This complete edition contains all 6 books of Sold to the Alpha. It’s the full story of sexy, curvaceous Avelyn and her hot Alpha, Max Blackmane. No cliffhangers!

Avelyn is a shifter bride, which means she has been raised and educated to become the wife of a shape-shifter and bear his children. The problem is that she doesn’t want to accept this fate. She will do everything in her power to gain her freedom and build a new life far away from shape-shifters and what society expects of her.

Alpha werewolf Max Blackmane is in search of a bride. When he comes to Alma Venus Boarding School, one of the best schools for shifter brides in the world, he is determined to buy a young woman who would bring him political advantages. However, when he sees Avelyn, his plans are turned upside down. He can’t imagine his life without her.

Avelyn uses every trick to convince Max to buy another bride. It doesn’t matter that his perfect body and smooth voice make her weak in the knees. She has a dream, and her dream does not include a wolf-shifter who thinks he can simply own her because the peace treaty between humans and shape-shifters says so.

This book contains explicit language and sizzling hot scenes that might set your Kindle on fire. Intended for readers 18+.

I absolutely LOVE reading a series once they are finished & all together & "Sold to the Alpha" is no different. I loved reading all 6 installments, waiting for the next to be released, even with the cliffhangers at the ends... but this makes everything all worth it.

From the very start of Avelyn & Max's story I was drawn into the WHOLE story, from the detailed characters, rich landscapes descriptions, to the histories... let's not forget the detailed sex scenes. With such vivid information, it felt like I was truely there thoughout it all. I also loved how not every important piece of information that needed to be known was given up front, we had to wait till just near the end of the book to finally know ALL the details. Cara lets you have the snippets you need just to keep reading, feeding you like an addiction until to end.

I couldn't put this book down from start to finish & really wish to learn more about the Dragon clans & also Max's brother & sister.

I really pondered over what I should give this book as a rating but I think I enjoyed it enough to give it solid 3 stars, it had a decent world building, there were some politics going on, a lot of smut in my opinion and the plot well, it was fine.

onto the characters, I genuinely found Avelyn an annoying charavter at the beginning, I understood her motives but it was just surreal to realise you have fallen in love with someone but still want to run away and not give him the benefit of the doubt. There was an emotional dump throughout the whole book that just basically summed up that Avelyn didn't know how she felt or how to feel which I understood. Overall I liked was her determination and her will to stay strong all the way.

Maxwell was a boring alpha, here, I said it. He was protective and sorry all the way which wasn't bad, but it was kinda boring a bit but still cute. Jocelyn is my fav character in this book I think.

The ending so predictable, so expected but it was appropriate in a way.

Love Found

I really enjoyed this book and am excited to read the rest of this tantalizing series of magnificent shifters and their elusive brides. Sold to the Alpha is an incredible story of a spirited female who really isn't looking for a Mate, but freedom. But when she is finally "bought" just months before her 25th Birthday, she is incensed at the Alpha who decided to have her regardless of her feelings. As their story continues she is faced with trials and tribulations not only from within the pack, but from within herself as well. By the time she realizes how much she truly cares for for her Mate it may be too late. With a psychotic she-wolf is on the warpath to see her dead. Follow along with this magnificent beginning of an amazing series! Well Done! 🌺🌶🌺🌶

First time read.

It was my first time reading anything werewolf related or anything like that. I was pretty impressed with the writing. I cannot complain at all. Great story would of changed things a bit but ultimately it was a good story. Hoping for a spin off.

