10 Mysterious Accounts Of True Paranormal Hauntings, Vanishing People, Creepy Unexplained Phenomena And The Unknown Have you ever wondered what dangers loom out there in the cold and vast expanse of the cosmos? What beings live amongst us in this universe that we call our own?
Maybe they are searching for us too or waiting for us to discover them so that we can exchange knowledge and make this universe a better place for all living creatures.
Or maybe these beings lie in wait and arbitrarily emerge from oblivion to wreak havoc on the unlucky and unsuspecting humans that cross their paths? Maybe we are not alone in this universe, maybe our souls do continue to live on after death.
Perhaps certain areas of this Earth contain portals to the world of the unknown - a world that holds a powerful mystique that no mortal has ever ventured into and come out the same… if they do come out at all.
Join me as we explore various episodes of true paranormal hauntings, vanishing people, creepy unexplained phenomena and the unknown. This book is not for the faint of heart as it contains accounts of various inexplicable occurrences that can only be attributed to the world beyond.
If you love scary, weird and just plain crazy stories about the most bizarre things that have happened on this planet, then grab this book now!
I tried to think of a more clever title but like the author, am at a loss for better words or ideas. First off, if a warning for the faint hearted, it's doubtful that person would make it through a Casper the Friendly Ghost cartoon. Nothing scary, dubious mysteries and laughable analysis and conclusions from th he author. Example: Analyzing the disappearance of a bus passenger, he either jumped through a window of a 1950's era bus unnoticed, especially all the more ridiculous given the size of Windows, let alone the obvious whys and wherefore. Also the conjecture all the passengers disposed of him. I guess we should call the bus "Murder on the Greyhound Express. Just one of many examples in the analysis which also included salient points not included in the body of the story. Reader beware or caveat emptor.
The introduction to this book promises it will scare you. A puppy is scarier than anything written in this book. It skims the very surface of what could be some interesting stories but gives no real detail or investigation.
These might be good stories of fiction, if they were expanded upon. They might be good true mysteries, if they were more researched and documented. Just an example...there is historical documentation of the missing British soldiers ( in that event called World War I commonly). There were survivors. It was a merciless war, and many remains were found to to three years later. They had been slaughtered in an engagement with the Turks. No UFOs. No disappearing army. Just the grim, historical reality of WWI.
It feels like the answer is trying to debunk more than he.is trying to enlighten us on our paranormal world. A book that literally lost my interest after the first couple of stories.
The stories include one from 1976 where a nanny and a young girl disappeared in an airport only to reappear soon after with no memory of what had happened to them. One story involves an Ouija board and, as expected, things don't go well.
Granted, there is no scientific evidence for the existence of ghosts, spirits, other dimensions or anything like that. There are many, though, that believe there are beings of some nature that either are evil or at least have a lot of negative energy and this type of being can be contacted through the use of an Ouija board.
The results are almost always bad.
Then there's stories involving Bigfoot, odd odors, strange lights, the disappearance of an entire British battalion, possible UFOs and other matters like that.
The book is quite interesting, reminding me of the old Frank Edwards books.
After reading the entire book, I felt like it was aimed more at middle graders. It starts with a warning about not being too terrified. There is nothing in this book that would be scary to adults, especially those living in 2020.
Many of the tales are familiar, but incomplete. It's like the tale fades away, then the author adds what she thought could have happened. It reminds me of story time at the library. It was okay for what it was, but I would have liked more actual story and less author opinion.
Some of these tales did have more content that wasn't included. Perhaps the author didn't research enough. Overall, it's a quick read that can be mildly entertaining. It's probably great fun for your middle schoolers.
Some real gems here in the paranormal. Naturally a sceptic, some of these cases are hard to explain away. I enjoyed the book very much and will continue to read works by the author. The human mind is fascinated by the unexplained, and this book, very well written, is a treasure chest full.
Thought provoking. True? Fictional? I lean toward true, as I have experienced paranormal activity that tried to harm my adult son in an abandoned city hall he was helping to demolish and rebuild into apartments. Enough strange and inexplicable things occurred to result in my enlisting the help of a paranormal society.
Finally a book where I didn’t know every story in it. Usually when I get a new book of unexplained phenomenon it is always stories I have heard already. Well in this book I only knew one story which blows me away the rest were new and so interesting. If you love the obscure and bizarre you’re going to love this book.
Another will written fantasy thriller hauntings adventure novella by Layla Hawkes. The tales of fantasy as with a novel of several stories some very good 👍others not so but I would recommend this novella to anyone looking for a fantasy quick read. Enjoy the adventure of reading 👓 or listening 🎶 to 👍 novels 🔰😈 2022
These stories were interesting. Some of them really made me wonder about unexplainable events. I really enjoyed the stories. Will be on the lookout for more by this author.
I'm glad this book was free or I would not have been happy. Its not bad grammar wise it just sounded like a bunch of campfire stories to try and scare you. Which it failed to do so.
I have always loved reading books about the paranormal, this book was pretty good! I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the same thing!
Short stories about mysterious goings on in the world. There were no concrete conclusions just guesses which is fine, but it felt like a child had written this book.
the stories in this were ok but didn't really draw me in. the analysis sections I skipped as they didn't encourage me to think further about these stories.
Quick read of unusual stories of unusual events. Many of the incidents are unexplained. Many incidents occurred during the early 1900's and some occurred before then. A missed event was the story of a man instantly combusting in the 1950's.
