Wow! What a fabulous read! Deliciously dark, seriously sexy, completely engaging and divinely entertaining! This is my first time reading the work of Lucian Bane but it certainly won't be my last! The Mercy Trilogy is a well crafted and beautifully written story with two memorable and remarkably complex protagonists truly worthy of the descriptor hero and heroine. The narrative is completely mesmerizing and masterfully written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view - my favorite! The dialogue is raw, gritty, arousing and well executed. And for the pièce de résistance: the characters! Be still my heart! They are dark, seductive, complex, engaging, realistic, totally relatable and sexy as sin. Meet Sade aka Jonathan, our unlikely damaged hero with a dangerous, dark past and even darker, more dangerous secrets, and Mercy, a strong, brave, pure-spirited young heroine who also has secrets concealing a horrific past. Mercy was magnificent, a true angel of light and goodness tempered with intelligence, empathy, courage and a surprising, unexpected darkness of her own! And Sade was a bloody brilliant work in progress who turned out to be a beautiful masterpiece! This book is an emotional, gut-wrenching roller coaster ride that will rip out your heart and leave you on the edge of your seat begging for more! I laughed! I cried! I sobbed! What a fantastic psychologically twisted book. It’s unpredictable and I didn’t want to put the book down. My heart broke, I wanted to pull Sade into my arms and tell him it was alright. Other moments I wanted to wipe that cocky smile off his face.
At the age of four Sade lost his mother, the only person in his life who showed him love. He was brought up by a sadistic monster to be become a sadomasochist who found pleasure is both receiving and giving pain. Until he was rescued by an “Angel of Mercy” who tried to show him that he did have a heart.
Mercy was rescued from a life of abuse at the age of ten. Her father was her rock he taught her everything she knows. Finding an envelope when he passed away with Sade’s name, Mercy decides to decipher what her father was trying to do. Little did she know the danger she put herself in or that she’d fall in love with him.
Sade and Mercy face many challenges on the path to find an equilibrium between pleasure and pain. Taking back control and redirecting the urges in your body and mind.

Lucian has a way of writing that draws you in. This book will definitely draw you in and take you on an amazing ride, full of twists and turns. It's dark and suspenseful and plenty of steamy scenes. I went through every emotion while reading this, love, hate, anger and laughter. My heart broke for Sade and Mercy, the terrible abuse they suffered through, but I was right there with them when they triumphed! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down, sometimes pacing the floor, feeling their pain and fear, afraid of what would happen next.
This book is very well written, Lucian creates characters that will stay with you long after you've finished the book. I recommend you get this book, you won't be disappointed. Get ready for a wild ride!

Do NOT read his books. He’s treating his fans and women poorly if they do not put him first. He thinks the world should revolve around him. He has been private messaging women on Facebook and calling them vulgar names. Names I don’t even want to repeat. He’s “purging” his fan page on Facebook. (Which is now gone). If they weren’t “true fans” they were getting kicked out his group. They either had to buy his works or constantly promote him. I don’t condone name calling but he is a slime ball. Women are his main audience and he’s treating them like they don’t matter. So I repeat, do NOT read his books. I will certainly never read one. Thanks for reading my review.

This series was great. Overall I would give it 4.5 stars. The series starts with a lot of unknowns, but throughout the series you learn about the characters, their lives. It is a true book of sometimes even when people only think there is bad in their life, they soldier on and eventually someone comes along to save them. I would highly recommend this series.

This is a dark, erotic and at times soul destroying story. It also is one that shows human nature at it's worst and ultimately a story of salvation. A fantastic, gripping series, full of raw emotions and passion , you won't be able to put it down!!

This series deserves so much more than 5 stars.
1. MERCY
I've been making my way through Lucian Bane's catalog of books I haven't read and decided on this one. "Mercy" is the first book in the series with the same name and what an appropriate name it is! With hundreds of reviews on this book already, you don't need me to give you a synopsis … it's been done several times. Read the author's blurb carefully and if you decide to proceed, then hang on because it's a wild, eyes-wide-open ride that will take your breath the entire time your heart palpitates in your ears. It's not all thrills and adrenalin, there were a few times I caught my eyes sweating and swallowed a knot or two in my throat. This is such an emotional, chemistry-filled story with a cliffhanger that made me wail NOOOO! If you've read enough of my reviews then you know I'll immediately be starting book two, "No Mercy".
2. NO MERCY
OH SNAP!!! This is the second book in Lucian Bane's "Mercy" series and I'm telling you right now, my heart hasn't stopped pounding since I started this series. There are so many delicious twists and turns in this book. If you've read the first book 'Mercy', then you know Mr. Bane left us with one heck of a cliffhanger. 'No Mercy' picks up where that one left off and just keeps going. They're on the run but there are so many incidentals along the way that need to be figured out. I promise you, this one will keep you on the edge of your seat and just the time I thought I could breathe easily, something (or someone) came along and stole my breath again. I've got to find out what happens in 'Beg For Mercy', the third book of the series.
3. BEG FOR MERCY
'Beg For Mercy' has to be one of the most sizzling, heart-wrenching, heart-warming, books that I've read in quite some time. The emotions of Sade/Johnathon and Mercy are visceral and the mental anguish of fighting personal demons is totally relatable. I loved this series.

