Rate this book
Kai is a warrior who has won every battle he has ever fought, all except the one to win his father's affection.

The exiled Prince of Tensora commands King Ulrich of Raventhorn's army. His blade and legendary skill have secured peace time and time again. But legends are often lonelier than they appear.

Elara is the woman who was never meant to cross his path. Haunted by a recurring dream she does not understand, Elara has spent her life surviving rather than living. Their worlds collide when Kai is betrayed by the king and the two are hunted as wanted fugitives. The deeper they run, the closer they become and a horrifying truth a demon has been sent by the king to kill them, a demon which cannot be harmed.

Kai's skill is useless against it, but learning the secret behind Elara's recurring dream may uncover the demon's only weakness.

The Dragon’s Breath was a great read! I love Kai and Elara so much. The banter was so enjoyable. This is a book with no spice, but the slow burn romance is so sweet. They were in forced proximity with one bed. There are some sensitive topics, but the author did well in portraying them. It was mysterious, very focused on kingdoms, war, a legend and a warrior. An honorable warrior and a strong woman faced with shame. They are both on a journey that brings them together and it a beautiful love story that unfolds. There’s friendship, duty, honor, romance, battles, demons, witches, and a legend to unfold.
