From Award of Excellence finalist and Angie Award winner, Susannah Scott, comes a new, ancient world series full of exiled magicians, imperiled dragon-shifters, and steamy romance. An outcast magician with lousy control... Kas is a half-light with the “gift” of invisibility and healing, but her sometimes deadly magic makes her distrusted by her own people. In an effort to prove her worth and save her people from execution, she infiltrates an enemy castle on a spy mission, but is kidnapped by a powerful intruder. When her only friend is taken hostage as well, Kas has no choice but to embrace her volatile magic and turn to her captor for help.
A dragon-shifter king with an island in revolt... Cullen is the most powerful dragon of his generation, but strength and cunning won’t stop the mysterious scourge killing his kinsmen. After he steals Kas away to heal them, he’s incensed to find her magic is uncontrollable. Despite her unpredictable powers and non-existent fighting skills, he soon becomes convinced she holds the key to saving the dying dragon race. He’s willing to do anything to gain her cooperation. Even if it means breaking all taboos and seducing the crafty little magician.
With a kingdom of enemies after them both, Kas and Cullen must learn to trust each other before their kingdoms are rendered extinct.
DRAGONS WILL FALL is a full-length HEA, stand-alone fantasy romance about a woman who doesn’t trust anyone, not even herself, and the Dragon King who convinces her to examine her fears and desires. The series may appeal to fans of Warprize, Throne of Glass, Radiance, and the Dragon Blood series. Due to “open-door” sexual content and dastardly-dude-comeuppance, this book is recommended for mature readers.
I really should read more fantasy books... I always enjoy them. There is just something nice about slipping into a completely different world and it was just what I needed! Add in a little dragon love and well, that's a win win combination. This author has created a unique world comprised of dragons, magicians, half-breeds, and humans. The half-breeds are humans who have some magic but are not full magicians. They are considered outcasts and live in hiding and on the run from the humans that hunt them. There are a lot of layers to this world, plenty of action and of course... a little bit of steamy romance to tie it all together. Kas is a half-breed who finds herself not quite fitting in anywhere. She's exactly the kind of heroine that I love because despite the fact that everyone seems to be working against her, she pushes forward anyway to do what needs to be done. I loved watching her character grow from the desperate outcast to the strong capable powerful woman she was meant to be. Cullen is a dragon who is desperate to find help for a sickness that is plaguing his people. He hunts Kas down in the hopes of using her magic to help find a cure. As the story develops, a strong relationship of trust develops between them. An unlikely match between a human and dragon, but as she comes into her power they seemed to fit together perfectly. This is a great start to this series. And, plenty of supporting characters that I can't wait to read more about in future installments. The teaser at the end of the book definitely has me curious about Muriel, Kas's best friend, and what she's up too. Sounds like that is going to be an entertaining read.
I wasn't quite sure how much I would like DRAGONS WILL FALL during the first couple of pages, but the book picked up nicely and the characters quickly start grabbing your attention.
In DRAGONS WILL FALL we meet Kasima, a half-light. She and the other half-lights are in hiding from those that wish to harm them, but she is currently using her gift of invisibility to spy in the castle because someone has infiltrated their camp and is putting them in even more danger. I won't go much more into the plot of the book, but she ends up meeting Cullen in the castle and finds out that Cullen is looking for her, but she isn't willing to tell him that she is who he is looking for and she refuses to take him to the half-light camp like he demands. The Dragons are dying and he is desperate to find Kasima in hopes that she can heal them. We find out very early on that Kas also has the gift of healing, but she is scared of her power because it has killed in the past and she doesn't have control of it. She goes through quite a bit in DRAGONS WILL FALL to try and get her powers under control so she can help cure the dragons of the illness that is killing them.
I found Kas to be very determined, a bit stubborn and willing to do just about anything to get the job done. She has a really hard time trusting people, but is very loyal once she does. Cullen came off as very hard in the beginning, but we quickly get to know how much he cares for his people. Cullen and Kas's romantic relationship was slow going, but kinda exploded when they finally gave into each other. The other dragons definitely don't approve of their relationship and I really loved how Cullen could care less about what they thought.
I had fun learning about and exploring the new world that Ms. Scott created in her new Kingdom Come series. The whole story flowed well and the characters were all very likable (or extremely unlikable where required lol). I enjoyed the way that Kas and Cullen worked together to defeat the dragon's foe and although I am a bit hesitant, because she seems a bit shady at the moment, I am excited to see what happens with Muriel in her book, which I am thinking will be next.

