Collects the two-parter Keo storyline, The Walls of Lemuria and The Fields of Lemuria, into a single volume, and does not contain any new material. ______________________________________________________________ Every survivor has a story.
The Purge decimated the planet almost a year ago, leaving small bands of humanity scrambling to find sanctuary from the hordes of unkillable monsters that reside in the darkness.
Keo is one of the few who made it through that harrowing first night. Trapped in a small town in Louisiana, he finds himself joining forces with a group of strangers to make sense of what’s happening.
Like thousands of others around the globe at that exact moment, Keo and his new allies will discover that braving the creature-infested first night is only the beginning. Every day from that moment on will be a struggle, and every night will be a nightmare.
Excellent characters in a dystopian world that I've come to enjoy! I like a competent hero who is still put to the test because no one is perfect. In a world gone mad, Keo ends up running from the black clad followers of a paramilitary madman by day and hiding from the deformed bloodsuckers by night. But it all comes to a head when the hunted has had enough and becomes the hunter. Another awesome story by Sisavath and I look forward to Keo joining the main Purge of Babylon story arc!
Really good to get to know Keo. Reading this is not a side distraction from the main series as some reviews suggest. It is good because it fills in the Keo background story. Enjoyed it.
Wow. This series keeps getting better with each book. The author outdid himself this time, I am not sure the next one can be any better but I am looking forward to finding out. This book was awesome and full of action. The characters were great!
-Fecking-Standing!!!! I've loved every book so far!!! Luckily, I find the next book to make it great!!!! Highly recommend reading books 1-3 first and then this double book, and THEN book 4!!!!!
This was what I shall call book four, although it was apparently written after the initial series. It was not what I would have expected from Mr. Sisavath if only because I have gotten used to the totally mind gripping writing he is famous for. Mr. Sisavath usually will grab your attention and not let go until the bitter end. I wish that had been the case with this book.
I guess the running joke of Keo never got old for me. I like that he basically becomes a bit of the anti hero. Looking forward to the next book. Character development in this book was good just like the first three books. Can't wait to start the next one.
I very much enjoyed this book. The Purge of Babylon is a great action series and Keo is probably one of my favorite characters, so it was nice to get an entire book from his point of view.
If you've got time to kill and enjoy comfortable action/adventure fiction, I would definitely recommend this series. You can even read this one first because the events take place during the same time as the first books of the original series. If you do, you'll probably find yourself missing Keo for the first few books of the original series.
I couldn't read Purge of Babylon fast enough. I stayed up late trying to find a slow stretch of story where I could pause without staying awake imagining what was going to happen next. That wasn't a concern while I was reading "Walls . . .". In fact I had trouble staying focused on the story during the daytime. The main character, Keo, isn't as engaging as Will and Danny from Purge. It didn't take long to get tired of the running joke about his name and his continuous calling of Norris, " old-timer" got on my last nerve. Norris is 56 for God's sake, not exactly ready for the nursing home! He calls Keo "kid" and even "whippersnapper". Even my 80 yr-old mom didn't use such archaic terminology. The dialogue was repetitious, sappy at times, and not comparable to that in "Purge". The entire storyline was one dimensional and lacked diversity. It's difficult to believe the author wrote this novel after "Purge" because of it's amateurish level of writing. I was disappointed and am uncertain I want to continue with the series.
