Online gaming brought them together.

Small town Kansas girl Zoe Kearny never meant to befriend anyone in an online video game. But after a year of talking to Ben over the headset, he's traveled five hundred miles to meet her. Now she needs to prove to herself, and her two cynical friends, that a long distance relationship could work out, even if her violent ex-boyfriend works to ruin everything she's worked for.

Time can change a person, for better or worse.

He was proof of that.
Guilt-laden Benjamin Solmer hit the bottle hard after his brother died in a motorcycle accident two years ago. If he hadn't met Zoe online when he did, alcohol would've driven him to the grave. Now he knows there’s more to life than video games and playing guitar in a rock band. He’s ready to pursue love. But with Zoe's fear that long distance relationships don't work, and deeply guarded secrets she won't reveal, he worries maybe Zoe's not the one.

I've come to really enjoy reading anything by Kira Hillins stories the way that her stories lets you connect to characters are really enjoyable ,and her storyline will have you on the edge of your chair waiting to see what happens next. Poor Zoe Kearny looks a bit like she quiet a life ,but been in a small town doesn't help to.but underneath was a bigger problem. Benjamin has been her online gaming buddy for the last year, would like to meet her 'But as Ben suggests that he comes for a visit all hell breaks out from broken water pipes, black cats, accidents. someone trying to kidnap her, and more added to the mix here. But Zoe thought Ben 's place would be great, but things started to breaking down there also,so she was torn about what to do.The problem is one Nickolas who's an ex boyfriend who's violent ,most hated man who doesn't take "NO" for an answer, and soon she's scared. Both Ben and Zoe has demons that they need to over come, so that they can move forward so that they can show each other how they feel. And will they be able to deal with these horrible events that's happening ? I could tell you more but that would spoil it for you .And I highly recommend that you read this great story ,you won't be disappointed.

Once again Kira has given me a book that I could read and enjoy a lot. I hadnt been able to find a mystery/thriller that could hold my attention but this one did. There were some sex scenes in the book but it didnt distract from the read. I was able to connect with Zoe and feel for what she was going through. Ben and Zoe's long distance relationship really hit home with me and I could see a lot of the things I went through when I was in. I will make sure to keep an eye out for more from this author.

Take you Away by Kira Hillins was a great 5 star read.
Zoe is an online gamer who ends up meeting Benjamin through the online gaming.
Can a long distance relationship work for them?

Zoe has a sordid past that she is trying to move forward from. My heart really went out to what she endured. When her nightmare returns things start to happen, however he always seems to have an alibi. Will Zoe and Ben be able to move forward with their relationship?

This was a great read that really kept me on edge looking forward to see what was going to happen next. Take You Away has a topic that is a very serious issue and I commend Zoe for being a strong woman. Kira really draws you in with her writing and you don’t want to put it down. I suggest you 1-click and get started today. Thank you!

First of all, let me say, given all the explicit sexual warnings upfront, this story was nothing like I expected.

The first half of the book has no sex, because the poor young woman, Zoe, cannot get beyond her vicious assault, battery, and rape she endured 3 years prior. Nor was it a random attack. The assailant was her boyfriend, who turned ugly and mean when he was drunk.

His assault and rape gets him sent to prison for two years. He’s out on now and she’s terrified he’ll return to her town, so she spends most of her life hiding out in her house playing internet games with strangers.

Her game player asks to meet her; never mind they don’t live in the same state. She agrees and Ben and Zoe hit it off right away, but given her past, she goes really slow. After all, she once thought her EX a nice guy too.

Then her Ex returns to her town and trouble starts, but he keeps having alibis to prove it’s not him.

And I’ll stop sharing here. But if you are like me, you’ll be suspicious of everyone.

Of course she gets the pre-requisite restraining order, but they don’t work in real life or fiction.

Zoe is in serious danger. She’s got friends and of course her new boyfriend, Ben. But whoever is after her is not giving up.

I thoroughly enjoyed this mystery thriller. I’m not big on sexual details, but surprisingly this book never managed to gross me out. The focus remained on the plot, and the plot had nothing to do with sex. And while there is ample sex in the second half of this story, it was appropriate for the story.