What a fantastic and wildly captivating start to Scott’s new series. She takes the fantasy world by storm, giving it a little bit of a shake and providing readers with a story that they won’t soon forget. I loved the mix of magic and dragons, humans and half-breeds. Everyone had their role in the world, even if they weren’t necessarily happy with it. The world building here is beyond compare, from locale to history to associated mythology, and everything in between. The tone & pace with which Scott writes lends itself well to the imaginative and well developed plot of the story.
Kas’ place in the world was quite intriguing. The way that she defined herself and was defined by those around her set readers up for one intriguing journey. The way that she feared what she’d do to others humanized her. She couldn’t grasp her own potential. Cullen was a paradox: dangerous alpha king, kind caring friend, cherished lover. I loved getting to know him. The rest of the cast was well developed as well. Scott brings them to life in such a manner that they truly enhance the story, be they good or evil.
As usual, Scott puts pen to paper in an exciting, imaginative, & endlessly entertaining tale. This was an unforgettable tale that I’ll be reading time & time again. I, for one, can’t wait to continue on with the rest of the series. My final thoughts? Ms. Scott, next book please!
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
DRAGONS WILL FALL, BOOK 1 shows a lot of promise and has some really cool characters.
Her people, the Half-Lights, were the by-blows of the full-blood Magicians and humans. As such, they were outcasts from both kingdoms. Their magic was too unpredictable for the magicians, and too magic - period - for the humans.
DRAGONS WILL FALL, BOOK 1 by Susan Scott heralds the first book in Susan's new Kingdom Come series. If you follow my reviews, you know that I love tales featuring dragons and that I have thoroughly enjoyed this author's Las Vegas Dragons series. Therefore, it was a given that this fresh series was an automatic must-read for me. DRAGONS WILL FALL was the story of Dragon-Shifter King Cullen and Half-Light Kas.
Cullen's dragons are dying. He has not found anything that could save them and is desperate to find a cure. He pleaded with the Magicians to help and they instructed him to find a certain Half-Light who is gifted in healing. Cullen finds an invisible Half-Light in the castle of Humans and demands her help in locating the Half-Light he seeks. What he doesn't know is that she is the one he seeks.
Unfortunately, I struggled through the first half of this book. If this book had been written by a new author to me, it probably would have ended up in my DNF pile. But, because I have loved Susan's other series, I persevered. I'm glad that I did as the second half of the book evolved into a captivating read with some neat characters, intrigue, romance, and battles. It has also now incited my interest in reading the next two books in this series.
I'm happy to report that I got to where I liked the hero and heroine, Cullen and Kas. I enjoyed seeing them learn to trust and to grow as individuals and as a couple. But, for some reason, I just couldn't connect with them at first. I also started having strong feelings for some of the supporting characters about the same time in the story as I connected with Cullen and Kas. I do not know why it took me so long.
In the story, the kingdoms of Humans, Magicians and Dragons do not get along and perhaps the author wrote those sections too well for me as there seemed to be valid reasons to dislike each of the realms and their inhabitants. The Half-Lights were kingdom-less, but even they were afflicted with in-fighting. The second half of the book was more focused on just one kingdom - the Dragons' kingdom - and individual characters there started standing out and not being as despicable as they were at first. I have read some other reviews and I am most definitely in the minority. So... please take my opinion for what it's worth. I normally love romantic fantasies and dragons ordinarily float my boat, but perhaps I was just not in the mood and didn't realize that I wasn't.
There were some upsetting betrayals and losses over the course of this story. Thankfully, the epilogue was both a happy ending and an intriguing preview of the next book, which will be Hank and Muriel's story. Felix and Lettie's story will be out in CY2016. Hank, Muriel, and Felix are three supporting characters that I grew attached to in this book, so I can't wait to read their stories. Series Information Kingdom Come: Book 1: Dragons Will Fall, (Kas and Cullen) September 2015 Book 2: Waters Will Rage, (Muriel and Hank), early 2016 Book 3: Kingdom Come, (Felix and Lettie), late 2016
Kas is a half light - not fully human and not a full magician. Unfortunately she isn't accepted in either world. She doesn't have control of her powers of invisibility or healing and when she tries to use her invisibility to find out who is giving away the secrets to the half lights hidden camp everything that could go wrong does. She kills the King by accident, and is somehow seen by Cullen. He doesn't really see her, it is his dragon side that smells her and allows him to kidnap her. He does this not knowing she could be the cure to the dragon sickness of his people. This begins the story of two people learning to trust themselves and each other.
