Angie Daniels grew up on the South side of Chicago, Illinois. At a very early age, she spent nights creating soap operas with her younger sister until the two drifted off to sleep. Never did she realize that her longtime dream to become a published author would someday become a reality.
In 1999 Angie decided it was finally time to return to her love of writing. She took a year off to write her first book Intimate Intentions, which started off as a simple romance novel and later escalated into 542 pages of romantic suspense. After two submissions, Angie was offered a four-book contract with Genesis Press and her first book was released in 2001. In 2003, she also signed with BET Arabesque, and Kensington's Dafina imprint in 2004. In 2006, she added Parker Publishing, Aphrodisia and Harlequin Kimani Romance to her list. In 2010 she will release her twentieth novel. Angie currently resides in Missouri.
I waited years to read the next book in the Decadent Delight series, because I found Say my name enjoyable. However this book was just ok, and not worth the wait. First off this author has a habit of writing the most unlikable Heroines. I thought Berlin was unlikable, but Claudia made her look like an Angel. For most of the book she treated Max terrible, but in her head she kept saying how much she wanted him. It got tiring . And since the book was told from mostly her POV , you never really understand what Max liked, or loved about her. Yeah the sex was hot, but that's all they really shared. The edition of her ex- fiancee also annoyed me. Here she was giving Max a hard time about his situation, all the while running around with her ex. (Ugh just wrong). I see it looks like Trey and Mia may be next up, please don't turn her into your usual b--tch. The series has such great potential. With all these fine men , but I have yet to see where any of these heroines deserve them. Angie you can do better, because you have in other series.
I would have given this book a higher rating if Claudia wasn't so hypocritical and wishy-washy. I also have an issue with the hypocrisy in some romance books about the women cheating. Why is it okay for the h to be in a committed sexual relationship with one man but spend time with, give affection to, and engage in sexual activities (hand jobs, blow jobs, dry humping, kissing with and without clothes on) with another man not cheating? Yet if it's the H doing the same thing with another woman it's cheating?
I have been a fan of Ms. Daniels since my very first read.....can't wait to read more on all of these couples and the new ones that I'm sure will follow......keep up the GREAT work but PLEASE don't keep us waiting to long.......
I choose this rating because there's room for improvement. This book lacks romance and dialogue, sex does not equal romance. There not enough contents and some of it does not add up. E.g. Max's home that was left to by his grandfather, he could have bought it himself as he's soooo successful. The most glaring is why wait so long to do the DNA test, which could have done before or right after birth of the child.
This was a good read although there were several errors. Romance novels can be a bit predictable, but there was enough drama to keep it interesting. With that being said, with all that was going on with Max's baby's mama, the addition of Isaiah to the story wasn't needed. It was like he was just thrown in to add to the drama, but he could have been left out.
Christina and Max was hot!!! I loved this story. You never know where or when love will strike and I'm so glad Max ruffled Christina's feathers. This was a hot, steamy, and fun-filled story. I need to read the other books in this series.
Very interesting book, loved it. Loved the chemistry between Max and Claudia. Max and Parker grew up in foster care. If Max would have never said that he was a foster child would have never known it. Friends should never cross the line where sex becomes a part of friendship even if it is a one night stand. Max had a lot going on that was kept a secret and slowly revealed at the right moments. I don't know what to say about Parker. Max never gave up on Claudia. Loved the take charge attitude Claudia took with Max at Christina and Dereon's engagement party. There is no way that Parker I would have kept being friends after sleeping my boyfriend. I have heard about women like Parker. Men should be aware of women who have their condoms, some are upto no good like Parker. For Parker to stick holes thru the foil to puncture the condom to get pregnant, not a good idea. Max kept insisting that the baby Parker was carrying was not his. Glad the truth came out. Felt a little sad because Max kinda wanted lil Max to be his. Good thing it was not because Parker would have been a lot of trouble. I just knew that Claudia was in for some real trouble when the three guys beat her up, so glad that Max followed her and got their just in time to prevent the rape and worse of all to find out that Parker was behind it. Only a year in jail for Parker for what happened to Claudia not good.
I have been waiting for Max and Claudia's story and Ms. Daniels did not disappoint. Claudia was a tough one with her expectations, but Max was just as determined. He wanted a relationship with Claudia and secretly Claudia wanted the same. Throw in the baby mama drama, as well as another incident it all weaves into a interesting story. Love how Ms. Daniels showed Max's patience in how he handled Claudia and his other situation. Claudia did at times work a nerve and if that was Ms. Daniels goal, she succeeded. Truly loved the story and can't wait to see what happens next in the Decadent Delight series.
Angie Daniels has done it again ! Max and Claudia had a chemistry that is undeniable and electrifying. Claudia did not want Max because he could possibly be a father with a baby on the way. Max chased her until he got her where he wanted her and she could not deny him. This book is filled with love, passion, and hot scenes. This is a must read!
Love this book read the other books angie still got the touch you never know where love is waiting for you. Sometimes it can be right in front of your face
