Scorch is book three The Long Way Round series by Kait Gamble. The series is focused on a group of three girls searching for love and finding it where they least expect it. This story is about Chelsea.
Chelsea is starting over in life after she is dumped by her fiancé right before her wedding. Leaning on her friends, they help her out and she gets a job at one of the hottest restaurants in the city. After working for awhile, she is noticing Daniel the head chef, but he's barely said two words to her. Why is that??
Daniel is disciplined and therefore pretty quiet in the kitchen. He wants things done right and has no tolerance for anything but the best. He notices when Chelsea shows some interest. He's been biding his time because they all heard her story, and he didn't want to scare her off. Once Daniel goes after Chelsea full on, she's at his mercy. And oh heavens does she like it!
Chelsea and Daniel burned up the sheets in this one! Both think they will quench their thirst with one night of unbridled sex. Which turns into two, then three, then.. you get the picture. I loved watching this unfold. Chelsea is skittish-which is totally understandable, and Daniel is very patient with her. He has one goal and that is to make Chelsea feel good. After awhile, both want more but are afraid to voice it as they think the other will bolt! And just when you think they are getting closer, wham Chelsea's ex shows up! What does he want now?? What does Chelsea do? Is she still in love with him?? How does Daniel react? You need to pick this little gem up to find out the answers!! This is a quick and satisfying read! I wholeheartedly recommend Scorch and the entire Long Way Round series!