I love a dragon story and this one will not disappoint. Dragons Will Fall is the first in the series and I look forward to reading the next one. I am hoping there will be several more to come.
I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this one! Great start to an exciting new series. I already love Susannah's dragons but this one takes us into the world of dragonshifters, and magic, and what she has conjured is amazing.
Kasima McClellan is a half-light who watched her family killed for not surrendering her to a murderous king who wished to wipe out all things magical. Her gift is one of invisibility, once she uses well as a spy in the human world. In an attempt to discover the identity of the spy infiltrating the Half-Light camp, she accidentally kills the king and is taken prisoner by a strange man who seems to be able to see her while she is invisible. She soon discovers, he’s much more than he seems and it was his sense of sight that gave her away to gorgeous and dangerous, Cullen Armati but instead, it was his sense of smell because he’s a dragon.
Cullen wants desperately to find someone to cure his dying dragons. Having already lost too many to this strange sickness, his last hope is a Half-Light healer and without knowing it, he’s caught in the human king’s chambers. She does her best to distract him, trick him, and escape him but when he learns the truth of who she is, he’s quick to transform into his black dragon and steal her away to the island of dragons—Islador. It’s there that Kas learns much about the world in which she’d been living and about those she called friends, and enemies. She also discovers new friends, and love.
DRAGONS WILL FALL by Susannah Scott is an amazing adventure and exploration into a fantasy world filled with half human/magicians, half dragon/magicians, rogue dragons, dangerous and manipulative magicians, and humans who are afraid of all of them while trying to survive and figure out who to trust and not to trust. Kas is unable to trust anyone except her closest friends, and she soon discovers that’s not always possible either. She’s not even sure about trusting herself. Her self-confidence is such that it inhibits her abilities and it isn’t until the dragons build upon that confidence that she discovers her true talents. While on Islador, Kas faces unwarranted hatred, attempts on her life, and danger at every turn but she also learns to trust, in herself, in Cullen, and in new friends. Life might not be easy for a Half-Light but with good friends and love as her support, anything is possible, even falling in love with a dragon.
I highly recommend DRAGONS WILL FALL, book one in the Kingdom Come series by Susannah Scott to anyone who loves a fabulous and different world, action and danger, and if you love dragons, you will thrill in the way Susannah takes us into the dragons' world. I can’t wait for Muriel and Hank’s story…yes, she gives a preview at the end of DRAGONS WILL FALL. Trouble is brewing in WATERS WILL RAGE.

Susan Scott brings us a wonderful fantasy romance - who can't love a dragon - especially a Dragon King!
We first meet Kas - she is a half-light - (part magician, part human), she has the gift of invisibility and healing. However, they are all on the run and hiding from and evil King who is trying to rid the world of everything magic. After, watching her family butchered because of her and then accidentally killing another half-light she is trying to find her way into the good graces of her group and goes invisible into the castle to see if she can find the spy that is telling King Hellard where to find them.
While on her mission she meets a stranger who can see her when she is invisible and is stunned. He tries to make a deal with her - he is looking for the half-light healer. She attempts to evade him and is ultimately kidnapped. Turns out the stranger is a dragon - not just a dragon - but a dragon shifter, who is the most powerful dragon of his generation and the King - something is amiss on his fair island and he needs Kas to learn her powers and find what is making his flock sick and die.
Kas doesn't trust her powers, so Cullen sends her to train with the Dragons and he helps her grasp her powers and learn to trust herself. Along the way the two fall in love - but can a Dragon King and a mongrel Half-Light have a HEA?
Ms. Scott weaves a wonderfully descriptive story with strong characters - I laughed, I cried, and I screamed a few times. She takes you away to a fantasy world beyond compare and makes you believe that the world still has a few mysteries. If you are looking for a stellar fantasy romance - with a nice bit of steam, I highly recommend this one!
I look forward to reading more by this author. I am in independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock. Giving this one 5 Freaking Fantastic Fangs!
Despite Kas’ unpredictable powers, Cullen is convinced that the half-light that he has abducted holds the key to saving his kinsmen and he will do whatever it takes to gain her cooperation in this spellbinding fantasy romance.
