This was a fun read. Geronimo Stilton is a superhero and has two superhero companions, as well as some non-super companions. He also has the required regular opponent in The Sewer Rats. Although this is my oldenst son's book I actually read it before he did (a rare occurrence). It is a good take on the superhero genre. Stilton has powers but sometimes forgets how to use them. As well he is still a coward at heart and so really doesn't want to get into all the situations one of his fellow heroes drags him into (Hercule Poirat also with superpowers). One intriguing aspect is the third hero Lady Wonderwhiskers. She show up and she disappears and we know nothing about her. This is the third in the series and I may just seek out the others to read. If your youngster is a reader of Geronimo Stilton and hasn't tried any of the Hero Mice series then give them one of the series. They wil undoubtedly like them.