Good thing too, because I could NOT put this book down. Fabulous from start to finish. 5 stars.

I loved how this book started. I immediately connected with the characters. It started with Zoe and Ben meeting online through a video game. I am a bit of a nerd and love playing video games so this captured me in from the start. Ben and Zoe had been playing video games for over a year when they started having feelings for one another. When Ben asked Zoe to meet in person, Zoe was so excited. She always dreamed of meeting Ben,but never thought her dream would become a reality. Once Ben and Zoe met, things started to take off and quickly they started falling in love. Zoe was head over heels for Ben, but was terrified because of her past. Zoe shared everything with been except her abusive ex and her traumatizing past. Quickly things start taking a turn for the worse and things Ben thought were coincidences were actual planned out by her ex. Zoe is afraid of her ex and how far he is willing to go to get her back. Would Zoe and Ben get their happy ever after or would their fairy tale have a tragic ending? I loved almost everything about this book. The one thing I didn't like was how fast their relationship happened because it isn't realistic. Also, who would just let a stranger show up at their apartment never meeting them. Other than that the writing was good and the ending couldn't have been more perfect. This book was reviewed for HeadTripping Books by Leandra.

What a ride!!
Take You Away started off innocent enough and I wasn't sure what to expect from this book.
Zoe Kearny looked like she had a quiet life in a small town but underneath there was a bigger threat lurking.
Benjamin Solmer, Zoe's online gaming buddy has played with her for over a year. And he wants meet her.
When Ben suggests a visit to see her, things start going awry. From bursting water, black cats, accidents, attempted kidnapping, and much more to throw in the mix.
Zoe thought the plan to go to Ben's house would be just great, but things like the list above start happening and she's torn with what to do.
The lurking threat is Nicholas. Violent, hateful man that he is, just doesn't take the hint and when things turn bad for Zoe, Nicholas always comes to mind.
Both Ben and Zoe have issues they are trying to overcome but will they be able to get passed the hurt and show each other how they feel.
Will this rollercoaster ride ever end? How will Ben and Zoe survive these disastrous events?
Will they ever get their HEA?

I really enjoyed this story. The characters had a great chemistry and the story flowed with a great speed.
I loved the events that happened along the way and the suspense gripped your attention to want to know what happens next. Very well written and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

This was a great book that provided me with all the twist and turns that a girl could ask for in a book. The author knows what she is doing when writing her characters and giving them a real life feel. I was able to relate to these characters, enjoy the good times, yell in the bad, and cry at the worst times.
This book revolves around two people who were on different paths in life and found each other. Ben is the most sweet and understanding man, while Zoe is confused and doesn’t fully trust herself. These characters both have baggage but the author did a great job navigating the subject matter and bringing it to the light in a respectful way.

The only thing that I didn’t like about the book was the secondary characters not playing a bigger role. I feel that the author could have a series in her hands if she would develop them.

I give this book 4 diamonds and can’t wait to read more.

Four Great Stars! Zoe enjoyed playing the video where she met Benjamin, she wants to take a chance on him even though it will be a long distance relationship which she is unsure of. Benjamin is still suffering from the tragic death of his brother, and he has been drinking ever since his death. He meets Zoe playing a video game and this gives him great hope. Zoe has secrets that involve a violent ex-boyfriend, will a long distance relationship work with Benjamin and what about her hidden secrets? The author does a great job writing this story and writes a story that has plenty of twists and turns that keep you wanting to know what happens next. I enjoyed the characters and their interactions with one another. I recommend It!

This was a wonderful mystery of a story and the conflict that they go through to get past. Zoe has had a hard time getting the past hurt and abuse she was subject to by her ex-boyfriend. When Zoe meets Ben online playing video games, they feel a click and connect between them. Zoe has strong feeling for Ben, but she is having hard time moving past things. Things are happening that make you think karma kicking in, the twist and urns to solve the mystery of these things. Will Ben be willing to save and give Zoe a loving relationship? Recommend this book