Sold to the Alpha:Complete Addition has books 1-6 of Avelyn and her hunky Alpha wolf Max Blackmane by author Cara Wylde. Each book takes us deeper into the lives of these two. We start off in book one with Avelyn just wanting to be free. She is in a boarding school for girls, who are trained to be brides for shifters. The house she is trained for is fox shifters. But she doesn’t want to trapped by being a slave to an Alpha. She wants to be free, free to be her own person. She has her little rebellious ways like failing everything they try to make her do. Getting chubby, being sarcastic, but these things eventually attract the very thing she doesn’t want, a mate.
Max loves how rebellious Avelyn is. He searches high and low to discover she is a vixen bride. Well he won’t let a little thing like her not being bred to be a wolf bride get in his way. He takes her against her will and makes her his. Now when I say take I don’t mean sexually he just buys her when Avelyn says she doesn’t want him (but she really does want him).
The push and pull of who is more dominate really rules book one. Avelyn is no push over but neither is Max is love enough to keep these two together forever?
In book two we see Avelyn try to settle in. Max’s sister though she is not making that job easy at all. Avelyn still is feisty but she is willing to admit she loves Max. Max has to learn to let Avelyn in, and trust her or he just might lose her forever.
In book three we get to see more of pack life, and a special secret. A secret that almost tears Max and Avelyn apart. In books 4-6 we are really getting into more of pack life, and how that effects Avelyn and Max. I like how Avelyn doesn’t lose her spirit or feistiness as Max’s wife. In books 5-6 there are a lot emotional ups and downs. Ending in book six with a beautiful, sweet, romantic ending that will stay with me forever.
When you want a full complete story of two people, how they meet to how they live happily ever after this is the set of books to pick up.

This was an amazing set of books. The story for lack
of a better word is Phenomenal. The Cara has a way with
dragging you into the story, and keeping you held hostage
till you finish the book. I got this series as the boxed set,
I can not imagine if I had to wait for each book, I may have
very well pulled my hair out waiting to see what happened.
This series is a new take on how the our world and the
shifter's have learned to co-exist after a long war.
It was engaging, funny, sad at some spots, and sexy
as Hades. I loved Avelyn she is a big girl by choice,
She drove the boarding house she stayed in crazy.
She did everything she could not to be bought.
But that back fired on her. When Max first sees
her in the garden he can not think of having anyone else.
And did not care what anyone else thought. Max is one of
those characters you cannot help but falling for him as he
falls for Avelyn. And maybe she for him. Later in the series
(as all good books do) something terible happens, And max
will move heaven and earth to fix things. Lets just say I loved
every minute of this book, and can not wait to read Amelia’s
Story. Now I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
If you do like this book, please consider leaving a review.
The Authors really like it when you do, they value your
opinions too.

This is a complete set of books that take you on a riveting journey of an Alpha named Maxwell Blackmane and a human bride that he bought named Avelyn.

Avelyn was a advantageous spirited girl She was sold to a boarding school that raised humans to be the perfect bride for different shape shifter clans. Except Avelyn couldn't accept this practice and tried to escape the school before she is bought. She was unsuccessful when Max saw her and decided he had to have her. When she went to live with him she was always thinking about trying to find a way to escape. But what she found in her exploring would lead her on something that was totally not what she was expecting. Will she ever give Max a true try or will she believe what others tell her.

Max was the alpha of three clans. They may have been his brother's and sister's clans but it was still quite a feat for him. When he was heading to one of his many business trips it became clear to him that he needed to take a bride. He stopped at a school that raised them for clans. He saw a human he wanted but she wasn't matched to the werewolves shifter but that didn't matter to him. He bought her and took her back to his clan. The journey of them together began. It was rocky but would it ever get easy. Would lies and secrets be revealed? Would they destroy Max and Avelyn's love or would it survive? What secrets could Max be hiding?

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Cara Wylde. This is the complete set of series books 1-6 in the series by the author.

Trapped in a Gilded Cage
Avelyn is not looking for an alpha but Maz Blackmane is looking for a human wife.

The Other Bride
Avelyn finds Max's first wife locked up in the basement.

Night of the She-Wolf
Tricked into letting Sabine escape, she turns on Avelyn with dire consequences.

A Cure for the Broken
Can the doctor hold the cure for Avelyn or will she turn.

Call of Revenge
Can Max protect Avelyn and his unborn child from Sabine's revenge.

Of Wolves and Dragons
The council holds the Blackmanes in limbo until they reach a verdict.

I loved the story line flow in the book. It was smooth sailing from start to finish. Each book keeps getting better then the next book. So much action, drama, suspense and romance in these pages.

This book set is for any mature paranormal romance book reader.

Overall the series was decent enough as well as the writing.