Trying to prove her worth and save her people, Kas infiltrates an enemy castle only to be kidnapped by an intruder and the reader can’t help but get drawn into the excitement as Cullen breaks all the taboos and seduces the crafty little magician. The chemistry between Cullen and Kas heats up the pages and the sex scenes are steamy but the relationship has a couple of major obstacles…the dragons don’t want a human around and Kas doesn’t really trust anybody. Strong, bewitching characters demand the reader’s attention while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot enthralls readers with lots of suspense, action and romance.
Expectation builds lots of spine tingling tension as Kas tries to learn to control her healing powers while dodging numerous attempts on her life and excitement keeps the adrenaline pumping as it soon becomes clear that Cullen is in the midst of a kingdom in revolt and the danger to Kas and himself is escalating with unexpected twists and betrayals keeping everyone guessing. The well written scenes and details provide vivid imagery that makes it easy for the reader to become absorbed in the story while the intriguing events ensure that there is never a dull moment.
Dragons, magicians and kingdoms in turmoil along with interesting elements, some humor and emotional angst draw the reader in and there was no way I could put the story down once I started reading it, it has all the elements of an epic fantasy that guarantee that I will keep coming back for more and I can’t wait to read the next book in this fascinating trilogy.
As the first book in Susan Scott’s brand new fantasy romance series, Dragons Will Fall kept me on the edge of my seat with fantastic world building, a strong Alpha hero, and an intelligent, independent heroine. The enemies to lovers trope is one of my all time favorites, and Scott has delivered in another sensual and captivating fantasy romance.
I was immediately hooked as Kas infiltrates the human castle to uncover the double-agent passing information about her half-light clan to the human king. She’s feisty, has just the right amount of attitude, and can take care of herself. Everything that makes a compelling heroine for me. I expected that strength to continue throughout the story, specifically when she confronts certain dragon shifters, but it’s easily believable the half-human, half-magician wouldn’t be able to take on a dragon herself. And there’s some vulnerability in there Scott explores perfectly.
As for the hero, Cullen is everything I’d imagined in a dragon-shifter. As the king, he’s dealing with real chaos in his kingdom and even more conflict concerning his feelings for Kas considering she isn’t a dragon shifter. He’s strong, sexy, holds his own, and knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to holding the heroine against her will.
The intrigue kept me turning the pages. In a kingdom of chaos with dragons dying left and right, only Kas and Cullen can save the rest of his people. While their partnership is forced out of necessity, I thoroughly enjoyed the romantic journey and the characters’ determination to rise above what was expected.
OK! So, Cullen says to Kas, “I can hear your heartbeat and smell your emotions. You’re lying.” And her answer is, “I wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire.” WTH? How much sense does that make? How did the author even come up with an answer like that? And that was only at about 7%. I had hoped that rest of the books conversations wouldn’t be that stupid.
By 53% I really wasn’t crazy about this book but I decided to go on, because I’d already read the other 3 dragon books by this author and gave them all 4 stars. But this one, I found that parts were confusing and others were just silly. The attraction between Kas and Cullen didn’t even seem real, like it was really forced. Like the night Cullen came to her room. The misunderstanding came so fast, went nowhere, then he left. He was a dragon, she was a Half-light and they had only just met but she wanted to be considered his equal? I think that conversation should have waited a little longer, at least until they knew each other.
OK, at 60% I’m done. It’s nothing like the other 3 books because it so boring and there’s just no feelings between the hero and heroine. Except for Cullen thinking a couple of times that he’d like to get her in his bed there is no sexual attraction and I have no idea if there’s sex. As of 60% there’s wasn’t but I’m assuming there will be some sooner or later. Maybe I’ll try to finish this one day but I have no idea when or if that will happen.
I had the good fortune of receiving this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I love dragons and I love reading about them. In this book there are a few with magicians, half-light humans and just plain old humans. You get to meet Kas (half-light with powers of invisibility and healing), her friend Muriel (half-light with powers over water) and of course Cullen (the dragon) and many more. In this book you get to see the struggles that they go through, that live isn't fair, good versus evil etc. But most of all you will get a great book to read, if dragons, magicians and good old baddies are you thing then I highly recommend this book to read.