Two lives broken and trying to find strength in each other to help heal a little of themselves. This book is dark, gritty, raw so powerfully intense I was on the edge of my seat. They come face to face with evil-there is torture, pain and heartache but also a deeper understanding of a sexual being and love. Lucian Bane knows how to draw you in a story making it so vivid with the connection you feel with these characters.
There were times as I was reading this that my heart was in my throat. The raw emotions I felt with these characters was unleashed with an amazing feeling of empathy. With darkness there is light. We fight our demons and if we have faith and patience we will overcome. These two beautiful tortured souls came out of hell to find what they needed to be free of their past. I Loved it all!

Strong heart wrenching trilogy
Words have never captured so much feeling as these . Strong dark emotional is the only way to describe this wonderfully written story . The words capture you and invade your mind and senses to places you never thought you would go . Thank you for the wonderful experience and overwhelming feeling of balance of emotions by the end of the story . Your characters are amazing the interaction brings in a great balance to what we are taking in . Thank you Lucian Bane for wonderful writing and sharing your talented mind with us as your readers .I highly recommend this trilogy but be aware of its triggers to strong content and emotions .

Definitely NOT for anyone who may be easily triggered by scenes of abuse in ANY FORM. Readers beware and protect your tender and sacred sensibilities.
But if you can read these types of dark stories ... you will find this is one of the best and well written tales, and you won't regret the journey.
I won't lie, this was ... A LOT to handle. I don't usually read really dark and twisted erotica. I don't need the nightmares frankly and I know the world has some VERY DARK AND RAVAGED PLACES.
So, I marvel that I did read this Trilogy to its end. Why did I? Because I find Lucian's writing compelling. He draws me into the characters and their story line by brilliantly crafted line. He also somehow knew how to tell the most vile facts without making me feel like I was living in that moment but yet I wasn't wholly detached either. It's a specific gift of storytelling - I was with them in the dark, but I wasn't trapped there or left to linger with those thoughts for hours or days later. For that I am MOST GRATEFUL.
Boy, was this book filled with jaw dropping - OH NO - OMG moments! I cried, I laughed, I gasped, I melted and was deeply aroused ... and much of that all happened within moments of each other. That felt real and true to life, too.
But I really read this because I felt love and compassion for both Mercy and Sade and I truly wanted the best for them and I kept hoping we would get there ... in the light ... with both of them. For those who just NEED to know ... they do!
But if you can read these types of dark stories ... you will find this is one of the best and well written tales, and you won't regret the journey.

Book 1: WOW!!!! Mind blowing! Powerful! Amazing! Twisted! Sexy! Give me a minute to catch my breath! Roller coaster ride from the very beginning! At times, I yelled at the characters and other times I wanted to snuggle them! The further into the story I went, the more I felt a part of it! For the first time, I didn't feel like a voyeur! I felt like I completely belonged!! Now, if you will excuse me, I need to get back to OUR story! Next stop, No Mercy!!

A very dark erotic romance. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Somehow most erotic romance characters out there are extremely rich and successful. Not in this book. The characters are unique by physical and emotional dark experiences, not by social power of any form, but by the lack of it. Well written journey to the bottom of humanity and its survivalists. This is a story about the creation of a real sadomasochist and the healing love can bring for the hopeless sexual deviants. If you're not able to digest the subjects of child sexual abuse, torture, rape, murder, this isn't for you. If you are ready for an intense emotional trip to the other side of pretty love stories and happy families, then please read on and you will not be disappointed. If there is such a thing as a erotic romance book club, this title should be on the reading list. Lots to think or talk about.

In the first book Mercys dad has passed and she decides to take up his torch. Helping people who are in danger and get on the right track. Next on the list is Sade. She finds him and he's getting beaten. Mercy, ends up kicking the abuser butt. Her journey to meeting Sade. Book 2 has one of the darkest scenes I've ever read. So much goes on that it will have you on the edge of your seat. Action,sensual, sex scenes beware, stalking your significant other, suspense, amnesia and a bumpy love story. Third book got a little redundant for me. Things I felt Mr Bane already dealt with. There was such an awesome built up and some answers weren't answered about Sades dad's and Abraham. BUT..... hands ,down,,, was still a five-star trilogy!!!

Another lucian Bane book that had me laughing, crying, and ready to go do naughty things. I love how Lucian can make you feel all those thing and more. This trilogy takes you on one help of a ride. Where two people that are so different in every way but have so much in common find away to one another. It's hard to love when your past is real ducked but Lucian has figured out how to bring all the true feeling of how to deal with that ducked up a hit and deal with it. This book shows that and more

A wild ride
Still crying from the end of this book. I don't know how something so beautiful could come from a story so dark but it was amazing. I loved every moment of this dark and thrilling ride and so happy I picked this up as a bundle because having to wait might have killed me lol. I loved Sade and mercy and sad it's over

Seriously, I did some ugly crying
I just walked through hell and back with Sade. In between hell and back were some surprises, some snorting to keep from laughing out loud, a few 'No, HE DID NOT!s, some squirming, and finding peace in all of the emotional chaos. Kick the family out for the day get some snacks and prepare yourself for a little binge read.

Mercy is amazing! I LOVE her. She’s such a contradiction, but, despite everything, she was constantly making me smile with her tough cuteness and beautiful heart.

I enjoyed all three books , I feel at times 2 and 3 got a bit long in the tooth with certain scenarios and I found mysellf skimming through .
Apart from that , I really did enjoy the whole story from start to finish and highly recommend it . ☺

I truly enjoyed all three books . I wanted Sade and Mercy to come out ok because they deserved it after all the crap they endured .