The story was enjoyable, entertaining but not really impressive. As it progressed it became quite boring at parts because the balance between action and story progression was not well executed. I also think that the amount of characters was overwhelming and it didn't really help with the development of any of them. Nevertheless, I had fun reading it.

Simple storyline.

the one fucking book where the H is immediately practically groveling for punishment and the god damn h just keeps waving his bad judgements away, just to later obsess over something new but all while having hard sex all over the place and maintaining a complete emotional relationship with the H.......*sigh* ridiculous, I'm exhausted by explaining it even. it's unimaginable to think this story line even plausible!!!

A different approach to werewolf brides but almost the same, it was like old wine in a new glass - the humans studying in Alma Venus were offered to the shifter communities as bride.
Avelyn, a strong girl and student of Alma Venus did not like the concept of being "sold" to anyone, so she did her best to sabotage her interviews and therefore was about to turn 25 and still unsold. She thought she was near her freedom when Alpha Maxwell spoted her and bought her. She fights as much as she can and tries to run away. The entire story is about how she wants her independence which she thinks is going to give her happiness and then she falls for her buyer and how the meaning of happiness changes for her and how she becomes insecure and tries to deny it. That was a part beautifully written by the author and clearly conveyed Avelyn's feelings. Then she discovers a dark secret of the clan. She is misguided and hurts many people, including herself. The last books demonstrate the fight and all the political issues that threaten the positions of some of the shifter communities and the peace treaty between humans and shifters as well.
What I liked and disliked :
1) Feelings were beautifully portrayed. Cara Wylde is definitely a skilled author who could convey her characters' feelings - pain, despair, sympathy, regret extremely well. (Would not say the same about happiness though.)
2) I liked the concept of house division in the boarding school.
3) The unique traits, culture and traditions of each shifter community.
4) Too much mature content, I got disinterested after some time and skipped those parts totally.

Is there such a thing as too many sex scenes? I rather enjoyed the first few....diiirrrtttyyy! ;) buttt....
Cons:
I am no prude by any means but after SO many Sex scenes I got pretty bored with constantly reading about her “juices.” God, it just got a bit gross really so give it a rest already. I ended up skipping over several of them & that helped. Smoking hot sex scenes should be pleasantly peppered into a story, not saturating the whole thing! Additionally the “alpha” was no alpha. He seemed like a nice guy but rather weak & kinda pathetic really. Licking her heels...ummm, no alpha of mine. So yeah, I definitely couldn’t picture him as a leader! Don’t get me started on the “heroine,” I have nothing good to say. She was %100 unlikeable imo.

This long book started to drag a bit about halfway through. We get it, you are in a love/hate relationship with the bedroom you’re stuck in. Having to read about that for a million chapters, wears on ya’!

Pros:
Otherwise....I will say that this book did have several interesting characters! The Alma Venus setting preps you for additional character development in so much that I went ahead and gave the second book a go, not terrible btw. A few of the conflicts the H/H face are also interesting. This is mainly a beginner storyline that introduces the world, characters and conflicts you will see through the series. This first book of the series builds the foundation for the following books.

Overall:
Anyway....if you want a book that is chocked full o’ nuts (uh, see what I did there lol) and you wanna head home to shag your hubby every day of the week (I recommend that highly btw) ;) then yes, give this libido booster a go! If you want a book with a relatable cool-ass heroine and a strong lead alpha, not so much.

This book was good!

I genuinely liked the concept of bride school, shifters and everything overall. I also liked Avelyn too, except for the end of the book where she was so against Sabine being killed off, because wtf? She obviously manipulated the shit out of you, she kidnapped people forced them to be turned, killed people and just overall was ape shit crazy and she STILL IS LIKE: aww, noooo, Sabine! Don't hurt her, UwU, UwU.

Like, c'mon. For the most part she's cool and smart, but this is genuinely stupid from her side. Also, Max... he's cool, but as someone have pointed out in reviews, he's bit boring. Just a bit. I am not big fan of their relationship, though, which is the biggest minus in this entire book. It felt like both their free time hobby was just f*cking and that's it. I felt like there were not much or atleast enough getting to know each other or building up the romance and love, without almost straight away making Avelyn's "panties drenched wet". Because, the heck, I've read that sentence too many times in this book. Not to mention her juices constantly covering Max's beard all the time, because, as I mentioned, their free time hobby was just fking.

