My daughter didn't really like this, and kept pushing it away when I tried to read it to her. She's in the target age group for black and white books, but I think the illustrations were a little too complex for her, eg there was a big dog shape made up of lots of little dog silhouettes, surrounded by a border of silhouettes.

Pets lets you create the story. Each page has simple black and white pictures that you can describe to your baby. Talking helps babies develop vocabulary and learn speech patterns. Each time you open the book, it’s a chance to tell a new story to your little one.
