Intrigued By A Boss : A Detroit Love Story
Neicy is fed up with dating men that are heavy in the streets, so she has sworn them off for good. She’s tired of the lying, the cheating, and all of the other drama that comes along with being a hustler’s wifey. Keeping her word, she meets the handsome and hard working Tez. He owns his family’s construction business, and he treats her like a queen. But, when Boss barges into her life, her story quickly changes. Good girls love bad boys....
Neicy swore off dealing with hustlers and bad boys after having her heart broken one too many times. She was doing pretty good ignoring all of the guys "on the block" where she just moved, however Boss seemed to work his way pass the wall she had up. Boss knew he had to have Neicy when he first saw her but didn't take into account his relationship status which causes drama for all parties involved. Tez is the total opposite of Boss. He appears ready, willing, and able to give Neicy exactly what she wants, the only problem is, he isn't Boss! In this story we see Neicy's battle with infatuation vs. love.
Danielle Marcus did a great job delivering this story. The storyline was great with excellent character development and consistent details and narratives throughout the entire read. I recommend Intrigued By A Boss to any reader of urban fiction who enjoy a steady paced urban love drama.

"Pleasantly Surprised" 4.5 Stars
This read was a pleasant surprise for me. I didn't encounter a lot of grammatical and spelling errors and the storyline flowed. There was a small deviation from the typical "hood love story" which I applaud the author for. There is nothing more boring than an unauthentic plot that's predictable and this author managed to stray away from that. I will say that as interesting as the storyline was there were some scenes that fell flat for me. So although the book was good while I was reading, it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I will however read part 2 just to see how things turn out. Overall I would recommend this book to fellow readers.

Intrigued by a boss
This book was good. I thought that Niecy was very naive. I loved Tez and hope that they stay happy in there relationship. I felt bad for Toshi because she loved boss and it seem like he just don't care.

Omg.. This book was the bomb. I couldn’t put it down. I love Boss he was so sweet in his own little way. I think him and his wife had ran their course and it was over. I pray she don’t die cause I believe she didn’t know what was going on. He loves Neicy but she needs to stay with Tez

Now see this was a true page turner. You don't know what your missing out on. I'm not going to give out no pieces of this story. Everyone played a part in this book more ways then one.

Getting intrigued by the wrong boss is a disaster waiting to happen!
Being intrigued by a boss caused way too many problems. I liked Toshi but hated how much she loved Gavin and constantly put up with everything he threw her way. As for Niecy, instead of her going about her business she found herself caught up in the craziness surrounding Boss as well. I swear I wish I could reach through this book and punch Boss because no matter how good his woman was at home, he still didn't do right. LaSonya and Black both deserve whatever they end up getting. If LaSonya wasn't so thirsty then there never would've been any problems and Black allowed some ass to cloud his judgment. Killz was something else but I liked how he was always down for whatever. I didn't have too many issues with Tez but some things can really be too good to be true, so I have a feeling he may be just as street as Boss. Niecy so busy giving out the goods and now look at her! Boss straight pissed me off and I hope he doesn't do anything stupid. I can't wait for part 2 and see just how many more problems being intrigued by a boss causes.

Mouth dropper
IKYFL!!! Baby niecy done gave me all types of headaches being as confused as she is. Boss is just like all others want his cake and eat it too but he's met his bakers with both Toshi and Niecy. I felt so bad for Toshi because loving a person more than yourself can have you out here neglecting yourself. Boss I believed knew and felt that she was never going anywhere because she put up with so much from him. Lors only knows what Tez has going he seems just perfect Lasonya needs everything coming to her and Black baby this was indeed a read!!

Intrigued
I love this book. Neicy is one of my faves. Scarred by her ex she aims to run for thugs but runs right in the snare of Boss. Boss had no business messing with Neicy when he had a family at home. It was something about Neicy that kept him yearning for her. I feel sorry for his wife. She has been his ride or die and he is still not satisfied with just her. Tez seems life the perfect guy for Neicy but with a baby that may not be his what will happen at the end of the day. We already know Boss isn’t husband material but will he settle for just being a baby daddy?

Great love story! Every good girl has to have a bad boy at least once. Danielle nailed it with the storyline and the character development. Being a Detroit native, it's always a pleasure to read about familiar places. Niecy and Boss demand your attention from beginning to end, can't wait to read the rest of their story in part 2. I enjoyed this author and look forward to reading more of her work. I highly recommend this book.

Good
This was a good read for me. They were some minor errors but nothing too major. I enjoy the story loved line and was actually mad when the book finished. I can't believe GAVIN AKA BOSS was such a dam dog, but it's crazy because I love him and Neicey to be a couple. Anyway I can't wait to find out what happens next in book 2.

Satisfied Reader
Gavin is torn between the two. He needs to be single before pursuing the next woman. Niecy is now in a situation that she has to be careful with. Who will hold her heart. Tez seems to good to be true. Dee is playing a dangerous game. LaSonya jealous rants are honna get her and her brothers hurt.

Tez or Boss
Messy messy messy! Neicy really don't know what she wants, but I am here for The drama. Boss needs to do right by his wife and let Neicy be. Toshi is being played for a fool and don't have a clue. Lasonya doing to much all because a man didn't want her. Boss and Neicey do not needs to be together and that's how I feel. It's a good book

Well now I want to be intrigued by a boss. Neicy has herself in a nice little love triangle. Tez seems like he's cool but I feel like he's going to be worse for her than Boss and his situation. I can't wait for part II.

Nice read
Although I didn't really care for Boss and his cheating, I did enjoy reading the book. Neicy deserves happiness I hope she finds it with her confused self. Lol, another job well done Ms Marcus.
