Having read book one of the Battle of the Blocks series, Descent into Overworld, with my class earlier in the year, we all waited anxiously for the release of the second book in the series to see what would happen next.

We were pleased to be granted access to the book as beta readers this spring, and were thoroughly enthralled with the story as the adventure moved from the Overworld into the Nether. We managed to finish book two before the end of the school year and were excited to have the opportunity its to Skype with the author, Liam O'Donnell, who answered our questions and graciously accepted our feedback on the book. I'm looking forward to adding print copies to my classroom and school library. The kids will be equally excited!

Nether Nightmare successfully escalates the conflicts established in the first book, further develops the characters and vividly portrays the Minecraft environment and various elements that are so familiar to kids (and adults) used to playing the game.

We all enjoyed Nether Nightmare and are now awaiting the pending release of the third book in the series!

Write on, Liam!

Another book that the Minecraft-crazy Elis Kidz loved. Now they must experience the pain of anxiously awaiting the next book in the series!
