Not what I was expecting..

I was really hoping for a "laugh-out-loud" comedy and this just wasn't it... I got 80% through and I just couldn't take it anymore. I rarely ever leave comments but I just had to give a warning.

Maggie is a woman in her mid-twenties, single and slighly overweight (according to her standards). She feels she is gives into what ever everyone wants of her. She even let her best friend, Gayle, talk her into doing a marathon even though she can even run for 1 minute. How is she going to run a marathon in a few months? So, she does what she does best, gives a little white lie. She tells Gayle that she joined a gym to get into shape. Not only did she tell her she joined, she bragged about how much she likes running on the treadmill. All that does, is get Gayle to talk her into running everyday with her, she is in deep and has to figure out what to do. So, she actually goes to a gym to sign up.

And what happens? She embarrases herself of course. She thinks a guy winks at her, so she winks back. Only to find out that he was winking to the thin blonde that had now come up to him and kissed him. Mortified, she goes to the treadmill, and to try to show off, starts running. She doesn't know why she did that, she just did. And it backfired. Big time. She flew right off the darn thing, landed right on her behind. Right in front of one of the most sexiest, handsome men she has ever laid eyes on. What does she do next? She just stares at him. LOL!! He hands her his card and extends his hand to help her up. Embarrassed beyond belief, she gets up, takes his card and practically runs out of there.

This kind of thing happens to her a lot. She doesn't know who that man was, why he would help her and why he handed her his card. She figures he is probably a fitness trainer and wanted to help her lose weight. She tells her friend and decides to call him and set up a lunch.

Since she had always been 'in love' with one of her male friends that she works with, she figues she would boast about the 'date' to them, and of course her friends show up where they are having lunch and Maggie proceeds to try to make Ben jealous by making a fool of herself with this handsome man.

She finds out just who the man from the gym is, and he goes along with her plan to try to make Ben jealous.

She even sets up an internet dating account to try to get her mind off Ben and use them to make him realize she is the one he wanted all along, not all the bimbos he has been dating. He never dates them past a month or so, he is a womanizer and she always hope that she would be the one to change all that for him.

This story has some great laugh out loud situations and worth the read for me.

I was given a copy of this book by the author for a honest review.

I loved this book.i loved that it had romance but kept me giggling all the way through.

I loved Maggie the main character. I feel like she was always doing crazy things to impress people, like we have all done if we would just admit to it. She's quirky and funny and I just loved her character. She gets herself in a mess by being tricked by her best friend Gayle to run a marathon. Maggie can't run for a minute let alone in a marathon but brags that she can and you know how bragging get you in big messes She had to join a gym to get in shape but ends up totally embarrassing herself by falling off the treadmill. Enter Blake, her brothers best friend, a part of their family before William as Maggie knew him moved away and made a career as a lawyer. Blake rescues Maggie after the treadmill falling and gives her a business card with his now name Blake on it. She though is unaware of Blake being William as she knew him growing up. Will she realize that Blake is William Will she see what's right in front of her and give up on the crazy hair brained schemes she's constantly getting herself into. Will she ever grow up.You have to read to find out. I'm not spoiling it for you.

I loved every second of this book. I love the mixture of laughs with the romance in the book. It's a easy fun read that had me laughing so hard and shaking my head at Maggie. If your looking for a fun read with characters you fall in love with grab Finding Mr Right and enjoy.

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Finding Mr. Right. Maggie is a down to earth girl, yet not your typical girl either. Maggie is one who is still trying to find her way and figure out what she wants when she meets Mr. Right. Maggie decides to join a gym and on her first day, she falls off a piece of equipment and then a very handsome guy walks over to her and helps her up. He hands her his phone number and tells her to call him. Maggie calls this mysterious guy and sets up a coffee date but she turns around and tells her best friend that its an actual date with a hot guy. Unbeknown to Maggie, her hot mystery guy she meets up with and kisses at the coffee shop, is actually her older brother's childhood best friend, her confidant from when she was younger. When she reconnects with her hot mystery man, Blake, sparks fly. Maggie realizes why all those years ago just why Blake was her only confidant. This book is about how one who is trying to find her way in a world without getting lost within herself by her daydreams and mischief. Beyond all the chaos, the daydreams and getting herself stuck in the craziest, and I mean craziest situations, Maggie grows up. I love this book by Katy Baron and highly recommend it.