Personally, at first smut was enjoyable, but at some point it was way too much in book so at the end of it I started to skip parts about, because we GET IT. We get it, they're so crazy for each other that they shag each night.

But aside that, I liked the book. Liked Avelyn and her friends the most. Max so so.

So this is my first “Shifter Romance” book. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing this book was. Avelyn is at a boarding school for “shifter brides.” Avelyn does not want to be sold to a shifter, she wants freedom. A life of her own, far away from shifters and her school. To avoid being bought as a bride, she has been sabotaging all suitor interviews. She would act out, act naive and dumb, and even went as far as to gain a bunch of weight to become undesirable….and it worked. Until the sexy Alpha wolf Max Blackmane shows up. Max sees Avelyn and instantly feels the attraction. He loves her attitude, her beauty, and her curves. Avelyn feels an instant spark with Max. She knows there's….something there. Avelyn is not what Max expected to bring back to his clan, but he knows he has to have her. Going home and marrying Max, the sexy Alpha, is not in her plans but she has no choice. Avelyn still has plans of her own though….shes determined to find a way out of this. But will she be able to leave her alpha behind? Will she want to abandon his love and friendship??

I haven't been so wrapped up in a fantasy type book in so long. I needed to see what happens next over and over again. The heat between this Apha and his mate is scorching! There is love, sex, action, suspense, and so much more!!

I'm a little torn on this book.

I used to read these kind of books a lot when I was younger. Give me anything fantasy and I read it up.

However now I'm a little more particular.

Overall it was a decent story. I might not be into the slave bride kind of troupe but it wasn't too bad in this one.

There were way too many spicy scenes. One or two is acceptable but I had to flip through way to many pages to skip them. There was no purpose to so many. I just wanted to get past them to get back to the story and find out whats next.

The main character was just annoying to me. In the beginning she comes off as this smart, independent, no nonsense woman but almost immediately she proves it's all a facade. She is way too naive and just believes what ever is said. It makes her just rollercoaster all over.

It took a little to long to get the story going for my like though. It was just a bit too long. It read like a YA book, which I normally don't mind but I'm on the fence for this one.

Overall I liked it enough. The world it's creating is interesting. I may give it a chance and read the next one.

Sold To The Alpha

I truly enjoyed this book. Great world building. Interesting premise of a post war society that has promised human brides to shifters in order to keep a peace treaty. Said brides are educated and sequestered together until they’re bought by shifters. I liked the MMC, Max, but the FMC, Avelyn, was a bit of a spoiled brat for where she actually came from. She really did act like a spoiled princess for much of the book. She also refused to hold a grudge even when the person made it their life effort to kill her and her unborn baby, which I felt didn’t mesh with her ultra strong character vibe in the beginning of the book. I really wanted to like her but she was so set against staying with a man she was loved by and who treated her like a queen, and then wanted complete pacifism from predator shifters for someone that was a serial murderer and completely unredeemable.
Having said all that, it’s still worth diving into this world. The plot is good and there is an HEA.

Weakness is not a virtue

These could have been interesting stories if it were not for the tendency of this author, aaaas with other female authors in this genre to render everyone a toothless idiot when difficult decisions need to be made. At the point where the protagonists were willing to sacrifice everyone else's lives to save a mentally unsound individual I lost interest. It's depictions like these, rendering women weak and spineless and praising their male partners for being the same, that give support to the claims that women should not be given positions of strength in combat. Bratty defiance is not strength, the ability to make the difficult calls in life is. Allowing a mass murderer who is intent on killing you and everyone you love to go free because she's your friend is simply stupid. I couldn't come back from the depth of the hero and heroines stupidity.