I received an ARC for an honest review. I do love dragons. and there were a lot in this story. I liked Kas and her discovering of her powers and of another world . there's good vs. evil, and you need to read this to find out. I think Muriel will also be an interesting character in a future book. sorry, no spoilers here :-)
Kas is half Human and half Magician. So, to the other races of the realm (Human, Magician, and Dragon) she is considered an abomination. She has found a group of others like her hiding out in the wilderness trying to survive the hunt of their kind. Kas has two gifts, healing and invisibility. She tries to spy on the humans to help her people, but a strange visitor to the palace finds her even though she using her invisibility magic.
The man who finds her, takes her with him as he flees from the castle. It turns out he is a dragon, who Kas thought no longer existed. Cullen is desperate to save his people and hopes that Kas' unique healing powers can save them. He brings her to his kingdom where she is just as despised as everywhere else. The two face the strange illness as well as unrest of Cullen's people together and become close.
I liked Dragon's Will Fall, but I didn't love it. Some parts didn't make sense because they seemed hypocritical. A human/magician is considered an abomination, but a dragon/magician isn't notable? I had a hard time grasping the difference. The story did flow well and was engaging, but I didn't find the story line very unique. It highly reminded me of two other books, Vengeance Born by Kylie Griffin, and Shadow Kin by M.J. Scott. They all are about "half breed" women who are hated by everyone but have special powers that can save everyone.
The romantic plot wasn't bad, but I did feel it needed a little more. I just never felt the butterflies in my stomach from the growing relationship. If you have never read a story with this type of plot line and enjoy magic and fantasy in your books, I think you might really enjoy it. I liked the book, it just was too similar to other books I've read so I never got crazy excited.
All right, I received the chance to read Susan Scott's (also known as Susannah Scott) Dragons Will Fall. This is a little different from her Vegas dragons, which we enter a fantastical area where we see dragons, magic, and powerful kings. Basically, we are introduce to a magical kingdom.
We meet Kas who is a half-light, which is a person born from a magician and human. They don't have the full power of a magician and they aren't quite human. The half-lights aren't accept into either group, so they are driven out of the land. Kas is trying to help her people, but don't see her as much help. Her character broke my heart, because she doesn't feel accept anywhere. Throughout the story we see her feeling alone a lot of the times. We also have Cullen who is the Dragon King. He basically searches out Kas to help his people recover from the sickness that is slowly killing the dragons. Kas feels that she can't help them, because her magic is unstable. We see Cullen trying to help her control her powers. If that wasn't the only issue we have an uprise in the winds. We traitors left and right, and we aren't quite sure who is set to seek out the demise of the dragons.
Overall, Dragons Will Fall is a pretty good start to this magical world where we find deceit and intrigue. I like that we see the foundation forming to introduce us to this magical kingdom. It peaked my interest to see what happens next. I'm curious to see what happens next.
Such a WONDERFUL story from start to finish! This book is a time period book, were humans, Half-lighters, Dragon-shifters and others come to life in this world!! This book starts at a easy pace that lets you get to know each character as the story flows, and each character comes to life under the creative writing of Mrs. Scott.. The creative way she describes the way a place looks, action fight, and the emotions that each character feels was just GREAT writing!! The main characters Half-lighter Kas, she is smart, cares deeply for her people, and Cullen who is the Dragon King that trying to save his people, he was told Kas is the key to saving his Dragon race, but her powers have not been trained. Plus, Kas hasn't tried healing since she killed someone while healing them.. I enjoyed how these two start off not liking each other, an lets their relationship develop at an easy pace that I enjoyed! The plot is someone is poisoning the Dragons, and Cullen needs Kas to heal them. But having Kas stay there with all the Dragons isn't safe for Kas. Dragon's does not trust outsiders. I enjoyed how she brought to life such an AMAZING story, can't wait for the next!! MUST READ!! I recommend this to all that loves an action packed Dragon-shifter romance!!
I was provided a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. Half-Light Kas has decent control over her invisibility, but none over her healing power. Which is only part of why being kidnapped by a dragon king to save his people from a mysterious disease is problematic. The fact that she’s thinking as much about his ridiculously sexy abs as she is about escaping is another part. But when she sees the sick dragon people, she wants to help. Unfortunately, she hasn’t been able to use her healing power for years, and now it is more dangerous than beneficial. Kas and the dragon king Cullen must harness her power and figure out where the sickness is coming from before the sinister forces behind it destroy them both. I really enjoyed this novel. Kas is a spunky heroine, and Cullen is a sexy alpha. As always, Susan Scott writes great banter and hot, steamy sex scenes. Throw in one of my favorite genres (fantasy), and you have a win. I did feel a bit like some of the story was rushed. I wanted a bit more interiority—especially from Cullen. But overall, I loved it, and I can’t wait to read book 2.
