How far will they go for love?
Jayson

I've done bad things in the past. VERY bad things. Things that I've done time for.

I've spent years putting all that behind me, though, and I've been focusing on becoming a better man.

My family relies on me and my construction business, especially my ailing mother who is in so much pain she can barely move.

Now Kit comes into my life, with all the idealism and fresh dreams that can be expected of a girl college-aged girl from a wealthy background.

She's also got a body to die for and an amazing personality, just the kind of distraction that I was looking to avoid.

But I can't get hurt again, and I can't let someone into my life. It's too risky for both of us, and she might find out about what I've done.

There's no way I can let this happen, even though my heart is screaming otherwise...

Kitrina

I'm finally going to get out from under the tyrannical rule of my overbearing mother.

I'm starting college and I've got my eye on a fixer-upper house, the perfect canvas for my interior design skills.

While I've had boyfriends in the past, I'm avoiding all of that right now so that I can focus on my studies and career.

I thought nothing could distract me, not even Jayson.

Sure, he's cut from marble, but he's totally not my type. He's a little older, and clearly a bad boy that has probably broken more than a few hearts.

I'm too focused to get mixed up in that right now. Anyway, my mother would absolutely detest him.

But damn, he is so hard to ignore. His gorgeous body is outdone only by his bold personality.

This is a man who knows what he wants, and I'm more than a little worried that what he wants is me.

I don't think I could say no to him, so I better be careful.

Jayson is a full length, standalone novel with no cliffhangers. It features some very steamy scenes and more than enough delicious, hot passion and emotion to keep your heart beating fast!

I have got to say that out of all the books I have read so far this book has got to be one of the best ones thus far. And I have read quite a few over the past few ones. I love the chemistry between Kit and Jayson and how Nicole Hughes captured it. From the very beginning of the book you get hooked and don't want to put it down. The way she goes into detail about there relations to just about everything. If you want a good book to read with a sizzle I definitely 100% recommend this book to read. I can't wait to read more of what she has written because if it's anything like this book she will most definitely be one of my top authors in this genre.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read by Nicole Hughes and I really enjoyed getting to know Jayson. His drive and determination to grow is business is admirable and it's so fun watching him fall for his Client Kitrina. Their obstacles mainly her over controlling mother with money. Can their budding relationship survive or will she cave in? If you want to know you have to read the book but you will enjoy!

3.5 Zephyr effect stars!

Kitrina, our MC, is a 19-20 year old who has been living under her mother's thumb her entire life. The perfect student and the perfect daughter, Kitrina has always lived her life to please her mother and never had time for anything else. Eventually the pressure to be the perfect daughter, she decided to 'rebel' and leave her mother's home. She takes her savings--which are significant due to a childhood acting career and a wealthy mother--and buys a house. As soon as she shows her mother, her mother does not approve. She calls in an inspector and, much to Kit's disappointment, the house needs a lot of work.

Jayson Zephyr is the owner of Zephyr Brothers Construction. He's a working-class kind of guy with a past that haunts him. Determined to be better than his youth, he takes care of his four brothers and his mother while maintaining a new business. He is hired by Kit and her mother to renovate the house that Kit has purchased.

Kit and Jayson fight their growing attraction, but inevitably, the two come together. It is a sweet, slow process and a fun romance to watch bloom. Unfortunately, trouble can't escape them. Kit's mother does not approve and Jayson's past catches up with him. The two struggle, but it is clear that they are in love.

Fighting to be independent. Fighting to be with each other. Fighting to be better than before. This book is about fighting and overcoming and love. I really enjoyed this book and I hope to see some of the Zephyr brothers fall in love, too.

This is the first Ive read of this author. I enjoyed the story and the characters involved. It hsd just enough twists and turns to keep you interested. The relationship and Jayson and Kit was great but needed some more of something but overall I really like it and look forward to more of her work.

This is a great story about getting out from a controlling mother. Kat finally takes a stand for herself, it brings so rash decisions. Kat finally finds love but will that love last with her mother trying to sabotage everything she is working for. Kat deserves a happy ending does she get it? Guess you will have to read to find out.

I have to admit

I skimmed. I knew what was going to happen from page one, but I read it anyway. These two were annoying. Truly, kit should have stayed with her mom. She absolutely drove me as crazy as her mom did. I have not a clue what the hero saw in her. I felt nothing but annoyed.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book. Not just the main ones but all of them. I'm hoping Jayson's brothers get their own books. :)
