Jimmy's Imagination

Rate this book
Jimmy is a geek. He only has one really close friend. The only other guy that takes any notice of him is the other Jimmy and that Jimmy is only interested in giving him a hard time. Jimmy also has his eye on one girl at school but he doesn't fancy his chances with her him being a geek and all. Then there's his family. His dad is a pretty quiet person but his mom is the opposite. She's not afraid to speak her mind and she's always on Jimmy's back. Jenny is Jimmy's five year old sister who seems to have Jimmy and the rest of the family wrapped around her little finger. She's cute and clever, way too clever for her age.
All in all Jimmy's life isn't too bad even though he is a nerd and he does get bullied every once in a while by Jimmy the jock. But Jimmy has big goals to help his family out and he has his laptop and his imagination to get him there and what an imagination he has got. And he can turn his imagination on when he needs help in an awkward situation or relief from a bit of stress! When Jimmy uses his imagination he can handle any situation even though he's a geek.
When tragedy strikes the family Jimmy changes. He starts to cut himself off from his friends, he loses his interest in all the hopes and goals that he used to have. And worst of all he loses his imagination and without his imagination how will Jimmy cope with all those stressful situations that teenage boys have to deal with? Jimmy will have to do a lot of growing up in a short period of time.
This is one of those teenage stories that will make you laugh, make you cry and give you hope in the ability of people to overcome adversity.
