Linda was born in Swindon. Her family moved to Ely in Cambridgeshire when she was nine, and Linda attended the local school but left at fifteen to work as a hairdresser in her father's business. She was married at eighteen and ran her own hairdressing business for some years before moving to Cambridge, although Linda has now moved to somewhere a bit quieter in Cambridgeshire. She started writing in 1976, combining this with helping her husband to run his antique shop.
Writing as Anne Herries, Linda won the 2004 RNA Romance Award and the Betty Neels Trophy. She lives in Cambridgeshire. After many happy years of taking their holidays in Spain she and her husband, now have a second home in Norfolk. Being only a short drive, they can visit for a few days at a time, which suits their busy lifestyle these days. They are only just across the road from the sea, and can see it from their windows. At home and at the sea they enjoy watching the wildlife and have many visitors to their gardens, particularly squirrels. Anne loves watching their antics and spoils both them and her birds shamelessly. She also loves to see the flocks of geese and other birds flying in over the sea during the autumn, to winter in the milder climes of this country. Anne loves to write about the beauty of nature and sometimes puts a little into her books, though they are mostly about love and romance. She writes for her own enjoyment and to give pleasure to her readers.

This r a much read story.I would have to say it is a running the between blueberry lane and Emma's trilogy.this woman writing is spot on.the development of her characters.I could n o t wait to read the next book.I was brought back to that era very easily.so if you ?like turn of the century stories this is one.I laughed and cried and was sorry it ended

Excellent end to the trilogy
With these books, you can easily understand the characters and the times they live in. Understand their motives and their stories. You are rooting for a good end after all the travail and emotions of the past.
Any book by Rosie Clarke is good and worth a solid 5 stars as they are comfortable reading, and the characters are believable. One day perhaps we could see more about Emma and her family.
Highly recommended.

Highly recommended
This is the last in the Emma series, where everything comes together. I could not put it down. Rosie Clarke always delivers with her books and I highly recommend this trilogy to fans of her writing. It follows the story of a young girl who grows up downtrodden who, through determination makes her life a success.

Good
i enjoyed the Emma trilogy but found as I went along that story was very similar to the story in the 'Rosie' trilogy books also by Rosie Clarke which might put me off reading any more in future unfortunately!

Another nice read from Rosie Clarke
Plagued by loss and sadness throughout her life, will Emma ever find true happiness in her life. The author manages to keep you turning the pages happily to the end and looking forward to finding another book of hers.

All 3 Books were brilliant ,once you started reading first one I could not put it down.then you had to read second one ,then third one it was great ,a happy ending!Loved them all .

Emma has given up the love of her life to stay with Jon after all the help he gave her she picked loyalty over her own feelings. Jon decides to move to the sea to have peace and quiet while he writes leaving Emma in London to run her business and look after James and Lizzy. Jack marries a young girl who falls pregnant with his child and finds out she has heart problems so yet again Emma and Jack are not to be together. This was a good trilogy following Emma's life I won't give any spoilers to say how things go. Read the books you won't be disappointed

A great trilogy
I really enjoyed trilogy by Rosie Clarke. Great storyline.Couldn't put it down, always dying to get to the next book to see how Emma's life was progressing. Thoroughly enjoyable.
