I spent six years avoiding my billionaire ex-fiancé. Then our old dog couldn’t breathe. And I ended up in the emergency lobby of the hospital Nolan owns.
Scrubs half unzipped. Silver at his temples. Broader than the man I left.
Nolan stops across the room. He waits. Then asks if I want him gone.
I should say yes. I built a company and a life that are mine. I didn’t work this hard to hand either one over.
But he still hasn’t touched me. And somehow, he already has me thinking about the home we never finished.
Wanting Nolan again is dangerous enough. Trusting him with my future might be the one risk I can’t take.
There is no better way on a cool Fall evening than staying inside and reading this book by Ava. I found that Nolan and Willa are two characters that will make your evening reading about their second chance at romance. I actually think I fell in love with Biscuit (the dog) before I fell in love with Nolan. The way Ava writes this book deserves a round of applause due to it being a very engaging and addictive read.