As treachery surrounds them Cullen, a powerful dragon shifter king needs to find Kas, a half-light with the gift of healing. His dragons are dying and only she can save them. He captures her but finds that she is afraid to use her power. The last time she did things went very badly. Can these two help each other and defeat their enemy? Cullen is stubborn and unyielding. He is determined to accomplish his goal. Kas is his opposite. She's afraid. She has always been told that she's unworthy. Guilt and pain are her constant companion. Her magic caused the death of her family. Now she's surrounded by unfriendly dragons who want her dead. Cullen and Kas fight the attraction that they feel, but sparks fly when they are together. I love how they interacted. He helps her become strong and shows her that she has nothing to fear. I could feel their love. The story is well plotted and filled with dangerous surprises. The action is non-stop. The setting adds to the atmosphere as does the dialogue. Susan Scott has created a world that pulled me right in. I enjoyed the first book in the Kingdom Come series. I can't wait to read Hank and Muriel's story.
Fantastic tale of dragons, magic users, and humans. Kas is a half human half magic user, shunned by the pure breeds. Her magical gifts of healing and invisibility work erratically if at all. She lives with other halflings who also despise her because of her inconsistent gifts. But she loves her people and puts her own life at risk to try to protect them from the humans, who want to eradicate the halfling abominations. Cullen is a black dragon, leader of his people, who is trying to find a cure for an illness killing off the dragons. Cullen has heard of Kas's healing gifts and wants her to try to save his people, even though the dragons also despise the humans and halflings. This was a fantastic tale of two people trying to save their own people, and learning to love and save each other. It was a tale full of action, intrigue, betrayal, and loyalty. The action and intrigue started on page 1 and kept me entranced through the whole book. Great book!
Magicians, humans, and dragon-shifters rule the three kingdoms. The half-lights are half-human and half-magicians and all three kingdoms hunt them and think they are an abomination. Kas is a half-light healer who can’t control her magic and is always in the wrong place at the wrong time. Cullen is the king of the dragon-shifters and he needs to Kas to heal his kind.
Kas is hated everywhere she goes and with the dragons it is no different. She just wants to save her friend Muriel from the humans. Cullen makes her a deal to stay and try to heal his kind. Kas has no confidence in herself or her skills but does find Cullen very interesting. A little betrayal with a splash of romance makes this a worth the read. I look forward to Hank and Muriel’s story as well as Felix and Lettie’s story next year!
Cullen's family members are dying, and as the leader of the dragons he needs to find a healer to cure the sickness even if he has to kidnap her.
Ras is a half-light who possesses the power to become invisible and to heal the sick or injured. She has a hard time controlling her healing powers so she prefers to keep them a secret.
As Cullen tries to help her build confidence in herself he opens his heart to emotions he never wanted. Can they find out what's killing the dragons before it's too late or will he lose everyone he loves?
I received a complimentary copy from the author for an honest review.
I read this book as part of the anthology Edge of Never.
I really enjoyed this book. It had an interesting story line that was intricate but not overly complex. The book definitely pulled me in. The characters were well-rounded and enjoyable to read about. One of my favorite parts: I found it funny in many places (I always love a book that can make me laugh out loud). I will definitely be looking to read other books in the Kingdom Come series by Scott! [Note: this could be read as a stand-alone.]
I have stepped into a magical world where dragons and other types of magic are still alive. When people believed in dragons, magic, and kings. Dragons Will Fall is a breath of fresh air. Susan Scott's skill at storytelling has woven a world so realistic that the dynamic characters practically leap off the page.
Dragons Will Fall is the first book in Susannah Scott's new Kingdom Come series. What I enjoyed most was the uniqueness of this paranormal story. Susannah truly created a mystical world with the perfect mix of fantasy, magic, dragons, betrayal, love, royalty, battles, and passion. This quick read will keep you entertained from start to finish.
I love dragon shifters, and this was a really nice start to a new series by a new-to-me author. I loved Cullen, and Kas was a spunky heroine. Looking forward to reading the next book.