Almost perfect

Great story! A few negatives:
1) Karl needed to die. I am not sure why no one but the villian blamed Karl for everything that happened, but every event stemmed from Karl's deliberate attack on an innocent farming community. He should have died and I feel like I had no closure there;
2) The story was so good that about half to 75% of the s@# scene could have been eliminated. Sometimes we read for smut, but this was actually a really good story that didn't need the s scenes as filler;
3) If a woman is trying to not get pregnant, we don't say "she is trying not to REMAIN pregnant". "Remain" pregnant implies she is contemplating termination of pregnancy (which was not the case here). Little incorrect word choices were annoying, but can be overlooked.

Otherwise, excellent book!

Book Review

Wow! This book, or rather series of books , were very very easy to get into! The storyline just kept growing, and they twists and turns were well thought out! The fmc, well I liked her in the beginning, but as I got deeper into the series, I began to realize that she seemed to be a holier than thou kind of person! Earlier in the book series, she was a very fiesty, sassy young woman, and put up a good gight, fighting her attraction to her mc. However, later on in the series, she just seems to have become a besotted young woman, who seemed to believe everything the m&s told her!!! However, this did not detract from the story, and I soon started to like her again, near the end of the series. This is such a good series, I highly recommend it to all you ladies out there!!!

Mixed feelings

So I went into the book after looking for a wolf shifter romance. I read reviews and came across one saying that there was too much sex and not enough story. After finally finishing I agree. I had to start skipping scenes halfway through.

I enjoyed the overall storyline but it was a hard book to get through because it was unnecessarily long. If it had less sex scenes (which did not enhance the storyline for as many as there was) it would have been a better book.

I am in no way against sex in books but it really got to the point where it was like ugh again?!? I just want to know what happens next not be interrupted by sex every chapter.

I'm going to try and continue the series but this has definitely soured me some.

Mixed Interesting View

This book took me by surprise I’ve read many werewolves books and what I found interesting was how the main woman character was not referred to as a Luna even though their considered human? She fits everything that a Luna would be have those submissive times but also standing and holding her ground. For me I’m use to reading wolf books where the woman tries to do things her way and not listen. The steamy parts were just that steamy nothing that isn’t seen on tv :) My only down part was the way it ended to me it ended to abruptly but other than that I really enjoyed the book.

I love the fact that the whole story is in one book and I didn't have to wait for the next installment. And although not all of the girls feel like they are friends, they are and even when they don't agree, they support each other. I also love the fact that the head mistress can bend the rules when needed although it takes a bit of persuasion. The love story is bumpy which is to be expected as is the family conflicts and I love the little twists and turns in the story. I can't wait to read the rest of the series.

DNF at 29%. I didn’t like Avelyn at all. She’s just not likable in any sense of the word. She’s childish and she’s been a liar her entire life. It’s ridiculous that she’d think in that type of society that she could go to Italy and open a bakery and survive on her own. Just stupid. I didn’t like that the hero fell for her almost immediately, and she was sleeping with him, lying to him, and still plotting to get away. I’d rather she’d grudgingly settled in and had trials and tribulations learning to live with the wolves. Don’t care to read the rest.

Steamy BBW romance novel.

I chose this book because there is not enough representation of curvy women in romance novels. This hit all the marks - sexy man who appreciates and loves his bride and a bride who had to be forced to mature. The sex is always steamy and descriptive. This is for young adults and for any BBW who dreams of romance and a great sex life. I liked the storyline and the concept of the shifter bride books. There were a few proofreading errors that took away from the quality of this book. Otherwise this would have been a 5 star review for certain!

Every book was more exciting than the next.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The fantasy paranormal with the normal that becomes abnormal had me entranced from beginning to end. Even though I feel that the book was a little over sexed the characters of the book pull you in to their love life as well as their many battles to make sure the safety of one woman.Whom they all adored. I would recommend reading this book but make sure you have plenty of time and snacks. Its like taking your imagination into another realm.

Alphabet men!!!

This is a reread; I have been hunting for this series again for 4 or 5 years. The other night. I found a way to explore my old reading list and very quickly placed them all in my book wants so I never lose them again or till I buy them. But I love we have many issues to overcome in this book as with most. But I was very happy to see a non size to woman to root for. And for a virgin. Omg the internet research she did and was comfortable with OH MY. Definitely CLITSTORY!!!!
