That’s what I should say. This town isn’t something I would wish on my worst enemy. It’s brutal. It’s violent. It’s my living hell.
They hate everything about me from the fact I was born a witch, to my omega designation. Everything makes me a target…but nothing more so than the hex.
I have one power, one defense against this wave of hate.
I can give you bad luck, it doesn’t sound like much, until you have it.
I caught some bad luck of my own, my childhood bully Von West and my horrible sister’s best friend, Magnus Deep are back in town, alphas in their own right. Gorgeous, bossy, pains in my ass alphas who are everywhere I turn and all grown up.
The Hex of West Warden won’t be destoryed, no matter who tries to take me down or how viciously they come at me. I survived this long in this hateful town. I can survive bullies, my sister and whoever it is that wants to kill me.
At least I hope so, because there’s someone else here, another person who has come back to West Warden and they’ve got their sights on me. We have unfinished business.
I’m going to have to find a way to trust Von and Magnus if I want to survive. But even then…sometimes we all just need a bit of magic…
This was a new foray for Tea’s storytelling. All the Familiar Hexes is blend of small town Omegaverse and witchy magic. As a town pariah, Rai’s omega witch dual designation brings her nothing but pain. The town and its diabolical Seven beta leaders will stop at nothing to steal what small piece of safety she’s cultivated in her childhood home.
Rai’s very existence is in peril when her past heartaches come to call. She must find the courage to trust when the world has taught her not to.
This was a fun read full of suspense, painful healing, and a delightful family of chaos and cats. Rai endures so much but there is such a quiet strength in her ability to keep going. I do wish this was longer so we would have gotten more time if fully understanding her mom’s story, her sister’s corruption, and her alphas’ motivations more intricately. Call me greedy; but I would love a prequel novella that delves into Rai, Magnus, and Von’s childhoods.
If you are looking for an atmospheric read in this autumnal season, you should dive into this new standalone when it releases on November 9th. As always, check Tea’s website for content warnings.
I really enjoyed the witchy omegaverse that Tea Ravine created with Raidon, Magnus and Von. The dark themes from her other series is there but not to the extent of those. The plot was easy to get sucked into with Raidon being bullied for most of her life, estranged sister, the town hated her and her previous crushes/friends one day stopped talking to her. The different plot points intertwined kept me invested and it was an easy, enjoyable read that I near devoured in one go! I liked the relationship development and character development that Raidon had. Plus loved the horde of black cats she had! Raidon was definitely a strong female character mentally to keep going despite how bad life got which I liked about her character.
If you're still in the mood for a witchy omegaverse read then can easily recommend this for you!
Tea Ravine did it again! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t stop reading because I just had to know what was going to happen next. Omegaverse and witchcraft blended together…I haven’t read anything quite like this before and I loved it! I also loved how each character had their own unique personality.
One thing I love about Tea’s books is her FMCs! They are all amazing, and I love that they never back down or let anyone walk all over them and in the end they always come out on top! Rai is no exception!
And this quote from Rai
“The Omega Witch of West Warden, I don’t f@cking change for alphas, you all change for me.”
That right there is why I love her FMCs so much! This book definitely had it all and with a killer on the loose I couldn’t put it down!
I spent most of the book wishing I could Hex the characters right along with Rai. I might have raged on her behalf. With the exception of a small handful, the whole town deserves to have bad luck. I loved Rai and Von, Magnus took a little longer to grow on me, but he did. I'm so glad these three got their HEA.
Tea, why you gotta play with my emotions and head like that?! Did I just read my new obsession? Why yes, I did! And you will too, soon. Very, soon! All the Familiar Hexes is ridiculously and insanely good! Witchy ties and hex-vibes. That’s all I’m saying without any spoilers.
How do you come up with this stuff? Another fantastic omegaverse story from this author.
The fact that Rai remains who she is, despite everything that has happened, speaks volumes about what a good person she is. I could feel her emotions through the words.
