GRACE BE A LADY by Heather Frey Blanton

War has broken out in 1890's Wyoming. Now, sparsely populated Johnson County is more explosive than the mean streets of Chicago ... and Grace Hendrick is right in the middle of the fight. Banished to the dusty cow town of Misery for an alleged affair, she is facing the hardest decisions of her life.

Thad Walker is the middle son of the oldest, most successful cattle baron in Wyoming and he always puts the ranch first. One chance meeting with Grace Hendrick, though, batters his resolve like a hail storm in July. When Grace's brother Greg is hired by a local widow, Thad figures the kid is the straightest path to Grace's heart. As friendship and love blossom, so do the lies, some in unexpected hearts. Eventually, deceit catches fire and threatens everything Grace and Thad hold dear.

THEY CALL HER MRS. SHERIFF by Cynthia Hickey

Wild Horse Pass is a picturesque town in the mountains with high standards and no law. The people are surprised to see a woman named Wilhemina Jackson arrive as their sheriff, but are so desperate for someone to enforce the law, they decide to let her stay after she proves to them what a good shot she is with a rifle.

Thomas Miller is ready for a sheriff to step in and take over law enforcement for the vigilantes, but he’s not excited about the arrival of a leather-wearing, split-skirt, woman sheriff. Especially one pretty enough to grace a tea room back east.

Can Willie and Tom lay aside their differences to find out what really matters?

MAIL ORDER BRIDES: MONTANA’S BRIDE by Susette Williams

Montana Kincaid figures if writing a mail order bride worked out so well for his youngest brother, why not try it himself? He’s made sure to ask all the right questions so he doesn’t end up with any of the surprises Jessie had. But life is often full of surprises—unfortunately, they’re not all good surprises!

Mary Dobson lost her parents when she was still a child. Her aunt and uncle took her in and to raise. Out of obligation, Mary corresponded with Calvin, a friend of theirs, but stopped writing him once she started receiving letters from Montana. Unsettled by a recent letter from Calvin, Mary decides it best that she join her fiancé, Montana, several months earlier than planned.

The Kincaids are not strangers to danger, but this time, will they lose a new addition to their family?

Redemption Lynette Sowell
A lovely story of true redemption…from a life on the run with a gang, Charlotte better known as Charlie, comes to town looking for her Aunt and finally finds her. In doing so, she also finds that her past can be forgiven by God and her life is now redeemed by the blood of Christ. She also finds she doesn’t have to travel life’s road alone. A love story you won’t expect!
Love’s Gamble Tina Dee
Jeff and Eddie are brothers…opposite in about every way. Jeff is responsible, a hard worker and was hurt in love. Eddie is a gambler, not responsible and loving the women of the town. Somehow a Mail order bride has arrived with Eddie’s name attached and yet no Eddie to claim her so Jeff sets out to fix the mess. Molly is the Mail Order Bride who somehow confuses Jeff’s fixing a bad situation as a negative not to mention thinks Jeff is really Eddie. Mass confusion along the way leads to a hurried wedding with one of the brothers. A fun read definitely!
Grace be a lady Heather Free Blanton
What a great story! I picked it up because I love historical fiction and was pleasantly surprised! Grace is in a terrible marriage. Her husband beats her and cheats on her....then he decides to send her away to the middle of Wyoming to teach her a lesson. Can she survive without being a soiled dove? Great story line! Thanks for the great read!
They Call Her Mrs. Sheriff Cynthia Hickey
Excitement at every turn! WIllie takes her job as Sheriff very seriously, but the town isn't so sure so they put her as a temp for 3 months to prove herself. Will she prove her abilities to be the best Sheriff in the territory to her family, her new town, and to the man who doesn't think she can take care of herself let alone their town?! Great Read!!!
Mail Order Brides: Montana Bride Susette Willaims
Montana and Mary's story has the Mail Order Bride cuteness as far as the correspondence and the little twist the day of the wedding. This story keeps your attention and is a quick easy read. I was gifted this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I must have picked up a different set than the five star reviewers did. Squeaky clean, historical westerns with a message. Some more preachy than others. I don't mind the preachy part. It's the ridiculously simple manner in which a couple were written. Very elementary, to the point of childishness. I wondered, more than once, if these were geared toward middle school age.

I won't go into the details for each one as others have summarized them. I think the plot was interesting in a couple but what really turned me off was the misspelled words, missing words, incorrect use of words. In the first one, even the name of the hero was misspelled. How hard is it to spell Matt correctly? I've learned to overlook a few mistakes but when you have to go back and re-read something to see what the author is talking about, is another thing. It's insulting to a reader that an author puts work out there that's sloppy. Think twice before delving into this set.

Amazing Stories!

I loved every one in this set and hated for each one to end. The authors brought me into each story as if I was there with them. I wrote down several scriptures used and laughed at some of the sayings the characters used. You will not be disappointed.
