. He, his father and his twin brother are all partners. Celia takes rodeo pictures among other things. She met Kash when he rescued her from an angry bull. Just to say, this is just the beginning of a serious romance, along with some complications along the way. Enjoy their story and them finding romance of a life time.
Another great Page Turner by Shanna Hatfield! This book can be a stand alone or read in the series. I love rodeo stories and this did not disappoint! The characters seemed real and relatable. I could "see" what was happening, great descriptions! The story kept me wanting to read more. This is a great book to ready anytime of the year! I highly recommend this book.
Kash has an identical twin brother named Ransom. They are identical in looks, but opposite in personality. Ransom is wild and constantly doing things to hurt Kash. Even to the point of trying to jeopardize a relationship with a girl, Ceila, Kash meets. This is a very interesting story.
The feeling I got from this book is one you feel after watching a really great love-story movie. I was enthralled from the first page. I couldn’t put it down. I felt swept away by Celia and Kash’s story. I swear I could feel the warmth in my heart after I was finished reading and released a sigh. Another win from this author.
This was definitely a “don't judge a book by its cover” kind of story. Kash and Ransom are twins. They look identical, but their characters are worlds apart. Kash is a gentleman and hard worker. Celia is a sweetheart. They both say they're not interested in romance or marriage, but that's before they meet.
I loved this story and all the characters. This is the second book I've read in the series and enjoyed it all. I especially liked the twin brothers even tho one was not as likeable as the other in the beginning.
Another great book in the series! Listened to a lot of this one on Audible —- wish I could listen to more of the series while getting the house ready for Christmas - but alas, the rest of the series isn’t available yet :-( A good clean romance series! I’ve throughly enjoyed it so far!
Kash and Celia once again he has rescued her, while at a rodeo. She is a professional photographer. Sparks fly from the first meeting, he expected it with her fiery red hair, also knowing her brothers. With a new location and the different herds on it, he didn’t need romance, or did he. Good story
Loved this book where two people who barely have time to see each other fall in love. Celia is a rodeo photographer and meets the guy in charge of the stock at rodeos. Good character depth.
She’s a rodeo photographer, he provides animals to the rodeo. He has a twin brother that almost destroys the relationship. But she figures it out and they find a way to be together.
Celia and Kash are two people who have decided that marriage and love won't happen for them but deep down really want it. This is a sweet romance with several hot spots included!
Shanna, you did a beautiful job on this read of Nash's and Ceilia's love story. It is wonderfully crafted story. It caught my interest right away and held my interest all the way through it. It is also a page turner.
These books keep getting better and better. Kash & Celia are awesome together. I love how their story unfolded and I love that the characters from Book 1 & 2 are in book 3. I can't wait to read the next one... I hope Ransom gets his own story and Cooper!
I am loving this Rodeo Romance series! Kase and Celia are neither one looking for a relationship. They both work long hours and dependable and diligent. Once they meets, sparks fly but their schedules keep them apart a lot. Great characters and story!