Finding Mr. Right was an interesting read. There are two main characters Maggie Lane and Blake Connor. The story line is a a mix of a ROMCOM and the Twilight Zone in the best possible way. Maggie is a bit of a character, she's flighty to say the least, consumed with drama on a daily basis and a bit fickle when it comes to men. She's looking for her one true love to last her a lifetime and dreams of finding it with Bradley Cooper (and really who doesn't dream of Bradley Cooper, he's my go to man). What she finds is Blake Connor, her brothers best friend and the one boy who stood by her side growing up since she was 2 is something she didn't expect to find. Blake is a Hollywood lawyer who totally adores Maggie and will protect her through thick and thin and let's just say he has his work cut out for him. Through all of Maggie's ups and downs she turns to Blake for support and a shoulder to lean on and yes she begins to realize that Blake means more to her than just a friend but as usual she reads all the signs wrong and creates more drama than Blake can handle. It's time for Maggie to grow up and put her immature ways behind her or she may lose the only man that truly understand her.

Maggie has always been a little crazy her whole life. Blake was Best Friends with Maggie's brother and felt like family. Blake moved away and lost track of Maggie and her family.

Maggie's best friend, Gayle tricks her into running a marathon so Maggie joins a gym to try and get in shape but embarrasses herself by falling off the treadmill. Blake rescues Maggie and hands her a business card and asks her to call him. The problem is Maggie doesn't know who Blake is because she knew him as William growing up.

Maggie is a mess and very immature. The one person she is madly in love with treats her as his best friend and confident who he tells her all about her sexcapades.

Blake continually has to get Maggie out of very harebrained messes. After a couple of failed dating escapades, Maggie and Blake decide to give the girlfriend/boyfriend a whirl. Blake takes her on a business trip to London and Paris where trouble still follows her.

Do they get their HEA? Does Blake finally get tired of Maggie being so immature and walk away? To get the answers to these questions and so many more you will have...you must read this different kind of Romantic Comedy.

Maggie is a girl with lots of dreams. She wants to change her life and do big things, but doesn't seem to do anything about it. Her friend Gayle is always pushing her to get healthy and she is in love with her co worker Ben. She joins a gym and when she falls off the tread machine a very sexy and handsome man helps her up and gives her his card. She think he is a personal trainer wanting to help her out, so she calls and sets up to meet him for lunch. She didn't recognize Bake, as her brothers friend that she grew up with. He is now a successful lawyer and wants to reignite their friendship. He has missed her and she him. Will this relationship bloom to more? Though Maggie is kind of a scatterbrain I really enjoyed her character and growth in this story and the help of her friends along the way. Blake is one caring and sexy character. I enjoyed this book and read if super fast. I romantic read you will enjoy, with no explicit sex scenes.

This is a very sweet and funny love story. Maggie Lane is a great friend and she will do anything for them. She has many goals and will do anything to achieve them, but in the end the goofy lengths she takes constantly put her in precarious and funny situation that she needs saving from. A childhood friend shows up in her life, Blake he was her older brothers friend and treated her like a sister. Maggie does not recognize him at first when they meet at the gym and she thinks after he hands her his card he is either a trainer or wants to recruit her for the CIA. Little does Maggie know, Blake is trying to motivate and gently direct her life, trying to keep her focused & showing her support to help her to achieve her goal in becoming a writer. This story is very refreshing and will having laughing at times. Take a chance and find out if Maggie finds her Mr. Right.

This is a funny book with romance and crazy shenanigans by Maggie. Maggie has not followed through with a lot of things she has committed to in her life. One being the marathon and another her book she wants to write.
Gayle is her best friend and Blake is her friend from when she was younger, who was her brothers best friend. She has Gayle to keep on her about the marathon and Blake to keep on her about the book, so his friend can help her publish it.
This story keeps you guess what Maggie is going to do or get into next. There are times you just hope she learns her lesson and some you want to feel sorry for her that she keeps making mistakes, but a lot are funny. Many of the mistakes are when Maggie is trying to find Mr. Right.

Maggie always believed she wanted to marry Bradley Cooper, write books, lose weight, and be famous.

Gayle, Ben, and Blake wanted Maggie to stay out of awkward situations, stop causing trouble, be mature, finish things she started, and find love.

Maggie Lane’s misadventures are hilarious and many females over 25 probably can relate to her. Maggie has a vibrant imagination that leads her to random relationships and even being Maggie Cooper.

