About the author

Dr. Osamu Tezuka (手塚治虫) was a Japanese manga artist, animator, producer and medical doctor, although he never practiced medicine. Born in Osaka Prefecture, he is best known as the creator of Astro Boy and Kimba the White Lion. He is often credited as the "Father of Anime", and is often considered the Japanese equivalent to Walt Disney, who served as a major inspiration during his formative years. His prolific output, pioneering techniques, and innovative redefinitions of genres earned him such titles as "the father of manga" and "the God of Manga."

Zaskakujący zbiór Tezuki, w którym główną rolę gra życiowy przegryw przeżywający sporo abstrakcyjnych przygód. Za czasem mniej, a czasem bardziej zabawnymi opowiadaniami kryją się kompleksy japońskiego społeczeństwa z tematami seksu czy biedy na czele. Trochę niższych lotów są końcowe historie osadzone w czasach minionych, a sytuacji nie poprawia momentami kuriozalne tłumaczenie ("banan na ryju", "Ostry cień mgły"), które średnio pasuje do historii powstałych w latach 70-tych, ale wrażenie ogólne nawet ok.

Viste le premesse mi aspettavo qualcosa di più incisivo. Fusuke vuole essere una critica alla società giapponese sotto diversi punti. Il protagonista è un impiegato qualunque la cui vita monotona e grigia viene sconvolta dalla presenza di creature ed eventi bizzarri. Alcune storie sono "normali", altre proprio ho fatto fatica a finirle. Il modo in cui qui si gioca con alcuni temi non ha incontrato i miei gusti così come l'umorismo generale e i riferimenti sessuali. Peccato

Un vrai moment de détente, quelques petites perles (notamment "Foutez-moi le camp", "Histoire de tortue" et "l'archipel nudiste").