Blake is Maggie’s soulmate. He has listened and been there for her during her childhood. He motivates her to be a better person and follow her dreams. Most importantly he saves her from her shenanigans

Finding Mr. Right is a romantic comedy that keeps you entertained and wanting more. #TeamMaggie

A heartwarming laugh out loud romantic comedy!

Maggie is a girl who is often immature and doesn't always think things through. She has a lot of insecurities but if I'm honest it's what most women worry about. Her actions are sometimes a bit off the wall and they make you smack your head and say "what is she doing"! She has a lot of things going on in her life where she is trying to prove herself to other people instead of just doing what she wants. She thinks she wants one guy but it's obvious who she should really be with!

You will enjoy this hilarious journey of Maggie's and will realize that a lot of the things she does are sometimes things us women think about doing but just don't act upon!

Maggie is a bit scatter brained. Which is both endearing and sometimes annoying. She is in love with being in love. She is also dreamer, but not a doer. She is constantly coming up with schemes that do nothing but get her into trouble. The things she did made me laugh endlessly. Maggie also has issues with her weight and a friend tries to help her get off her butt and be active. Her friend in my opinion wasn't at times a good friend. Maggie meets a guy in the gym after she badly embarrasses herself and slowly they become friends. Friends leads to more and through all of the things Maggie goes through...remember she causes havoc wherever she goes.. He sticks by her side, always having her best interest at heart. So glad she gets the HEA she has always dreamed of.

I received an ARC for a honest review

Maggie has many dreams for her life. Her biggest is marrying Bradley Cooper. She is in love with her best friend Ben but he doesn't know. She doesn't like her size and what is going on with her life. Her best friend convinces her to train for a marathon.
Maggie can be a bit lost at times. She meets Blake at the gym, thinking he is a personal trainer or CIA recruiter. Turns out, he is her childhood friend.
This was a good story. It flowed nicely. You get to see Maggie struggle with writing a book and getting over her feelings for Ben. Then fighting her feelings for Blake. It has some twists and turns.

Started great, but ended ok.

The first 75% of this book was great. At least 4 stars. Maggie is hilarious and gets herself into all sorts of ridiculous situations. Things that only happen in books but make you laugh out loud. Then, Maggie starts self reflection and gets herself into more ridiculous situations, and it became tiresome. I also didn't like how Blake treated her, and how she was still trying to get him back, and her schemes in how to do that. And all was forgiven so easily. It was silly...and not in a cute way.

And I want to read the story within the story...the one Maggie was writing.

I received this book from the author in return for an honest review. I loved this book. It is hilarious. It is a romance, but one that will keep you laughing. Maggie is a very unique individual, that you will frequently say, I can't believe she did that. Blake used to be her brother's best friend when they were young, and has reconnected with Maggie Moo-Moo, and is now a lawyer. Will this develop into more than friendship? You need to read it to find out.

Maggie is looking for a boyfriend to make a coworker jealous. This is where her schemes begin. She is always looking for the easy way and her head is in the clouds. She reconnects with Blake her brothers best friend from childhood. But Blake is all grown up now and she realizes that she has feelings for him. This is a fun story and you can't help but laugh at some of the antics she gets herself into.

I received an advanced copy for my honest review. I loved it, title totally different than what J.S. normally writes, but I couldn't put it down. Maggie was so funny and clueless about Blake's feelings toward her. Also, Blake really did act like he was her big brother, trying to get her to do something with her life, she couldn't stay on task. I would read more stories like this from J.S., it really is a must read. As always J.S. has wowed me again.

The main character, Maggie, can be described in two words: hot mess. She's essentially a self-centered compulsive liar. The whole time I sat there thinking that she really needed to grow up. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. This is a fluffy, somewhat entertaining read, but my main issue is the fact that she never changes- despite what the other characters say. I would have liked the book much more if she did in fact stop acting like a 12 year old.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. I could relate to Maggie in a lot of ways. If only I had my own Blake. :) I laughed at Maggie's antics and was constantly wondering what she was going to get herself into next. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters in the book, like Maggie, Blake, Gayle, Ben, etc.

I am so disappointed. I did not think this was a romantic comedy. I felt the characters were as immature as teenagers. I am not going to waste any more time with this book. This will be on the very small shelf of "unfinished" I reserve for books that are terrible.
